I hate how people truly believe that their old memories of this game are gone, just like that. People focus on the friends they had rather than the friends they could make. They focus on the old things they created rather than thinking about everything they COULD create. Your old memories of this game aren't gone, you CAN create beautiful new memories that will impact you just as much as your old ones do. What's the point in stopping doing something that makes you happy just because memories you made 10 years ago were 10 years ago? I'm not saying to forget those happy memories, but I would encourage you to not let them prevent you from creating new ones. And not just in Minecraft either...

I never really appreciated how talented C418 is at making music when I started playing, but now, even if I had never played minecraft. I would still say that he is one of the greatest composers to have ever done it.

Minecraft has watched me grow up, from playing with my friends, to fighting with my sisters over diamonds, to building my little house on the seaside. This game will always be something special. I was I think 11 when I asked my mom to buy minecraft in 2010. I remember the version it was minecraft 1.3 and I only started playing bc of 'blueexephos' or something like that had some crazy story going on. Was the best buy ever
I remember begging my grandad since he managed my device, he said yes quite quickly as he is kind. Within minutes I messed with settings so I couldn’t attack mobs and almost died to a spider and zombie villages. I remember forcing my dad to make me a dirt house, he did not put a roof and I did not have a door, when I realised mobs would get in, I broke the floor 5 blocks down apart from the furthest corner from the door, thinking that would be safe. That was the last part of my first world that I saw. I remember exactly it was on a mountain where about halfway up there was a small flat area then it continued down into a lake, I would do a lot to explore that world and feel how excited I felt back then playing it for the first time.
I wish my parents had done this for me. I was 14 before I finally got the game. Several years later, and it’s still my favorite game of all time, and I play regularly in my first ever world. My only regret is that I didn’t document those early days better.

When I was 7 I played Minecraft for the first time with my best friend. We built our house and found a pet. Many years later we found the ps3 that we used to play on and logged on to Minecraft. The house that we built was still there and the dog was sitting on the floor. That night I wasn’t able too sleep because I knew that my childhood was over and that was just a memory. This song always makes me cry. In the last year the only times I’ve been happy is when I remember all of those memories

The PS3 was all my nostalgia... I played it until 2022 (and then it broke otherwise I was gonna continue), I don't miss many games... Only Driver San Francisco and Minecraft... When you got a World with MINECRAFT wrote and some helps... Those houses, and everything... I grew up with Minecraft in my blood and it still here... I miss those old days but I can't play Minecraft anymore because it doesnt give me the fun I had before...

Make someone's day a little better. Compliment them, do something small that makes life just a little easier, donate or volunteer if you wish. Be the beauty you saw in childhood. Don't be annoyed by the energy of children like many adults are, embrace it. That's life. That's vitality. Perhaps one day you'll even get to guide one through their childhood, and give them the opportunity to make the kinds of memories you cherish so much. And do something nice for your parents, who helped you have those memories. It would mean the world to them, believe me.

I wish i was five years old, playing minecraft with my dad and older brother. We would fight creepers and go mining and build fun gardens of flowers. I would always find orchids just for my dad. I enjoyed old Minecraft. I remember getting it sometime in 2013, I remember sitting down and playing it for the first time whilst my father was preparing dinner; I cried, not out of joy, but because he was chopping onions. I remember spending hours playing it, building, trading, mining; Everything. The music especially, holds a very special place within me. Years of playing alone, never having the ability to play with others and only having the music to keep me company. Minecraft was a part of my life, and that part of my life has ended, the current Minecraft doesn't hold the same nostalgic value, the feeling of sadness, lonliness yet happiness throbbing in the back of my mind. I miss the simplicity of being younger, no worries for exams, money, work, a future. This is probably just me, but Minecraft's music makes me feel almost sad, depressed even, that'll I'll forget, forget the fun I had, forget the buildings I made, the wolves I tamed, and the trees I cut down. I came across Minecraft back when I was six. I was at my cousin's place, we played Minecraft on his Xbox. I became obsessed with the game, got it for my phone first. Then my PC that my dad bought for cheap from an office renovation sale. It's been eleven years now. I played that game for hours on end. I played it with friends, I played it while alone -- lonely. It's engraved in my personality to this day. Last Saturday was the memorial service of my cousin's dad, the one who told me I should try it. Life is simple, or rather was.

Nostalgia seems to hit very differently for some people. I'm one of those who can spend entire evenings just daydreaming myself back to the good old days. Undoubtedly romanticizing it. But still feeling a very deep longing. Looking at old youtube videos I used to watch, old games, old livestream vods, listening to music from that era. And whenever I try to convey this feeling to my friends it's like they don't understand it at all. Sometimes I'm not sure if I'm blessed or cursed.

