You put on your headphones on, listening to this and just .. you re think your life, you wonder what life would be like if maybe, just maybe, things were different. Maybe you could feel happiness, but you just cant feel it. Even with every limb in your body and soul you cant find any ounce of happiness inside you. And you realize your gonna grow up. Your brain tells you it's your house, but your heart says it's not. You ignore it and move on. Inside the house sits your faithful dog, still waiting for you to return home after all these years. ...Did you have a dog? You can't remember. That wall of paintings, with a not-so-secret entrance behind one of them. You at least remember that, don't you..? The disorganized chests, piled high on top of one another. That set of armor, hanging on an old, rickety armor stand, that you crafted all that time ago. And the name you gave your bow. What was it again..? You try to remember. It's so difficult... You grasp the wispy threads of thought as if they were a lifeline, your one ticket to salvation. You can't lose these memories, they're too important. You frantically gather all of the information you still remember, repeating it to yourself in some sort of panicked mantra. But... Maybe it's not so bad to let go. Those times are over. They're not coming back. The good old days. Perhaps... It's time to move on.

here lies your first world made in 20XX, strangely close to a well-known game from 201X... Twas a small house, nothing really too fancy. It was scrabbled together with basic materials gathered that same very day, plenty of wood and stone used... For a small little home, it has survived raids, various storms, a few creeper explosions/zombie break-ins here and there. Especially a bit of grief from trolls. Yet…something seems….off? I wonder what seems different... Perhaps…maybe the wood is fading? The bark is peeled on some of the logs... Hmm…it could be.. the stones? Maybe it’s the mossy cobblestones on top? With those vines dangling from all of the plant life that's moved in oh…the lights? there still on..? Well, yeah... the torches…don’t seem to burn out. Despite it being actually *years* since you’ve opened this file. Hell it’s been *years* since you’ve booted up any games, thanks to work and other stuff you’ve been busy with. You dust off your gaming device and continue to the main menu. (Menu clicks) Ah yes, that iconic menu screen, with the wonderful piano music playing one of the many Minecraft themes in the background. Wow, a great amount of time has indeed passed since you’ve been here on this file select option… Let’s see, with a few clicks, you find your file. A world you made waaaaay back in the day. You glance at the year it was last modified. Good Grief.. Is it that long? This save file seems ancient! you feel old thinking about the good ol’ times when you were younger. Less stress and more free time back then. Back when you were young and imagination was endless. anyways! You load the file [Click] The file boots up, the loading starts off slow, and then 100% itself fairly quick. The world generates where you last left off. The chunks load nearly instantly, you watch as the world itself appears, a familiar world a very much recognizable land. In front of you the house is present. Roughly 25 blocks from your spawn point. Trees and Grass have grown very much here. As if the plants haven't gotten significantly taller and the flowers have sprouted tremendously. You hear the sound of chickens and cows somewhere near. It seems the farm may still be intact. Maybe the village close by is still booming with life, too. You approach the house, the cobblestone sidewalk stretching outwards, guiding you to your home. The stone itself cracked and moss coated, this place really stayed intact by your quality crafting skills. You make it to the door. It’s battered and worn. Plenty of zombies have broken this door down. It'd barely hanging by the hinges. You notice heavy amounts of dust, cobwebs, and worn blocks on the front. It’s a good thing you didn’t build it out of dirt. Otherwise, your house would have blended in with the natural surroundings with the rest of the overgrown grasses, making it hard to find. Without a moment of hesitation, you left click the door. The vines breaking as you pop the wood door open with ease. yes…let’s look past the grown plants and vines. Seems everything is still here. Your setup, one crafting table with 3 ovens stacked, your anvil is there as well. The chest is still on the wall. Your first wood sword is still hung on the wall in a frame. You hear growling and snarling. You don't have any tools or weapons on you. In the darkness, a pair of eyes stare you down. The growling stops, a whine is heard, and a very much confused wolf sprints towards you. You are too slow to react. The wolf pounces on you happily, barking and licking your face. Ah yes! Mr.Snuffles your pet…despite all of the time. All of this wear and tear on the house. Your dog stood guard of this place. Thank god they recognized you. You toss the floofy bastard a long-awaited pork chop. Rubbing their face and booping their snoot. And take a stroll around the house. Don’t forget there were other buildings also made. You spot your friends house. Their wonderful small boxy style wood cube of a home. You walk by it. The memories flow, you and your friends would have quite the adventures in this world, especially in *hardcore. Those nights were brutal. You walk to the back of your house. Looking at the back section at the windows. You take a deep breath and picture yourself back in the day… Let’s take it back…when it was your first time here… Try and remember with me, breath for a moment. Picture yourself when you were smaller... You just came back from school and are eager to hope back on the game. Do you remember? hey, I just wanna share this short story with you in 2010 i discovered minecraft and did nothing but playing it, I loved creating things so much, I remember saying "I wish I can make a living from doing what I love" , now im 24, doing exactly that, as a Dancer, music producer and DJ im booked almost every weekend and have the time of my life, touring the cities and now countries, after every gig when im back at the hotel I listen to this song at least once, since it reminds me of how far I've come, and how far I can go. you may stray from the path multiple times but dont worry about that, finding the way back is the moment where you prove yourself how bad you want that dream. hope this kinda motivated you to keep doing what you wanna do :)

