There's one missed side note , about the difference between Po and Tai Lung. One is driven by value in comparison , and has a constant lust for power. The other is driven by individual value , and his hunger fades when his goal is met. That is what Po meant when he said "I'm not hungry."
You: My favorite DreamWorks movies are Kung Fu Panda and Megaming! DreamWorks 2024: Oh reeeally? 😈 I'm so sorry to how hard they massacred you this year.
I'm actually looking forward and interested to seeing what you gotta say for the second movie. Looking back I find it sorta divisive where some say it's great, some say it's stupid, and others say it's peak DreamWorks. I personally think it's good. Also ever though of starting a discord server for you and your viewers?
@@demiliomason1565 lol no I haven't. But I'll do it in the future tho. I also want to have a second channel with gaming videos. Some dudes even asked about streaming. We'll have to see
Judging by the trailer of 4th movie it’s the same premise of the 3rd. the villain is using the ki/powers of former villain or hero’s, idk if I’m the only one thinking this way but it seems a bit lazy
To get the ambiance of the movie, production designer Raymond Zibach and art director Heng Tang spent several years researching Chinese art and Kung Fu movies. This effort, combined with the rest of the crew's extensive research and knowledge of Chinese culture, so impressed the Chinese that there were meetings by official government cultural bodies to discuss why their own country has not produced animated movies of such quality themselves.
Shifu is the best character. Even as an elderly master, he still had a lot to learn and he was willing to admit his mistakes. He learned and grew together with Po.
something i noticed about the first movie was that i couldnt bring myself to even think of any flaws it has. it's comedy, message, and drama are executed perfectly and it doesnt waste any time doing so. peak.
I'm glad your video reflects the point you made at the beggining with the runtime, there are the 5 hour ass reviews that just say the same shit over and over just for the last 5 minutes to try to end with some point that they didn't need to play every single scene and analyze it for, here we can see something where everything said matters, no unnesesary jokes to pad out the runtime or some useless rant that doesn't serve the purpose or randomaly start talking about some other shit nobody asked for, Very well made video
Great analysis! I too really love this film, it always manages to make me crack a smile and laugh. The fight scenes are honestly better than 90% of what the MCU and DCEU has. And the themes and message hit a lot harder as well.
Yeah, I should really watch this movie again. I was probably a one digit number year old when I first watched it too, but unlike you, I haven't watched it again yet.
you know what I noticed now I'm going to say this i hate English class but like watching this video. Is this is how English teachers feel like when they are analyzing why a certain book is great?
Genuinely, also one of the best hand-to-hand fighting centred action movies to this date. The fight scenes are levels above all the super hero stuff that's come out in the past decade. Sadly KFP 3 really missed when it came to the fight choreography and story in my opinion.
its in my top 5 greatest movies of all time thanks to your recommendation, so let me recommend Paddington to you, which is a similar movie that you'd look at and think "obviously, this is a joke, right?". cant wait to see your Shrek review also review Twilight
I hate fight scenes in movies, I find them to be boring as they tend to be drawn out and the end is the only part that actually matters, but Po vs Tai Lung may be my favorite fight of all time. It wasnt until watching it again as an adult that I realize that Po uses literally everything he's learned over the course of the movie against Tai Lung. The fight isnt just good guy vs bad guy, it's the culmination of Po's growth from a slob to the dragon warrior
I don't think anyone is surprised that the movie is about an hour and a half. I don't see the point you were making there since most dramatic or most average live action films being close to two hours, or between 2-3 hours has been normalized and ongoing for more than at least 25 years. Whereas for animated films have always on average been slightly over an hour to less than two hours. Kung fu panda's run time is normal and nothing special. I know you followed this point by saying how it "doesn't waste time" but wouldn't this video have had a better opening if you just didn't bring up the nonsense about runtimes and length of media? And instead just started with how the movie stands out by not wasting the viewers time followed by the examples of the scenes you illustrate thereafter. Just made the beginning feel irrelevant or unecesarry.
@@RSG200 you're good king. I wasn't that serious anyway since if you did do it similar to how I described then you'd shave off like maybe one minute of runtime; not that big of a change. KFP is not a good representation of Chinese culture, is more how America sees China.
I say that Chinatown is the inspiration.
This and iron giant are the two best animated movies ever made
