Skizz, I have to say, you bring something new to Hermitcraft for me. You show different things than everyone else, and your episodes are totally different. It feels so old school, but closer to the common player. It gives me so much joy watching your Hermitcraft videos. I have been watching Hermitcraft for years, since season 5, and your series has changed my perspective on the server. Thank you for being you Skizz! Your journey has truthfully made me inspired and interested to do RUclips as a hobby someday. You inspire people Skizz, don’t forget it.
I think that’s one of my favorite things that skizz has brought to hermitcraft; some of the things he says are things i don’t know the others would say. Makes him stand out!
@@MCSkizzleman as someone who had a very minor case of shingles let me tell you that Tecnu is a godsend. It may be purposed for stuff like poison ivy and poison oak but cleaning the shingles rashes with it operates on the same concepts in that it breaks down the oils, prevents spread, and helps mitigate the itchiness.
@@liamengram6326 In theory (given how shingles works) any cream that relieves the nervous system in the area should relief the pain. The name escapes me (and it's probably irrelevant cause it's from Europe) but there's a cream that's meant to be used for the mouth when you have gum issues from injuries or similar and it does so by numbing down the flesh. Something akin to that might also work. At least here in Europe, i got it from the pharmacy after i bit a shard of glass. My mouth felt like it was tingling but the pain was gone completely.
SKIZZ - There's no shame in asking your friends for help. There's also no shame in tearing something down and starting again from scratch - it's actually becoming a Hermitcraft tradition! If a build doesn't feel right, or looks out of scale, rip it down and try again. Worst case scenario, we get a cool timelapse to watch and you create a situation to hang out with other Hermits. 😊
Move an entire massive pyramid up by one block (Impulse), tear down an entire starter house just to rotate it (Pearl), tear down half a small mountain of buildings because you found a better block pallette (Grian), tear down a massive cliffside build and completely change the concept to fit the feeling of the area better (Scar), blow up your entire base just to replace it with a facade without a back (Mumbo). It's definitely tradition.
Hope you feel better soon Skizz! I have a simple prank idea for you: Tango's fancy horse is called "Cogsworth" so you could hide it and replace it with a pig called "Hogsworth". Bonus points if you and others act like it's the same animal and Tango has been riding a pig all season!
Skizz, you already have three epsodes on board, you have a starter house, you have your base underway, you've helped out and made friends with all your neighbors and it hasn't even been two weeks! How fast do you think we expect you to go, homie buddy? This is Season Ten, we're doing fishing livestreams and taking it eeeeaaasy. :D Get some rest and let your body recover from those shingles! Great episode!
I love how in Skizzleman's first season ... That he wasn't at all hesitant about asking his fellow server mates for an opinion. This shows while Skizzle-bop may be new to Hermitcraft...that he genuinely wishes to learn about things. Gem and Grian totally are a great couple of builders to learn from. Well done.
Skizz--- I could tell in episode 1 how badly you're stressing out about being a "good hermit". And I'd just like to remind you that you have TONS of fans (myself included) that have been your fans for much longer than you've been a part of the HC server; that wanted you SO badly to join HC, KNOWING that you're not a "builder", or "redstoner" or ANYTHING like that! We all love you because you're YOU. There are absolutely NO expectations that you have to live up to. Just keep being you--- don't burn yourself out. Take time to heal if you need to. Goosfraba. You don't have to make massive mega builds to try and fit in. Just do whatever you want to do and keep being you! I'm sure I can speak for many--- but I for one, will be here with you no matter what! ❤ Welcome to Costco.... I love you ❤
Yeah Skizz, you don't need to stress out. Remember, you have played with half of the server in the Life series, and Grian, Gem and Scar in Phasmo. You'll do fine.
I second this sentiment. I only watched impulse, gem, and Fwip minecrafters last season, and when I found you on day one streams hunted to watch all your other content, because you are funny, and different, and I’m so excited to watch what you bring to this season. I laugh out loud more during your videos than everyone else’s. So don’t try to be anyone else, when nobody else can be you!
I hope he sees this. I see myself so much in him, if it was me invited to a server with these bunch of kind and talented people, id be very pressured to do more than good to not ruin that standard (that i obv made myself) and i fear that somewhere he might think that way which will burn him out very fast
It takes stones to dig out all the space for a build, start it, and immediately admit that the plan's not working and you need a second opinion. The fact that you knew something felt off and didn't hesitate to ask for help, that's the sign of both a good builder and a good man.
"Vertical descent at large velocities." Tango, don't ever change. Skizz, don't ever change, either - You fit into the group so well! Still very happy for you!
