This week’s film breakdown analyzes ex Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Jared Goff and why he was traded for ex Detroit Lions Quarterback Matthew Stafford. A lot transpired with Goff and Rams coach Sean McVay and after a wild roller coaster ride of success and failure, the Rams traded Goff for Matthew Stafford. Why and how did Goff regress? And how good will Stafford be as his replacement? This episode uses the all-22 coaches film to analyze past and present Rams Quarterbacks Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford.

Imagine having 4 straight winning seasons and getting traded for a guy who didn't have 4 winning seasons in over a course of a decade. Then watching them win the Super Bowl year 1 without you.
This is what ESPN is supposed to be. It’s insane that you produce content 100 times better than they do. I say that as a compliment to you 👍
The Rams will win Superbowl LV1 over the Bengals. Thank me later.
Goff folded under pressure. Stafford doesn't.
This aged well.
Immediately clicked.
This aged like fine wine. I'm tired of the cookie cutter Skip Bayless reaction types that's all everything is now
well they won the super bowl....there is your answer!
here after the rams just won the superbowl :)
This video has aged extremely well.
As a Bears fan, I was always impressed by Stafford. I told someone a few years ago that there’s a reason a guy with a losing record is still a QB in the NFL. The guy has no fear and does some of the fastest after snap reads I’ve ever seen.
Love how I got this recommendation after staffers wins the superbowl
The editing is grossly underrated with this channel. From the B frame footage to the cuts. Top notch.
Being a Die-Hard rams fan, Jared Goff had his best years when defenses hadn't caught onto what the rams were doing as far as offensive playcalling. He had a runningback who could take over the game every play he was on the field, this is what was used to help manipulate defenses. There was also the fact that Rodger Saffold, Andrew Whitworth, John Sullivan etc... He had an amazing o-line, an incredible runningback etc... Mcvays playcalls were very different than the rest of the nfl, so the rams could cruise through defenses easily. When Mcvays system was figured out vs the bears and pats, what goff relied on for many years was over. Goff does well when he is playing in the right system. He isnt the best quarterback when it comes to having the game all on him or defenses sending pressure all the time! IT was figured out that defenses could send 0 covereges to scare goff into bad decisions. When the offensive line regressed, and Todd Gurley was not the same. The pressure was on Goff to make plays through the pressure of the defenses always sending blitzes. Goff has a hard time adjusting to things being more on him to make plays that the great ones make. Reading defenses also became a problem that showed because he would get confused before a play thinking its cover 2, and it was an all out blitz. This is just a summary of what i know. I would tell you more but you get the point!
Im so Happy for Stafford!! I may be a lifelong Lions fan, but Iim glad that Stafford will finally get the credit he so much deserves. It seemed that every time the Lions won a game with Stafford is was more about how the other team lost.
as a lot of these comments, i was a lifelong Lions fan, then i became a bigger Stafford fan, now i am a rams fan. great video, really great video to be honest.
Was a pleasure having Stafford in Detroit. Rooting for him.
Because the NFC West just had to get better…
Checking in after we won the Super Bowl. Whose house? 👂....
