I don't want the 2010s to end. My childhood, the time I learned to laugh at the new and cry at the old. The 2010s were the era of Minecraft, and without it, some of us would be completely different people. SkydoesMinecraft would have never done Minecraft. Stampy wouldn't have his Love Garden to add to everyday. DanTDM would have never done Diamond Dimensions. Popularmmos would have never done The Crafting Dead series. These people would be in diffrent places now if it weren't for Minecraft. It started RUclips careers. Without Minecraft, most of these popular RUclipsrs wouldn't be, well, popular. And Minecraft is still doing it. New generations of RUclipsrs have played Minecraft and got popular. Minecraft may make another return, perhaps. But for now, check on your dogs often because you never know when you will forget to log on for the last time. It's crazy to think that such a game would sweep the world and start childhoods, but here we are, crying over a series of piano notes, because we care.

I was traumatised that i cant be able to play on that world so I had to take it into my own hands to relive the past as i didn't want to lose it. So one advice i have for you buddy, don't let some stupid world corruption erase some of your memories.

They’re sad because most people see nostalgia as a sad emotional thing. Especially when people that were in their teen years when Minecraft was at its peak are in the 20s now with jobs, some even married with kids. As much as they agree that these are good memories, thats what generates the sadness. When they compare their busy lives now, it makes their childhood seem like much more of a utopia than is probably seemed like at the time, thus why you often hear the quote “We didn’t know we were making memories we just knew we were having fun”. To many people this is a major element of what made up their childhood so it’s understandable why they feel this way.

I’ll never forget the time when me and my sister and cousins wanted to build a sky world in Minecraft PE. I was 8 years old. I’m 15 now. We spent 6 hours straight building the world on our iPod touches. They are all older and in college now. The other day I found my iPod touch and found Minecraft on it. I logged on and found the world that I made with my family all those years ago. I shed some tears and then called them all up to tell them what I had found. It was a happy moment but also a sad one that I won’t forget. Thank you Minecraft and my childhood for everything.
My cousin, sister and I used to spend hours upon hours playing minecraft pe. It brought us so much joy. We tried playing together on our computers a few weeks ago but it just wasn’t the same. I don’t know why.
This brings back so many good memories. I had a friend, KeKeTheDomo. He's Japanese and came to America for 5 years, 3rd-7th grade. It took me a while to get to know him, it wasnt until 5th grade really. He was my best friend for the 3 years I knew him here and we played Minecraft together all the time, I even bought the ps3 version so we could play local co-op. He eventually had to move back to Japan and playing together became difficult. I'd stay up till 2 am just to see if he could get on. Due to the intensity of japanese schooling it became less and less frequent. Since then I've lost my Skype account which was my only way to communicate with him. Years later and still, every time I launch Minecraft he's the first thing I think of. Just launched Mineplex again to check "Last seen 998.1 days ago". Theres one world he'll never leave... Edit: I got my Skype back and hit him up, now we wait Edit: Still waiting. Most likely he womt see it, and if he does it probably wont be for a while. Honestly, this one always gets to me more than Sweden. Just the memories of hiding in my dirt hut on the first night, watching the sun set through my door with my wooden tools.. then the second half of the song hits just as you’re coming out and getting more wood, maybe collecting a couple flowers to put outside... good times :(
I agree with most of it.. but you had wooden tools? I had no idea how to craft till my cousin showed me two weeks later, and then proceeded to kill me in the hardcore world he showed it to me.
It just makes me want to cry, sometimes I really have a close connection to a pet in Minecraft, and losing it would devastate me. One time I had a dog in my world named bubba, which is what I called my grandpa who passed in 2009. My only reason to keep playing on that world isn’t to keep adding on to it, but to keep bubba company and keep him safe.

I don't want the 2010s to end. My childhood, the time I learned to laugh at the new and cry at the old. The 2010s were the era of Minecraft, and without it, some of us would be completely different people. SkydoesMinecraft would have never done Minecraft. Stampy wouldn't have his Love Garden to add to everyday. DanTDM would have never done Diamond Dimensions. Popularmmos would have never done The Crafting Dead series. These people would be in diffrent places now if it weren't for Minecraft. It started RUclips careers. Without Minecraft, most of these popular RUclipsrs wouldn't be, well, popular. And Minecraft is still doing it. New generations of RUclipsrs have played Minecraft and got popular. Minecraft may make another return, perhaps. But for now, check on your dogs often because you never know when you will forget to log on for the last time. It's crazy to think that such a game would sweep the world and start childhoods, but here we are, crying over a series of piano notes, because we care.

@@matty_daddy That happened to me too on my Xbox 360 world that i played for 5 years. But, I managed to rebuild my whole base 1 to 1. I was traumatised that i cant be able to play on that world so I had to take it into my own hands to relive the past as i didn't want to lose it. So one advice i have for you buddy, don't let some stupid world corruption erase some of your memories.
You will never forget that feeling of mining your first diamonds. Surviving your first night. Blowing up from a creeper. Taming your first dog... And making your first freinds. Minecraft is not just a game. It's a part of you. And it always will be.

N O B O D Y be realistic, they’re obviously not 13 saying stuff about “10 years later this and that…” they were 3 years old a decade ago.
They’re sad because most people see nostalgia as a sad emotional thing. Especially when people that were in their teen years when Minecraft was at its peak are in the 20s now with jobs, some even married with kids. As much as they agree that these are good memories, thats what generates the sadness. When they compare their busy lives now, it makes their childhood seem like much more of a utopia than is probably seemed like at the time, thus why you often hear the quote “We didn’t know we were making memories we just knew we were having fun”. To many people this is a major element of what made up their childhood so it’s understandable why they feel this way.

A couple days ago I went on to one of my oold worlds with my brother and remembered all the good times, we sailed out to look for a village to get stuff from the villagers and found the island that had the stronghold underneath, we went down the stairs and looked around, so many memories. We then built a new house and thought "have fun while you can" I will never leave minecraft. Those times aren't over, we still play in 1.12, before all the updates and when time was simpler. I’ll never forget the time when me and my sister and cousins wanted to build a sky world in Minecraft PE. I was 8 years old. I’m 15 now. We spent 6 hours straight building the world on our iPod touches. They are all older and in college now. The other day I found my iPod touch and found Minecraft on it. I logged on and found the world that I made with my family all those years ago. I shed some tears and then called them all up to tell them what I had found. It was a happy moment but also a sad one that I won’t forget. Thank you Minecraft and my childhood for everything.
My cousin, sister and I used to spend hours upon hours playing minecraft pe. It brought us so much joy. We tried playing together on our computers a few weeks ago but it just wasn’t the same. I don’t know why.

I had a friend, KeKeTheDomo. He's Japanese and came to America for 5 years, 3rd-7th grade. It took me a while to get to know him, it wasnt until 5th grade really. He was my best friend for the 3 years I knew him here and we played Minecraft together all the time, I even bought the ps3 version so we could play local co-op. He eventually had to move back to Japan and playing together became difficult. I'd stay up till 2 am just to see if he could get on. Due to the intensity of japanese schooling it became less and less frequent. Since then I've lost my Skype account which was my only way to communicate with him. Years later and still, every time I launch Minecraft he's the first thing I think of. Just launched Mineplex again to check "Last seen 998.1 days ago".

It just makes me want to cry, sometimes I really have a close connection to a pet in Minecraft, and losing it would devastate me. One time I had a dog in my world named bubba, which is what I called my grandpa who passed in 2009. My only reason to keep playing on that world isn’t to keep adding on to it, but to keep bubba company and keep him safe.