"Maybe if Wario had a son who was a meth addict" Boom. Headshot. XD Skizz don't ever let anything make you feel or think like you are not "up to snuff". You are absolutely compatible with hermitcraft. They wouldnt have invited you otherwisse!
Will never forget seeing Pearl join in season 8 being like "i wonder what kind of vibes she will bring to the server" only to watch her demolish and rebuild her starter base just so she could rotate it 90 degrees.
@@LilChuunosuke That was my first thought. Pearl having to rotate a completed base 90 degrees. At least Skizz didn't build the whole thing first, just 1/5th of it.
Shingles can be so painful! Please take it easy and take care of yourself first. Remember that you have the whole season to create what you want to create. (and frankly it’s not that uncommon for things not to be finished at all) Also, as much as Hermitcraft is known for its builders, it’s not a builders-only server. You were invited because you’re Skizz, not necessarily because you love building mega bases, though I do really look forward to seeing your pyramid! If work and shingles end up being too much, remember that quite a few hermits prioritize other things first, like fun, or redstone. Joe’s starter base this season is a couple copper trapdoors. Most of Etho’s season nine was just Decked Out. And hermits have to step back from their usual play styles for health or family reasons all the time. Wether or not you knock out a mega build in a couple weeks doesn’t really matter to your ability to stay engaged with Hermitcraft, just that you have fun don’t burn yourself out!
I know that you are stressed about building, but seeing someone on hermitcraft mess up, acknowledge that they messed up, and decide to change it is refreshing. Keeps it real as iskall would say.
I was so happy when I saw it was these two that Skizz asked for help. Both are exceptionally good and experienced builders that aren't afraid to give their opinion. Gem gives her opinion with tact born from love while Grian gives his opinion with humour born of love. The result is great advice from both sides of gentle in a way that really drives it home.
@@alysoffoxdale He followed the Pyramid in Season 7 with a custom biome where the floor was made out of raw iron blocks, something you can only get through mining iron ore by hand rather than from a farm, in season 8.
The fact that Cub's season s7 pyramid was so much bigger (albeit he had a ton more space) makes Grian and Gem saying Skizz's pyramid base is too big very funny to me lol
I wanted to say this man is activates huge amounts of love wherever he goes. Skizz was streaming right before the shingles diagonisis and the ENTIRE Skizzle Craft server and Twitch chat was yelling at him to get off and go see a doc. Skizzcraft was a massive anxiety huddle as we waited for news and sent out good vibes. The number of momma bear reactions shows just how much Skizzleman is loved in this community. Hope you feel better Skizz and good luck with the building maths.
I had shingles at 34. It was incredibly painful. It was one of the most stressful times of my life and the shingles happening was just like "yeah that makes sense". I feel you, Skizz.
I got them myself around the time I turned 29 like you it was probably the most stressful time in my life. Thanks for sharing. It is nice to know I am not as weird as I thought.
I think every builder is struck by the moment they realize something is bigger than they thought it would be! A good builder is one that realizes this and scales it back to something they can do! A smaller pyramid will still look amazing! And sometimes doing something in creative, even just building a one block tower can help give you an idea of scale or a giant square on the ground as well. Idk what you and gem are gonna plan to do with terraforming but I know whatever yall do will be amazing!
Skizz, make sure you don’t let pressure get to you regarding your builds, video timing, etc. we LOVE Skizz on Hermitcraft. We don’t need a different Skizz. We want the Skizz we all know and love. You are knocking it out of the park, bro!
Dude, Skizz. I was there for the Monday stream, where you were digging this area out. Take care of yourself please. (I'm loving all the videos and streams, it's fantastic, but also, take the breaks when they're needed. Get better. We were happy you made the decision to cut the stream short to figure out the health issue, but we will also be happy to know you're continuing to take care of your physical health first. GET BETTER FROM THOSE SHINGLES!!! YOU CAN'T CREATE IF YOU'RE DEAD FROM 'EM. (not that I expect that to happen, but we care about both your sanity and physical wellbeing, which should always come first.)
Skizz, there is no shame in tearing a build down and redoing it! Just be glad you caught it early! So proud of you for asking for help, that's awesome that you trusted your neighbors! Definitely a learning process, and now its gonna be better than ever! More manageable, more effort into vibes and detail not just size! Love you skizz! keep it up!
