Hi! I attended the same college as did Paul. Once he sagely asked me if I would give him my Sonny Boy Williamson I album in exchange for Richie Havens' "Mixed Bag." Of course I complied. Paul was a delight and even at that early age, he could pick up an instrument and within 10 minutes play it very well. In the lunchroom, he improvised "The Smegma Blues." What a day. What a guy!
Paul has the nice big sound. I got to record a CD for him a few years back. It felt like Muddy was lookin`over us on that session. His rack harp playing sounds like it`s hand held. Pure brilliance!
This old road agent plays more good music with just a guitar and his harmonica than all you jive ass "wannabe's" put together. No clang banging drums and no too loud bass. Just sheer beauty. Nice work "Mr. O".
Key is Eb must have tightend the screw on the 64 to make the slide stick in C# thats a huge gadget he's got around his neck (Luke I am your father) jk i love paul
That's pretty cool. What's up with the harp? Is it attached to a mic or something? It's got delay and verb on it somehow... Where's the cord? Wireless? Music nerds like myself must know...
i suspect that mic rig is either wireless or the cable is running where you can't see it. delay.reverb probably a feature of one of those tube amps behind him. that aside, this is huge harp tone like the old guys got with chromatic. blows yer hair back- if you have much hair at all left!