Even after all the years of pain and misery and regret and stress and so much more. The little blocky game still seems to give that serenity, that freedom, that calm feeling we all used to get. That feeling where we can just unwind, take a break from the real world, embark on great adventures across the blocky world. Even after what is soon to be 13 years (if I'm not mistaken) the game from mojang still manages to give us peace. And that is amazing if you ask me.

The beginning reminds me of old memories and stuff, but towards the end it makes me think of a future being created. It makes me think of the challenge and thrill of moving on and starting a new journey. This sends chills down my spine~
when i was little i would play minecraft everyday, unlike most of the people here i had no one to play with. other than my brother teaching me some red stone tricks.. but i mainly pretended to play minecraft with my friends, and yes when i say “pretended” i really mean it, i’d do their voices and acted as if they were in the game with me. i never really had anyone to play with when i was little and minecraft was like an escape, my imagination was absolutely amazing. i can’t explain how much i miss it. even though it was lonely at times, i couldn’t have been happier when playing it. from before kindergarten all the way to sophomore year in highschool, minecraft has been by my side forever.
my wife and i used to play this together. we made a house that had a dungeon for a chicken in the basement- our dungeon chicken. we couldn't afford gaming pcs so we just played minecraft for years on barely working laptops. we grew apart and split up now, she's moved on and although i am happy for her, i would give anything for one more night building that house together.

I used to play mincraft al the time when I was younger and I never got the full game so I had to play the demo on my shitty old laptop and it was the same world every time and Evan if it was that I was still having fun 😢 I miss being a kid
Story time, my first time playing Minecraft. I was about 6, living with an aunt's friend at the time. Two kids about my age woke me up and asked if I wanted to play a new game they got for one of the kid's birthday, it was Minecraft of course. We made a world and we we're playing on the three player split screen. It took us 15 minutes to find the inventory and crafting menus, which we didn't know existed. I was the first to harvest log from a tree, I messed around and made a crafting table. We had no clue how to use the crafting table but the step dad of the kids gave us a hint, and not long after we all had wooden pickaxes and swords. I started digging and found stone, I didn't know what it was but I tried crafting with it, and it worked! I felt like I solved world hunger and cured cancer in a single press of a button, I'll never feel that accomplished again, maybe not till I have my own kids and stuff.
This song has a special place in my heart,i remember my grandfather buying me minecraft,he bought me every game i wanted and supported me everytime something bad happened,sadly my grandpa died from a really rare disease 6 months ago,i miss him so much. When I was 7 I played Minecraft for the first time with my best friend. We built our house and found a pet. Many years later we found the ps3 that we used to play on and logged on to Minecraft. The house that we built was still there and the dog was sitting on the floor. That night I wasn’t able too sleep because I knew that my childhood was over and that was just a memory. This song always makes me cry. In the last year the only times I’ve been happy is when I remember all of those memories
Man I hope you find that happiness that you once had during all those memories. I hope that even though we all are leaving it behind we can grow and continue to find joy in our lives and strive to find that inner child throughout life man. It’s healthy and I truly hope you can be happy again, for a minute or forever.
The PS3 was all my nostalgia... I played it until 2022 (and then it broke otherwise I was gonna continue), I don't miss many games... Only Driver San Francisco and Minecraft... When you got a World with MINECRAFT wrote and some helps... Those houses, and everything... I grew up with Minecraft in my blood and it still here... I miss those old days but I can't play Minecraft anymore because it doesnt give me the fun I had before...

I remember always playing battle arena minigame, and building a lot of mini games my self, i have my ps3 fixed but no one plays Minecraft on the ps3 these days, all of my friends have been inactive since 2021.

I wish i was five years old, playing minecraft with my dad and older brother. We would fight creepers and go mining and build fun gardens of flowers. I would always find orchids just for my dad. I remember being a kid and not thinking much of it, but now I realize that i'll never be a kid again. I'll never experience that again.

@@Willwam838 Agreed. I used to build so many things. But, after all of these years, I’ve basically built everything that I could’ve thought of. I’ve made countless different styles of houses, bunkers, air fields, spaceships, boats, etc.
i only play a few times every major update, i play with music off most of the time, i feel bad for some reason, i occasionally listen to minecraft music on spotify because its so nostalgic even tho it wasnt much of my childhood

I enjoyed old Minecraft. I remember getting it sometime in 2013, I remember sitting down and playing it for the first time whilst my father was preparing dinner; I cried, not out of joy, but because he was chopping onions. I remember spending hours playing it, building, trading, mining; Everything.
The music especially, holds a very special place within me. Years of playing alone, never having the ability to play with others and only having the music to keep me company.
Minecraft was a part of my life, and that part of my life has ended, the current Minecraft doesn't hold the same nostalgic value, the feeling of sadness, lonliness yet happiness throbbing in the back of my mind. I miss the simplicity of being younger, no worries for exams, money, work, a future.
This is probably just me, but Minecraft's music makes me feel almost sad, depressed even, that'll I'll forget, forget the fun I had, forget the buildings I made, the wolves I tamed, and the trees I cut down. Or even a sadness that I'll be forgotten, my existance only a number of a generation of a period of time.