Solidarity fistbump from someone who also finds myself going “ah, this seemed reasonable in my head but now it is roughly the size of the whole continent”
I feel how it sucks when you realize you gotta tear down a build you already put a bunch of work into. Please dont feel bad/guilty about starting over or slow progress. It's a part of minecraft my dude. You dont have to do massive stuff or upload big videos or snip and cut all the 'boring' stuff out. It's like in the stream with imp, you can just chill and chat and do stuff and we ENJOY it.
Skizz, take it easy man. You haven't started slowly at all (unless you're feeling pressure to match Grians 20+ hours of fishing LOL). All we need is Skizz to do Skizz things. And you're accomplishing that perfectly.
skizz is genuinely so funny and wholesome at the same time, he definitely brings a new joy to the server and i love seeing the new interactions, plus more imp and skizz content which is literally the besttt, can't complain about that!
Can we all please take a moment to acknowledge what a genius decision it was to have Skizz join Hermitcraft? And despite all the personal setbacks, the entertainment value of this episode is just amazing. From the failed MLG clutch to the "there will be no crying", and the blooper reel, the dead silence when trying to find his way out of the base, Skizz is absolutely bringing the A-game and HC will never be the same. Thank you Skizz for bringing out your energy and personality and please make sure you take care of your health and family first!
I really want to say, I appreciate you keeping in and almost emphasizing when Tango comes to correct you. It's a wonderful model for how to handles criticism gracefully, even if it is a joke. (I, as someone in their late 20s, have NEVER had this modeled for me so clearly.) Thanks for keeping it real, Skizz. Also, asking others about the build... *chef's kiss*
1) SHINGLES OH NOOOOO my wife got that a couple years ago and she was miserable. I'm so sorry, feel better soon man. 2) You're such a goofball, I love the energy you bring to the server. Which leads to 3) I am so happy. I am SO HAPPY that you're on Hermitcraft now. Skizz, you bring so much joy and love to this server - it was by no means lacking that, but seeing you upload, seeing you in other people's videos, I always let out a cheer of "SKIIIIIIZ!!! :D :D :D :D" because you are just an instant shot of sunshine to my day and dopamine to my system. Thank you so much for being you.
Really glad you're scaling it back. Burnout is real, and with so many people basing so close to one another, it's very thoughtful of you to build something smaller than the mountain they all love.
Skizz I've watched you in Impulses videos for a while but never watched ypur hermitcraft stuff myself. And omg I've been on a binge of it all! Your content is so enjoyable and entertaining! It's different and fresh and I love it! Your sense of humor and laughter is infectious, and your drive to make content is just so inspiring. Don't feel like you have to "keep up" with the other hermits, you're doing amazing all on your own!
Cutting your death via failed bucket clutch at 3:00 made me burst into laughter, when I say I haven't laughed this much watching Minecraft videos in years I mean it! I feel like a kid again. You're really pulling out your A game on the editing, it keeps getting better! At this rate I'll be taking twice as long watching each of your videos because I need to leave comments or show my friends 😂
Skizz really never fails to make me laugh out loud every video. His comedy is definitely unmatched, and his editing style is awesome as well, from the fun Timelapse music to the perfectly cut moments. I don’t mind how long there are between episodes, as long as the videos keep the fun and the heart in them!
Skizzleman, friend, never be concerned about progress, timeliness or anything similar. I know a lot of viewers have this idea of Hermitcraft as being some insane 'hard-grind and massive-build' SMP but, in reality, it isn't. Hermitcraft is just a bunch of derps having fun at their own individual paces. Heck, there have been seasons where some people have barely taken part yet their contributions have been just as important as anyone else. You already fit in perfectly and your play style is why you are so loved. In short, keep doing you and don't stress it. Oh, and get well soon. Shingles is no fun. 🖤
This was the realist episode ever! The hermits usually make it look so easy with their creative built builds, but skizz tried to do what 95% of players do and just build from their head. Good to see the big guys make the same mistakes we do.
skizz’s monologue at 14:00 was so hilarious “sooo… how are you?” well skizz, since you asked, i feel like i just read classic literature while on acid. that’s how confusing your “story” was. in all seriousness, i’m glad you’re on hermitcraft and there’s no need to explain why you’ve been busy, we’re all human with lives and if you need to step away and take care of things, it’s ok.
Skizz is EASILY my new favorite hermit. I really appreciate how real he is especially when it comes to interacting with other hermits. I'm looking forward to more of his content!
