Man that’s a pretty decent check. That week I ran 1134 miles and after all deductions I grossed 4354.76. Hirschbach was ok but glad I left and came to autumn transport.
A penny saved is a penny earned. You can’t make more money if you’re running the whole 70. You’re right, spending less is critical and take advantage of the small incentives the banks give. Get on a dedicated customer that will allow lease purchase drivers. That has constant frieght with a good driver manager. As a lease purchase operator, it gives you the ability to control expenses fuel, maintenance. Create a youtube channel and get a recruiting bonus per referral that gets hired.
I left Hirschbach 3yrs ago and went to a company right across the river in Dubuque and make $1800-$2000/wk as a company driver .had to get out of the lease game
I worked at Hirschbach once and had a terrible driver manager. I had to demand a new one and she was better. I also had weeks where I made $300 and a few times I made $2000 but average I made about $1000 a week. If I ever needed to I would probably go back but only because I know now what to ask for when I get there. When I started they tried to give me a damaged truck as well and had to demand a new one. I wasn't very impressed with the people teaching orientation in Dover either. Overall, I'd say Hirschbach is a decent company but certainly not the best.
When you lease operators talk about how much money you made in a week is that the money you're putting in your pocket or is that money you still need to pay tax on?
Man I’m glad I never wasted my time driving for Hirschbach. I almost pulled the trigger and went to their orientation. I’m local now and I take home $1,400 every week after taxes and I don’t work weekends.
Good video 👍 thx! You have a business? 1350 a w e e k ?? 🤔 Your are independent contractor with Hersh..? I thought they were all lease purchase type with (used to be)? 0.99 per gallon fuel They have company drivers?
Wild beard is the modern day field recruiter like loshawn was for prime and lilguy was and others . It all comes down to mindset and business attitude.. you run that truck as if your life depends on it and it's your only option
And with price gouging like that there's the answer of why there are so many homeless people. I was making $517 a week after taxes and that was considered one of the highest paying factories in our area. But we couldn't have afforded you all's rent!
You will see at the end of the year when you file taxes no job is tax free lease or owner operator you still pay taxes be on the safe side put back 35 percent because Uncle Sam will get his
@@WildBeardTrucking thanks! That was a great video! Did you pay around the same amount for 2023? There was a meme about it lol.
LTL for the win. How many years of Seniority? Most guys aren't patient. 15 years for myself. If I lived close to the terminal I would bid a line haul run. Team is easier for me or a layover.
What hes not telling you is that he’s on the specialized fleet/ account cause a normal lease driver at hirschbach ur not going to make 2k a week after deductions
Not me. Team LTL is my choice. XPO,OD, Estes, R &L, Dayton, company drivers are all over 90 cents per mile split. 5000 miles is a slow week for us. 6500 at least 2 weeks a month. We go coast to coast. Atlanta to Sacramento turn is 5000. Then an Atlanta Dallas turn for another 826 each way. 1652+5000=6652 × $0.90 then divide by 2 That is a good week. We can do Atlanta to Sacramento in 48 hours in a governed truck. Slow week this week Atl - Dal to Sac, now heading to Denver. Delays in DT and Sac lost 8 hours.
Nice $, that's cool if you trust your co driver. I had really bad experiences with mine. He had several accidents within 3 months of being together. Team driving is not for me. Not unless it was my wife. But I could never get her to get her cdl. 😂😂😂
I'm working for this company now and it's a joke, communication with DM sucks, season drivers need stay away they will blow so much smoke up ur ass you have to believe them, 650 bucks out 2800 plus for week...is a freaking joke..but hey be like me watch these videos fall for same shit I did...lol. It sucks...320214 out
Hirschbach is ok but forced dispatch isn't worth it.. 2800 a week only running 8 hours a day is way better push push push and forced dispatch at hb and the nonsense safety policies they have now. They have the highest turnover rates now and abandoned vehicle rate now
Yall wish my little guy a happy late birthday.
