Hello from Bosnia and Herzegovina. It’s very relaxing to see your video. And your creations. I love when somebody makes something from nothing. Greetings from Tuzla
I was dying inside when it looked like you passed those paintings up. And then I was so relieved that you did indeed rescue them! I enjoyed this video very much!
@@JuliesDesignsandSignswhat did you use to clean the painting? I have loved watching you since you started. I just learned how to subscribe and be able to comment. 😅
Hey Julie! You can use your THREAD SPOOLS to create a super cute GARLAND!! I collect very old wood thread spools. The easiest way to make sure they are vintage is to only pick up the ones that have the "labeling" painted on to the ends The ones with paper labels are of newer age. Plus, the paper labeled won't have that cool lettering underneath the paper. I normally use jute rope. But I've used lace before as well. I usually begin by cutting my desired length of jute. And set out my spools, spacing them along next to the jute. I also use round wood beads, different sizes. I paint some, milk paint to get the chippy effect, antique wax, white wax. If you want the ends if the spools visible abd not covered by the other beads, I will time knots at the end of each spool. I also use different pieces of fabric abd lace, cutting pieces and tying them on the jute as well. I've used felt and made flowers and leaves with the spools as well. They are really cute!!! Hope that sparks your imagination! Please let me know if you try it out! I'd love to see what you make!!! Thank you! ❤❤❤
Hi Julie! I'm a crafter/quilter/crocheter & have lots of empty wood spools. I would have never thought to do a stamp or transfer around them! What a great idea 😊😊
Julie, you always pull out a complete “surprise “ with your Goodwill finds! With thousands of videos out there, that is quite an accomplishment. It sure keeps me waiting for the next one as soon as your video is over! I love your unique touch.❤.
LOVE the Wood Thread Spools with the Stenciling... The little furniture cups, I have some and they are shaped just like your marble ones, and are called paint palettes and they're from Germany, made of Porcelain with crazing all over them... I Absolutely Love them. I have a few very small vintage buttons in one.
I paint on canvases. I always try to be sure that they are tight like a drum before I paint. I wet the back like you did, but I also use a hair dryer with the heat to dry the back. That will tighten up the canvas also. Just a little hint in case you come across a canvas that is extra loose and doesn't tighten. You did a fabulous job with the one that you did. I love the results of everything!
Oh I enjoyed everything. I’m so happy you rescued the paintings and thanks for sharing what you did to fix the one. I love the easel idea for display. The chicken was adorable.
I have to pat myself on the back. I have kept these plants alive for 3 weeks....you are so cute, Julie! I love the spools and the hen. they are both so great! Of course I always love all of your projects

Love the spools. Need to add some to my craft room.
I probably will try to do something similar with the spools, but my favorite was the Momma Hen. 😊
JULIE!!! All of the items were AMAZING….that chicken wound up looking like old wrought iron!!
Such unique ideas❣️❣️
The “little furniture movers” were actually called casters and were used to put under furniture legs to prevent holes in your linoleum floor.
Everything turned out great but those spools are precious!
I agree!
You have the best ideas!!

The things you called furniture movers are actually meant to be used under the feet of cast iron steam radiators to protect the floors.

My favorite was the furniture gliders.. Julie your creativity always amazes me.❤.. the pumpkin was sòoo cute.