1:50 idk why but Skizz just dropping the “welcome to episode 3” in the middle is the shenanigans made me crack up 😂 i was not expecting that lmao OMG 5:44 I almost spit out my cereal 😂😭 8:33 😭😭 i cant stop time-stamping im crying Renaming your horse to your ailment is the best thing ive ever seen 😂
I had shingles when I was in 8th grade. They were awful. But now as a nurse I can spot them miles aways and I try to always remind patients to take your meds, stay cool, and don't over do it. Take it easy and remember u can feel flu like symptoms with shingles. So take care of your self! Plenty of good fluids and rest!! Also love your episodes!! So excited about this season!
Hei Skizz! Don't ever apologise for IRL stuff. I think the hermitcraft-fanbase is more than understanding of the fact that you creators don't live in a perfect bubble. And man, you bring so much perspective to the other hermits. Here's the "regular" (you are not regular ...) guy making content next to the i-n-s-a-n-e grinders on the server. Keep doing what you love, don't burn yourself out, and most of all: Have fun being a Hermit now! We'll always support you in this journey! ❤
Man skizz HermitCraft videos stand out so much. Definitely feel extremely unique now that I have been so acclimated to the way other hermits do things over the years.
I’m so sorry to hear about the shingles diagnosis skizz! I caught them myself the week before my 30th birthday. I hope you have no lingering nerve damage and that the shingles were on a dermatome that wasn’t too detrimental to cause any more discomfort than they already do and I hope you don’t suffer from any postherpetic neuralgia. You’re amazing skizz and I love the work you do, keep it up!
omg Skizz...I had shingles when I was 20 (which dumbfounded my parents and doctors). It was some of the worst pain I've ever experienced. Hopefully you caught it in time to get the good meds for it! I hope your pain is manageable if not nonexistant and you have a speedy recovery!
21:20 The Kool Aid Man blooper just made my morning! 😂😂 As a 40 yo, I felt that when Tango said “we’re old!” Reminded me of the great Saturday morning cartoons, and seeing the Kool-Aid commercials or the latest in Super Soaker technology!
Comparison is the thief of joy. All your viewers agree you belong here and love your personality. Enjoy putting all your effort into hanging out with your friends and making great videos.
I’m so happy to see you on Hermitcraft. There isn’t a formula for being a hermit, although many of them follow similar patterns of big builds and progression in the game. What I would love to see is the Skizz take on this. Be, you, do your own thing, make your own rules. Be Skizz, and all will be good with the world.
Don't sweat it, dude. In s7 impulse rebuilt a huge chunk of his base. You don't have anything to prove, you did it already, you are a hermit!!! Have fun :)
Just a chunk? That top part he blew up was only the 2nd major edit. Before that he moved the entire pyramid up by one block because he didn't like the way it met the water. 😂
In S8, Pearl finished her starter base then tore it down to rebuild it at a different angle because she wanted it to face her neighbours!! Skizz is joining an elite class of hermits who destroy and rebuild their base for a perceived error.
Mumbo blew up his base in S9... (well, technically). That base had way more blocks than Skizz's. 100%, no shame in doing it. Admitting you may be wrong, asking for others' opinion. This is the way. Skizz is entertaining us and teaching lessons.
8:40 I could not stop laughing. Never change skizz, never change. Also, sorry to hear that you have shingles. I hope that they don't hurt too bad and that you get better soon.
Started watching your stuff for the first time as a result of Hermitcraft, and just wanted to say you're absolutely killing it dude. No need to apologize for anything, and no need to compare yourself to anyone, you're extremely fun to watch! Keep doing you!
Skizz's mind works in mysterious ways. Diagnosed with Shingles it inspires him to rename his horse. Next week he will rename it "I stubbed my toe getting out of the tub".
Skizz, I know you said to Grian that you don't really do the creative stuff, but it could possibly help with a project of this scale. I'm not saying to plan every detail or lay down every single brick, but with some simple commands in a test world you could build up maybe 2 sides of the pyramid and get a better sense of what scale you want. If you do try this, i highly recommend Litematica. Even for me as a noob, it's really straightforward to learn the basics and INCREDIBLY helpful. (Plus if you get stuck, I'm sure a lot of the other hermits use it and would be happy to help you). If you use Litematica, you can place a see-through schematic down in the overworld, and you'll be able to work out exactly what the build will look like in that spot. All that said, take things slow, have fun, and really hope you get better soon! ❤
Skizz don't take my message the wrong way. When I heard you would be joining I got a bit confused. In my humble opinion I tough there were creators that were "due" the chance before you. However, you definitely shut me up. Your transparency, your joy, the way you handle the "bad" stuff has been inspiring. The way you just named your horse shingles and move forward was AWESOME. NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. Lesson learned, thank you for that and sorry for doubting you! Your amazing dude.