this really sent back so many memories to my head and i started crying listening to this and havent stopped crying for 30mins now lol - thank you for the amazing childhood memories that Mojang, C418, Microsoft, Xbox, and Minecraft all gave to me though out the years of my amazing childhood. I will never forget you all. Ever. But now i must move on with life. I am almost a fully grown man now. I must move on.
i close my eyes, and just for a moment im a carefree kid once again, sitting on our couch with my dad and sister, having just been logged on to our world, wandering around our base and feeding my dosens of pet dogs. It’s dark out and we’ve been playing for hours, but it feels like only a few minutes. For a moment everything’s fine again and i can relax

Many things in life hit hard mentally, don't get me wrong. But finally losing that last bit of childhood innocence and growing up, has to be one of the most difficult obstacles there is.

Sometimes i think about my past,the days i been peaceful,i dont haved problems and i dont cared. I loved to play outside on street with friends and when we been very tired we come to my house and play some friv games and yeah the iconic minecraft.I loved go to school,my grandpa been going everyday with me and he learned me so many thing because he been a school director in his past i loved him,until...he died.I been neutral because i been 9,i doesnt know whats happening.I continued to live my life normally until i realized somr things. I miss so much 2014,2015,2016 and 2017,i want to go back,but i had to focus on my future and my life rn.And to be honest the year 2020 doesn't been that bad at all,2021 and 2022 keeps killing me emotionally.But yeah no one asked and no one care,i just have to tell you keep going and dont worry everything will be okay,dont try to do bad things to yourself,stand up and tell world you are the one who will prove that its not just the garbage on this planet.
we all were kids in that time growing up to become an adult is hard, i had the first mental problems when i was 13. I graduaded the dutch Middelbare school, after that mbo but i stopped and switched to a different education. I shouldnt have made that mistake. also untreated mental illness for me. the past week was the most weird and intense if my life. Now that i have the right meds and im doing things to make me feel better like walking my dog. I hope the whole minecraft community is allright
I feel so bad for you, I REALLY cried because this is so freaking mutual to me. I'm tired of college, tired of adult life. My life got to the saddest point of it right now. And it's heartbreaking for me to see people in mutual situations like mine. Stay strong bro❤
It just remined you of how long the journey of Minecraft and its comunity has gone all of the Herobrine videos, all of the song parodies, all the amazing build design... you know that eventually all of these are gonna fade into nothing more than a memory of a great game and a great community

as the “cold” person i am, i should not be shattering. but this, this is what really makes somebody sad and nostalgic. even tho i didn’t have the best childhood, i still ended up having minecraft. i was really happy when i got it, especially because i’ve watched many youtubers play it, and build wonderful bases to live. it’s still have it on my old computer since 2013. a decade ago, soon to be 11 years ago. some things never change. my younger self would’ve never expected this long to pass and this to still be my favorite game. in these 10 years, i’ve mastered the piano. i can play it. obviously, i promised my younger self to play it no matter what. the world ends, i still have to play this song even in my last minutes on this planet. even when i will get old, i will still have to play it. nobody asked, of course, but it was just some facts about me randomly spoken. this shows proof of how things may never change, and promises being fulfilled. have a lovely day. -ace (a girl)

