clark I appreciated you video on VHF radios and grounding. Sailing has been in myfamily for quite awhile. Helped my dad build a 55 steek sailboat in 1970's. I just have a24 outboard and little sailfishes up here in NJ. Best Mark
That Fluke Clamp meter has the somewhat smaller clamp. That increases accuracy and sensitivity somewhat. The smallest one (the clamp) is in a no name chinese meter, its white, and its super sensitive to very small currents especially at the DC level which is what I need. I can measure in the mili amp area. Very handy , and the clamp is a smaller circle and about the size , a little larger, than RG-8 cable.
I was looking for a smaller clamp then I had on my Kline but didn't want to go that small as I use it with battery cables a lot. I think the fluke is about right for me Gets in where the Kline has trouble
@@Clarks-Adventure The accuracy improves when the space inside the clamp is smaller (based on non engineering info though, I admit). My best clamp meter was a Chinese meter with a really small clamp and it would measure VERY small amounts of current accurately. I've just ordered the Fluke. Thanks for the heads up.
I have several digital meters. When I have a choice, I nearly always grab an analog meter. Sometimes when doing radio circuits I have to use a digital meter, however, most of the time the Simpson 260 is my go to meter. When working with centrifugal pumps analog is definitely superior to digital, because they show even the slightest amount of cavitation where a digital just displays random mess. I have been messing around a bit with a Pokit Pro meter. It definitely has plus and minus attributes. I'm looking forward to trying their amp clamp meter soon. I have two Fluke meters they will not service, or supply parts for. One is a portable oscilloscope that has a broken plastic BNC jack that they don't support. VERY EXPENSIVE meter to write off, because lack of support. That was the last time I spent money with Fluke. For me, anything but Fluke every time.
Great meter. Picked one up about 6 months ago. Does every thing I need it to do. One down side is no back light. My old fluke meter just died after over 30 years in the tool bag. If this one lasts that long I won’t be the one using it.
When you see a product that says Amazon's Choice, it's a pretty safe bet that you've got the best supplier with the best product at the best price. Clark's link has that indicator. I'll put in my cart and move it to saved for later because I want a good clamp meter. Keep in mind where you learned of it in case you want Clark to get a commission. Maybe bookmark the link so, when you start typing, "Fluke 362", your bookmark will come up in the quick pick list.
I just saw that EcoFlow has a new normal Lifepo4 12V battery that just launched a few days ago since you are talking about reviewing batteries again. Would love to see a teardown as their other stuff seems pretty skookum overall.
You could write them suggesting my channel. Buyer suggestions seem to work with their marketing folks I have a bunch of offers pending but just normal batteries. I tend to go with viewer votes unless I see something special like this liTime. I'll put you down for a vote on EcoFlow, Patrick
Yeah I saw that. But not the RMS part It's the same meter so it has the same features. I put a link to the other one because 2 dollars doesn't make much difference and the 140 dollar one is the one I bought so I know it was legit. But as I always say, but it anywhere you like. The link is chiefly for your convenience
@@Clarks-Adventure i wonder why it is $2 cheaper from the same seller. It maybe older stock and maybe only Chinese manual. It doesn’t say anything about the current level, so somewhat suspicious
I have really wanted a clamp amp meter for a long time. At that price point and being a FLUKE, you just convinced me to finally buy one!

I started using Flukes since the 60’s. I’m going to get one of these. RVer here.

I just bought KAIWEETS for $25 on Amazon. Yes it does read dc current. Probably not as precise as the fluke but it works
Comment back in a month and say how you like it
Amazondotca has these at $190. Gotta love inflation.
Nice review Clark.
$140
It's still 140usd
I have a fluke for my electronics bench that I've had forever. Never had a clamp meter before, just ordered off your link!!!
I like this one because the clamp is thinner. I can get it into smaller spaces
I have two Klein clamp meters. And many regular ones. Uni-T UT117C and my SouthWire 23070T are my favorites by far.
Thanks for that.
I like it when we share our experiences with other viewers

Yes I assumed it had a light until recently when I realized I couldn't find the backlight button.

Always helpful
Thanks Steve
Price aside, Fluke makes great quality meters. Period
I agree. I've never been disappointed
There was the same seller with the same meter for $138. Said it was true RMS.

@dfhepner I guess the manual is a possibility.
One of the reviews I watched said the manual was Chinese. Mines English first
I would buy one but my 45 year old fluke still works
Nov 1st 2024 on Amazon $134.95 USD
Fluke is extremely expensive meter.
Not this one
Fluke cheap? 😂
I think 140 for that is cheap