Creators that are "due" isn't how it works to begin with. I'm sure this server has extended it's olive branch plenty of times to potential new members that we never even knew of. He didn't take a potential spot, he is the spot.
Hermitcraft is a big ol' democracy. You need a yes from every member to join. There are plenty of creators who are 'better' builders, redstoners or video creators. But to fit in and get the yes does take that special spark. At the end of the day the group has to all want to keep playing together and they have to be very selective to make sure the tone of the server is maintained. So yea, there are 'better' creators. But not better candidates. I didn't think Skizz would be invited because he's more of an adventurer than a builder - but he is a fun wildcard. He proves you don't need perfect stats to be worthy. Just the right personality.
Hermitcraft is a group of friends playing together and having fun; there's no such thing as "due" in terms of spots on the server. They aren't a company or organisation that picks the best of the best creators to show off their server; they look for those they will have fun playing with, and all agree on the names they suggest, as that is what Hermitcraft is all about, having fun while playing Minecraft together.
I love the commitment to the bit, first with the tango on the shoulder/don't be that guy, then the shingles, ride out, and then horsing around. Absolutely wonderful.
Just ask Impulse from Season 7 about what it's like to get mostly through a mega-build and go "NOPE!" and have to blow half of it up. It happens to the best of the mega-builders. Better to realize that now, then when you have the sunk cost of two or three other levels and suddenly panic. Great to see you on the server, Skizz!
Skizz, I said this in the last episode, but you are SO relatable to most of the minecraft players. And specially to us, 30-40s yo who started to play with our children and got fascinated by the game. We feel it. The struggle is real. And sure, it must be overwhelming to share this world with absurdly good builders and redstoners. Man, you are growing, will grow ever more, and we will be there to see it. Not only great builds, this is also what inspire us.
Oh, and i have a suggestion on how to get even more height on the fishing rod/rocket launcher: there's a delay in discord, so the person counting down will pull their rod a little bit ahead of everyone else. If the person about to be pulled is the one counting down, there's a higher chance of everyone pulling simultaneously. Might give get even more airtime that way.
@Bengt2509 Why not take discord out of the equation and just have a long repeater line or etho clock? Have one of the Redstoners whip up a simple countdown clock, then the countdown will be server side
Don’t cry Skizz! My wife and I are so happy you’re part of the server because of the amazing human being you are! Keep being yourself, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. One cool idea to connect your current base to the pyramid would be a rope/ancient mayan style bridge between the two. Definitely mess around in creative for block pallets and design ideas! Love you! Mmmkay?
Aw Skizz, I'm so glad you are a part of Hermitcraft. No apology needed for a slow start. I mean, not everyone can be Doc, and we don't need two Docs anyway. You are you and I'm so glad that you are! And I think it is super cool that you have a IRL job and can pull this off. Just don't burn out. Have fun and don't worry about a ton of progress at the start! These seasons can go on for quite some time, so no rush!
Little Idea that I had: Since you don't seem to be happy with the size of your base rn, I've thought of a little way that you could keep the original size, but not have it be encroaching on anyones build in any way. Nobody's really doing anything under the mountain and since your base is already in the mountain, you could totally build your pyramid IN THE MOUNTAIN!!! Make it a sorta centerpiece that the later minecart message/travel system goes around. Since the mountain is already semi-hollow and really deep, you probably wouldn't even need to do much digging, and it seems like the type of thing that would occupy you all season! This is just a little idea I had, you DEFINITELY don't have to do it if you do not feel like it. I've really enjoyed seeing you explore what you can do in Minecraft this season on the Hermitcraft server. I honestly think you are the funniest person I've ever watched and I can't wait to see more from you this season!! All the luck and love :)
There's a lot of hidden meaning to the way Skizz edits, as well as to the events that happen. From Tango coaching him on the side, to friends helping him out and Skizz helping his friends out, to this build he has planned. It's hard to put into words how amazing it is. It's also extremely engaging. I love writing, I'm a big fan of it. And I love these little details, every single one. "Riding out Shingles", the Woe corner, it's all so unique and wonderful. Not many folks talk about personal events, yet you lay out your cards face up. (Not all of them of course, and no one should expect you to). It's just amazing. Truly a work of art. Really makes me think, too. (Edit) As I go through the videos I realize Skizz is going through the lessons that this build (forgive me, I forgot what it's called.) describes. I don't truly know how accurate it is becaue I forgot the layers Skizz talked about, but it's so so cool to watch.