I came across Minecraft back when I was six. I was at my cousin's place, we played Minecraft on his Xbox. I became obsessed with the game, got it for my phone first. Then my PC that my dad bought for cheap from an office renovation sale.
It's been eleven years now. I played that game for hours on end. I played it with friends, I played it while alone -- lonely. It's engraved in my personality to this day. Last Saturday was the memorial service of my cousin's dad, the one who told me I should try it.
Life is simple, or rather was.
These songs and memories of the game also connect us back to our joyful childhood days and thus further shoves the nostalgia into our hearts. Thank you, to everyone wherever for everything you’ve done for each other.

Nostalgia seems to hit very differently for some people. I'm one of those who can spend entire evenings just daydreaming myself back to the good old days. Undoubtedly romanticizing it. But still feeling a very deep longing. Looking at old youtube videos I used to watch, old games, old livestream vods, listening to music from that era. And whenever I try to convey this feeling to my friends it's like they don't understand it at all. Sometimes I'm not sure if I'm blessed or cursed.

I was so addicted to that game that I saw it behind my eyelids when I closed my eyes to go to sleep at night. I miss old Minecraft so much. I miss my childhood so much. Minecraft was a staple of my childhood. All of these original soundtrack songs take me back. I mourn my childhood now when I try and play Minecraft on my pc. It’s not the same. It will never be the same.
We are all grown up now. We look back at all the fun times we had as the children we were. Screaming and yelling when we found diamonds, spending hour redstone contraptions, building houses off youtube tutorials, all of thats gone now but we were still there to enjoy that. If we werent there we wouldnt have been the same. Thank you minecraft for the past 13 years of my life.

I’ve made so many memories from this game- helping my friend get his first diamond pickaxe, building a giant mansion, and just… living. Even after all the years of pain and misery and regret and stress and so much more. The little blocky game still seems to give that serenity, that freedom, that calm feeling we all used to get. That feeling where we can just unwind, take a break from the real world, embark on great adventures across the blocky world. Even after what is soon to be 13 years (if I'm not mistaken) the game from mojang still manages to give us peace. And that is amazing if you ask me.

I remember playing for the first time, I was alone for a while, then I had a realm with friends. Most of us hate each other now. So I play on an almost dead server I joined in 2020, my friends who I kept in touch with moved on and I’m on my own again.

The beginning reminds me of old memories and stuff, but towards the end it makes me think of a future being created. It makes me think of the challenge and thrill of moving on and starting a new journey. This sends chills down my spine~
when i was little i would play minecraft everyday, unlike most of the people here i had no one to play with. other than my brother teaching me some red stone tricks.. but i mainly pretended to play minecraft with my friends, and yes when i say “pretended” i really mean it, i’d do their voices and acted as if they were in the game with me. i never really had anyone to play with when i was little and minecraft was like an escape, my imagination was absolutely amazing. i can’t explain how much i miss it. even though it was lonely at times, i couldn’t have been happier when playing it. from before kindergarten all the way to sophomore year in highschool, minecraft has been by my side forever.

my wife and i used to play this together. we made a house that had a dungeon for a chicken in the basement- our dungeon chicken. we couldn't afford gaming pcs so we just played minecraft for years on barely working laptops.
we grew apart and split up now, she's moved on and although i am happy for her, i would give anything for one more night building that house together.

Story time, my first time playing Minecraft.
I was about 6, living with an aunt's friend at the time. Two kids about my age woke me up and asked if I wanted to play a new game they got for one of the kid's birthday, it was Minecraft of course.
We made a world and we we're playing on the three player split screen. It took us 15 minutes to find the inventory and crafting menus, which we didn't know existed. I was the first to harvest log from a tree, I messed around and made a crafting table. We had no clue how to use the crafting table but the step dad of the kids gave us a hint, and not long after we all had wooden pickaxes and swords.
I started digging and found stone, I didn't know what it was but I tried crafting with it, and it worked! I felt like I solved world hunger and cured cancer in a single press of a button,
I'll never feel that accomplished again, maybe not till I have my own kids and stuff.

reading all these comments js making me think about how long ago it was when my dad made me and my siblings a minecraft world and we lived inside a cave and i was too scared to leave it without it being on peaceful. minecraft really was a huge part of so many ppls childhoods.
