I began playing Harp the day after Christmas (26th December) and I understand how skilled this guy is. When the Harp is played well it has a feeling words can't express as you feel it more than hear it.
People like Mississippi Fred McDowell, Son House, Charley Patton etc go beyond words and this guy has it also.

@talbot300889: Yes, it's a Bb harp. I've revised the "more info" extended description to include links to a video and tab for the first song, "Buford Chapel Breakdown," which I ended up putting on my first album. It got a lot of airplay on "Bluesville" XM/Sirius satellite radio.

It was 94 degrees and anybody watching me would have been standing in the sun. I'd only been playing the percussion--i.e., as a one-man band--for two months at that point. Under the cirumstances, I had absolutely no complaints!

I found my way to your website, Blues Harmonica, went through the lists, listened to the 20s and 30s and liked Alfred Lewis, Lee Brown, Jaybird Coleman, and Robert Hill. I hear what you're saying, but you and I hear things differently. I kept the beat going because I wanted to hip listeners to a continuity they might not have otherwise have sensed between the two songs. The foot drum is that link.

Hey Adam man, would love to see you do a whole series on advice etc for street musicians. You could tell us about equipment you've had over the use, and the practical side and any other stories you have. I'm a very new wannabe street musician atm