Such a great episode! Top notch, completely Hermit, love it. But, Skizz? Take care. Mentally and physically. You could literally work yourself sick. Don't be that guy. (Get well soon.)
Im late to this new season, thrilled to see Skizzleman is a part of it!! Fell in love with this guy through Phasmophobia videos, he helped me through my second year of college. I'd come back to my room every day with a meal and turn on those videos and it'd help me laugh and unwind after hard classes and missing home. I love watching hermitcraft, with all the friendship and great builds, so now that Skizz is a part of it my days have just gotten so much better. I hope you heal quick, man! Thank you for putting in the work ♡
I love your content Skizz! The way you instantly deviated from your block palette and had to tear down a massive amount of work is *so relatable* it's hard not to laugh! It's very similar to the way I build and so unlike the other hermits. Thank you so much Skizz! Stay awesone mmkay! (praying for a speedy recovery!)
Skizz, I am so happy you are in hermitcraft. I can't wait to see how much fun you are going to have with all the hermits. The builds are great and amazing, but I watch for the fun they all have. With you it is only going to be better. "I'm gonna name my horse Shingles and ride this thing out." This line killed me with laughter. Don't let it bring you down. Stay strong brother. We are here with you.
Haha I love this. Maybe instead of taking down the entirety of the pyramid layer you can just turn it into a platform base and build something on top of it and just transform the surrounding area into a fortress like thing with lava and deepslate peaks. Idk, just a suggestion since it's so big it might be a pain to take down. Also love all your interactions with everyone and impulse. Take care of yourself! 💜
Hey skizz! Don't sweat, my guy! I know it's insanely stressful to push out polished content every week, but try not to worry so much that it causes you unnecessary pain. I've been in a similar situation, and the stress got to me so badly that I now have permanent stomach issues. Someone told me one time that they loved me for ME, not just for my content. Likewise, the people here (new and old), are going to either love you, or hate you for who you are. Content quality is always second to personality. You bring such a real, authentic vibe to hermitcraft, and you really represent us common players who are not master builders or artists. We can't all be Ethos or Pearls! But maybe someday we can be. Your genuine self is what shines, and your builds - present and future - are always going to reflect who you are inside. Your personality is what makes a build special! Technicall skill and personal artistry will come in time. So don't sweat! Trust yourself, and have confidence. You're WORTHY of being where you are, so own it!
Some suggestions, if the height was one of the main concern.. you could put some of the bottom level undergound and covering the outer layer with some terraforming to make it like a sunken pyramid that's been excavated
relatively new subscriber here, started watching during secret life (am now also going back and watching the older Life series *and* hc s10), I got SO excited when I saw the vod clip of impulse's response to if there'd be a new hermit because his body language just screamed that it'd be you, and your vibes are AMAZING. You're so casually goofy silly and just havin' a good time with your friends! It's such a chill, friendly energy. It's honestly been inspiring as I start trying to put together my own channel and content style. also, hope that the shingles stays minor! my grandpa had that and it was horrible.
My dad suffered through shingles for a while. He's made a full recovery since, but it was an awful experience for him. And I wish you the best of health and a speedy recovery! Good luck Skizz!!
Hermitcraft is amazing in so many ways, but I think seeing this process is great, a lot of hermits would do this completely solo in a creative world and work out some of these kinks. Its really a lot more fun to see it happen with your friends live and slow progress is still lapping the rest of us. Your doing amazing sweetie
THIS! This perfectly summarizes how I feel about your episodes as well Skizz. Please keep going!
I love this so much!!! This comment should be pinned, a ton of us completely agree! ❤❤
Good idea

I’m crying- that’s so accurate-
I often put the captions on and send screen shots of good bits to my kid. That was this episode's one 😂
I think that’s one of my favorite things that skizz has brought to hermitcraft; some of the things he says are things i don’t know the others would say. Makes him stand out!

so happy skizz said what we were all thinking but too afraid to say in case kids were around lmfao
Diagnosed with Shingles while getting your roof re-done. Coincidence? I think not!
Seriously though, feel better soon Skizz. We'll wait patiently.
You just channeled Dash’s teacher didn’t you?

@@aserta any cream or gel with lidocaine will do that, it's great stuff.
12:51 Poor Tango, Skizz calling him the reason that keeps him straight. I think Tango is very handsome, and doesn't deserve to be done like that.
saw this before the vid and thought u were being serious 😭
hA! underrated joke!
agreed! Skizz must just be in denial /j
Lmaoooo
Lol
Skizz: "That was super fun, but we gotta get serious."
