Jonny, I'm really glad to hear your shift in opinion on the bundles, they really are doing a pretty good job considering what they're working with and against. I think the bundles are going to be super useful and fun. I still wish we had a tool like the bundle to help consolidate non-stackable items, but was talking with a friend about how much the bundles will help our ender chest storage and used Etho's system as examples of where it would help a ton. I never need a full stack of saplings of a single type, but having a bundle or two full of sapling would be super nice. Same with flowers, crafting stations, and other similar detail/decoration things.
Anyway, I appreciate you guys and the discussions. Lots of good points and ideas in today's podcast! Thanks!

This is how I currently organize my shulkers in my ender chest. In my arbor chest I have a bundle with some of each sapling, a bundle with some of each flower, and stacks of wood and bone blocks. Similar for my redstone box.

Saplings are a solid use for bundles, especially early game. I keep a half, to full stack of saplings in each of my wood-type shulker boxes. Bundles would be good for anything you can easily duplicate with bonemeal as well. Two block tall flowers for example.

i really like joel's idea of using a heavy core for beacon range expansion and/or adding slots to it. as mentioned, it would be nice to have while still providing an option for players to gauge wether it's worth the grind of getting extra heavy cores or not

With regards to the first email, I want to point out that item frame fragility isn't really an issue because heavy cores are just blocks and could be placed in the world.
That doesn't get of the multiplayer issues of course, but just wanted to remind people of that fact!
Edit: right, Pix mentions placing it in the response to the very next email. Odd it wasn't brought up in this one as well.

rather than having heavy cores in an item frame, they could track how many diamond colored vaults have been opened by a player, and guarantee a core after X amount of openings and reset that number when a heavy core is found.

That sounds like it would address Jonny's concerns with the idea of a heavy core in an item frame. 👍