This autoplayed in the background finishing my French homework, at first I thought it was just rain, then I here the sweet, sweet sound of me and my little brother playing minecraft on my ps4 in 2020. I know it feels weird someone putting this song to 2020 but that was when we first started playing a lot and when we heard this song come on, we felt something, it was before we knew about the significance, but we felt something, like the feeling of home. When was a Spring holidays on first day was raining (normal for me) and I had this song downloaded to the my music playlist of the nostalgia music and it was a perfect loop to the raining and in my head was a memory when I was a 7 years old I was scared of a massive raining but when was the raining like in this music it was for me beautiful to see the water falling of the sky and sometimes seeing a rainbow and it was amazing, hope these things never disappear

My first world. I were wondering how to walk. I was using arrows. Didn’t work. Something wasn’t right. How to walk? *left click* Oh- I punched a tree. I broke it. It was first block I mined. Wood. Version 1.5 I crafted planks. My first crafting. Then, I crafted button. I created new world Creative. I spawned a pig. Ride it but I was stopping it by placing beacons. I didn’t know I need carrot on stick. I burned the village, with a lava of course. I was 3/4. It’s been 9/8 years. Now I’m a minecraft builder, modder and pvp player. I wish I could recover this world from my mom’s pc. *But it’s gone…*

I remember going to my friend’s house. We were both terrified of Herobrine, spending countless hours watching “Herobrine Spottings” on RUclips. I even remember he returned the OG Lego Mineshaft set because he was so scared. We didn’t know about multiplayer. We would take turns, playing build battle on a flat world. Then we would argue about who had won, never reaching a consensus. A couple years back I bought Minecraft on my xbox one, thinking it’d be the same console edition. I was greeted by the PE interface. What has happened to the 4J logo? Where was the tutorial worlds? Why couldn’t I find the Adventure Time map? I find solitude in my past with Minecraft. Whether it be the video of CaptainSparklez playing a map that had a village and the end of the world, DanTDM reviewing mods, local Turkish influencers playing the game before they all drifted to clickbait reaction videos, Minecraft is my childhood. I played the game nonstop for 5 years from 2012 to 2017, I revisited it on the xbox one, and me and my friends still play it occasionally on Java. We have this huge world with a villager farm and storage rooms, we all have maxed out armor and we still have fun. Yet never have I felt the joy I once did with Console Edition. Thank you Mojang, thank you 4J and thank you to my childhood bestfriend for making the best five years of my life. Nowadays, C418’s soundtrack is where I find comfort. Thank you C418, thank you for crafting the best soundtrack ever. Peace
Every time I listen to these songs I always remember a friend I knew, even though we were from different countries, we played Minecraft every day, literally all of us played it since the Xbox 360, but unfortunately all future memories with it went down the drain as life wasn't kind to it. Now all I have are good memories like many others who has good memories with his old and eternal friends.

Crazy my friend is a senior and this is the last week of school, Thursday he graduates and Friday he gets his diploma I remember meeting him for the first time this school year back in October-November all the fun times and talks I’ve had with him and funny moments we shared and Thursday is my last day with him in my class man I’m sad because who knew a friendship we made this school year would impact me so much it’s mostly the fact that I won’t see him again at school anymore and that he’s gonna do his own thing and move into adulthood but that’s life soon it’ll be me. Next year it’s going to be my friends since 3rd and 4th grade graduating man I mean it time really flies I remember meeting them back in elementary and now they’re graduating next year
I played on pocket edition, I had this little world. I had fun, building a city with skyscrapers. I even added the avengers tower. I added a school, a bank, my house was made out of diamonds. I played with my friends sometimes, we’d build these big statues of our skins. There’s not one thing I wouldn’t do to get to see that world just one more time. I miss loading up and see a big brick skyscraper with those green windows.

The growling stops, a whine is heard, and a very much confused wolf sprints towards you. You are too slow to react. The wolf pounces on you happily, barking and licking your face. Ah yes! Mr.Snuffles your pet…despite all of the time. All of this wear and tear on the house. Your dog stood guard of this place. Thank god they recognized you.
You toss the floofy bastard a long-awaited pork chop. Rubbing their face and booping their snoot. And take a stroll around the house.
Don’t forget there were other buildings also made. You spot your friends house. Their wonderful small boxy style wood cube of a home. You walk by it. The memories flow, you and your friends would have quite the adventures in this world, especially in *hardcore. Those nights were brutal.

hey, I just wanna share this short story with you
in 2010 i discovered minecraft and did nothing but playing it, I loved creating things so much, I remember saying
"I wish I can make a living from doing what I love" , now im 24, doing exactly that, as a Dancer, music producer and DJ im booked almost every weekend and have the time of my life, touring the cities and now countries, after every gig when im back at the hotel I listen to this song at least once, since it reminds me of how far I've come, and how far I can go.
you may stray from the path multiple times but dont worry about that, finding the way back is the moment where you prove yourself how bad you want that dream.