Grian: *makes it his whole episode *
Yeah, but since he's spending almost all his time fishing for mending, Grian pretty much doesn't have any other content right now!
Pearl and mumbo are iconic base tearer downers
Move an entire massive pyramid up by one block (Impulse), tear down an entire starter house just to rotate it (Pearl), tear down half a small mountain of buildings because you found a better block pallette (Grian), tear down a massive cliffside build and completely change the concept to fit the feeling of the area better (Scar), blow up your entire base just to replace it with a facade without a back (Mumbo). It's definitely tradition.
@@liamengram6326 I can see why Boatem got along well then lol
@@liamengram6326Or rebuild your entire starter house because you accidentially built on someone's land (Cub)
He could pull a mumbo and bribe scar to destroy his base
Hope you feel better soon Skizz! I have a simple prank idea for you: Tango's fancy horse is called "Cogsworth" so you could hide it and replace it with a pig called "Hogsworth". Bonus points if you and others act like it's the same animal and Tango has been riding a pig all season!
Oh that would be hilarious
Gaslighting
I like you
This would be so funny 😂 I hope he does it now! 😂
Lol
That would be awesome! 😂
You learning on camera, ON THE HERMITCRAFT SERVER, is a massive help to a lot of us. Thanks Skizz.
Hear hear!!! Skizz you got nothing to apologise for!!! Take it as slow as you want to
The combo pun of "we're just gonna have to ride [Shingles] out" and "that's enough horsing around" is so underappreciated
Well done.
100% - it's good that he realised sooner rather than later too!
it helps that tho he hasn't been a 'hermit' until now, he has been part of the larger group for a while so he's pretty comfortable with all the gang.
@@the_solomon_sage8431 Life will do that for you. ;)

Welcome to Costco....
Agreed 👍
"Vertical descent at large velocities." Tango, don't ever change. Skizz, don't ever change, either - You fit into the group so well! Still very happy for you!
2:55 everyone water bucket clutching down successfully and then the sudden cut when skizz failed is just peak comedic editing. 😂
It is also really funny from the other povs because he did it more than once and scar did the same lol
"Maybe if Wario had a son who was a meth addict"
Boom. Headshot. XD
Skizz don't ever let anything make you feel or think like you are not "up to snuff". You are absolutely compatible with hermitcraft. They wouldnt have invited you otherwisse!
Skizz is a true Hermit. Impulse, Pearl, Tango and Mumbo all tore their builds down, whether to change color, orientation, or vibe. ❤
Will never forget seeing Pearl join in season 8 being like "i wonder what kind of vibes she will bring to the server" only to watch her demolish and rebuild her starter base just so she could rotate it 90 degrees.
I was going to ay the same thing! Starting a build (or finishing, lol), not liking it, then tearing it down, is practically a Hermitcraft tradition!
@@LilChuunosuke That was my first thought. Pearl having to rotate a completed base 90 degrees. At least Skizz didn't build the whole thing first, just 1/5th of it.
@@LilChuunosuketruly an iconic moment. I subbed to her right then and there lol
OMG, I am loving the "don't be that guy" bits. Classic!
Your health is always the most important thing ❤
I know that you are stressed about building, but seeing someone on hermitcraft mess up, acknowledge that they messed up, and decide to change it is refreshing. Keeps it real as iskall would say.
I agree
It’s making me think of Impulse in season seven. He added and took away and changed the colors of his base so many times. It was also a pyramid…
the WOE, the tango-on-the-shoulder bit, the spelling error freeze frame, the horse named shingles....... skizzleman is truly a gift 🧡
I love that Gem is all sweet and like “we got this!” And Grian is all WHAT ARE TOU DOING!
8:40 I just LOVE how he was just chillin' behind you, like....listening, wanting to be part of the conversation...
How did that even happen while Impulse was in the same room!? 😂
Skizzleman, if you need help with large, pyramid structures the best Hermit to talk to would be Cubfan
Yes, absolutely, his pyramid was soo good
LOL! Cub was so burned out from that thing he didn't even want to build a base at all in S9!
@@alysoffoxdale He followed the Pyramid in Season 7 with a custom biome where the floor was made out of raw iron blocks, something you can only get through mining iron ore by hand rather than from a farm, in season 8.
Yes! Cub collab!
Stress has been a noted precursor to shingles

(I, as someone in their late 20s, have NEVER had this modeled for me so clearly.)
Thanks for keeping it real, Skizz.
Also, asking others about the build... *chef's kiss*

2) You're such a goofball, I love the energy you bring to the server. Which leads to
3) I am so happy. I am SO HAPPY that you're on Hermitcraft now. Thank you so much for being you.
Really glad you're scaling it back. Burnout is real, and with so many people basing so close to one another, it's very thoughtful of you to build something smaller than the mountain they all love.

I think Tango falling into the 1x1 trench is a skill issue... "GET Good Tango!!" 😂
Especially while riding a horse. That is next level.
"maybe if Wario had a son and he became a meth addict" is honestly the best description I've seen. I needed that laugh today.

I don't think anyone expected Skizz to join hermitcraft and immediately make the largest base of the group
He is the common man's Hermit! The relatable hero for us all! :D
skizz’s monologue at 14:00 was so hilarious “sooo… how are you?”
well skizz, since you asked, i feel like i just read classic literature while on acid. that’s how confusing your “story” was.
in all seriousness, i’m glad you’re on hermitcraft and there’s no need to explain why you’ve been busy, we’re all human with lives and if you need to step away and take care of things, it’s ok.
Skizz is EASILY my new favorite hermit. I really appreciate how real he is especially when it comes to interacting with other hermits. I'm looking forward to more of his content!

The 'riding it out' joke really got me 😂. I hope you feel better soon Skizz!

Not to mention mumbo returning to the server season 9 and starting his base, the recruiting help to blow it up again lol
@@asertaI don't remember what season but impulse rebuilt large chunks of his base repeatedly

After the state of that Warped Forest, looks like Tango needs to appear out of nowhere in some other people's videos.
"Shingles and ride this thing out" very poetic! You got this, Skizz!
Joel uses litematica, Skizz, so maybe reach out to him for help if you'd like to try it ❤
Skizz don't take my message the wrong way.
Welcome to the cult- i mean skizzleman family! ONE OF US! ONE OF US
Thank you for giving me a shot! 😉
Tango on the shoulder is the best thing ever. Everyone needs a tango on the shoulder.
Grian was always higher because he was the one calling the countdown. The one in the boat needs to do the countdown.
Oh yeah he pulls before the others.
Smart. I thought it was all the hot air. I’m just teasing of course.
I think that’s what happened with grian and gem getting to almost 900 blocks, grian was the one counting down
@Bengt2509 Why not take discord out of the equation and just have a long repeater line or etho clock? Have one of the Redstoners whip up a simple countdown clock, then the countdown will be server side
@@Jetpower485i mean they could do that but there’s also reaction times to consider
@@Bengt2509 Agreed, but the same is true with voice too.
If only armor stands could use fishing rods when powered.
Edit: grammer harder
Isn't it better if they're slightly staggered?
Don’t cry Skizz! My wife and I are so happy you’re part of the server because of the amazing human being you are! Keep being yourself, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. One cool idea to connect your current base to the pyramid would be a rope/ancient mayan style bridge between the two. Definitely mess around in creative for block pallets and design ideas! Love you! Mmmkay?
i'm obsessed with Tango's little guardian angel moments popping up to give skizz advice each episode 😭
Hope you're feeling better Skittlesman! All the love!❤
Little Idea that I had:
Since you don't seem to be happy with the size of your base rn, I've thought of a little way that you could keep the original size, but not have it be encroaching on anyones build in any way.
Zedaphs space pigs would be stunned by the flying skills of this guys
(Edit)
As I go through the videos I realize Skizz is going through the lessons that this build (forgive me, I forgot what it's called.) describes.
Like an adorable tiny house.
You can also take down two walls and leave two (slightly shorter) walls to rebuild from there. Talk to Gem, I'm sure she can guide you.
Ooh I like this idea! It could also represent the important mindsets of "staying grounded" as well as "rising above".
relatively new subscriber here, started watching during secret life (am now also going back and watching the older Life series *and* hc s10), I got SO excited when I saw the vod clip of impulse's response to if there'd be a new hermit because his body language just screamed that it'd be you, and your vibes are AMAZING. You're so casually goofy silly and just havin' a good time with your friends! It's such a chill, friendly energy. It's honestly been inspiring as I start trying to put together my own channel and content style.
also, hope that the shingles stays minor! my grandpa had that and it was horrible.
i never expected being this stupid happy giggling in my dorm watching skizzy goof around in a hermitcraft server.
My dad suffered through shingles for a while. He's made a full recovery since, but it was an awful experience for him. And I wish you the best of health and a speedy recovery! Good luck Skizz!!
You're quickly becoming one of my new favorite hermits! Such a new style of content added to the server and I love it!