i close my eyes, and just for a moment im a carefree kid once again, sitting on our couch with my dad and sister, having just been logged on to our world, wandering around our base and feeding my dosens of pet dogs. I loved to play outside on street with friends and when we been very tired we come to my house and play some friv games and yeah the iconic minecraft.I loved go to school,my grandpa been going everyday with me and he learned me so many thing because he been a school director in his past i loved him,until...he died.I been neutral because i been 9,i doesnt know whats happening.I continued to live my life normally until i realized somr things. I miss so much 2014,2015,2016 and 2017,i want to go back,but i had to focus on my future and my life rn.And to be honest the year 2020 doesn't been that bad at all,2021 and 2022 keeps killing me emotionally.But yeah no one asked and no one care,i just have to tell you keep going and dont worry everything will be okay,dont try to do bad things to yourself,stand up and tell world you are the one who will prove that its not just the garbage on this planet.

I graduaded the dutch Middelbare school, after that mbo but i stopped and switched to a different education. I shouldnt have made that mistake. also untreated mental illness for me. the past week was the most weird and intense if my life. Now that i have the right meds and im doing things to make me feel better like walking my dog. I hope the whole minecraft community is allright

as the “cold” person i am, i should not be shattering. but this, this is what really makes somebody sad and nostalgic. even tho i didn’t have the best childhood, i still ended up having minecraft. i was really happy when i got it, especially because i’ve watched many youtubers play it, and build wonderful bases to live. it’s still have it on my old computer since 2013. a decade ago, soon to be 11 years ago. some things never change. my younger self would’ve never expected this long to pass and this to still be my favorite game. in these 10 years, i’ve mastered the piano. i can play it. obviously, i promised my younger self to play it no matter what. the world ends, i still have to play this song even in my last minutes on this planet. even when i will get old, i will still have to play it. nobody asked, of course, but it was just some facts about me randomly spoken. this shows proof of how things may never change, and promises being fulfilled. have a lovely day.

This autoplayed in the background finishing my French homework, at first I thought it was just rain, then I here the sweet, sweet sound of me and my little brother playing minecraft on my ps4 in 2020. I remember going to my friend’s house. We were both terrified of Herobrine, spending countless hours watching “Herobrine Spottings” on RUclips. I even remember he returned the OG Lego Mineshaft set because he was so scared.
We didn’t know about multiplayer. We would take turns, playing build battle on a flat world. Then we would argue about who had won, never reaching a consensus.
A couple years back I bought Minecraft on my xbox one, thinking it’d be the same console edition. I was greeted by the PE interface. What has happened to the 4J logo? Where was the tutorial worlds? Why couldn’t I find the Adventure Time map?
I find solitude in my past with Minecraft. Whether it be the video of CaptainSparklez playing a map that had a village and the end of the world, DanTDM reviewing mods, local Turkish influencers playing the game before they all drifted to clickbait reaction videos, Minecraft is my childhood. I played the game nonstop for 5 years from 2012 to 2017, I revisited it on the xbox one, and me and my friends still play it occasionally on Java. We have this huge world with a villager farm and storage rooms, we all have maxed out armor and we still have fun. Yet never have I felt the joy I once did with Console Edition.
Thank you Mojang, thank you 4J and thank you to my childhood bestfriend for making the best five years of my life.

Crazy my friend is a senior and this is the last week of school, Thursday he graduates and Friday he gets his diploma I remember meeting him for the first time this school year back in October-November all the fun times and talks I’ve had with him and funny moments we shared and Thursday is my last day with him in my class man I’m sad because who knew a friendship we made this school year would impact me so much it’s mostly the fact that I won’t see him again at school anymore and that he’s gonna do his own thing and move into adulthood but that’s life soon it’ll be me. Next year it’s going to be my friends since 3rd and 4th grade graduating man I mean it time really flies I remember meeting them back in elementary and now they’re graduating next year

I played on pocket edition, I had this little world. I had fun, building a city with skyscrapers. I even added the avengers tower. I added a school, a bank, my house was made out of diamonds. I played with my friends sometimes, we’d build these big statues of our skins. There’s not one thing I wouldn’t do to get to see that world just one more time. I miss loading up and see a big brick skyscraper with those green windows.
