I'm currently writing a book on Krag-Jorgensen rifles, and for a quick summary, I can tell you that the artillery and infantry carbine conversions never really had a "set" amount of production. They were just converted from old 1889 rifles after the program began in 1924 whenever the artillery or infantry needed carbines. The infantry carbine differs from the artillery by sling swivels, bolt handle bend, and no stud going through the wrist, but that's essentially it. The program was far too expensive to convert all of the M.1889 rifles to carbines, so the 1889 rifle remained standard issue. In the 1930s, the arsenal basically started converting them whenever they had the opportunity. Supposedly it was planned that every 3rd 1889 that was sent back to the factory for repairs would be converted. During WW2, the Germans produced around 5,000 infantry carbines as well from a mixture of old and new receivers when they occupied Denmark. Yours is one example, where they took an old 1889 and converted it to a carbine, likely sometime in the mid 1930s.
I've read some arsenal archival documentation about them, and there isn't a specific amount of carbines produced, nor is there much of a way to track all of them, since many rifles were converted. You can find numbers of rifles being ordered for conversion, but this doesn't mean they actually were converted, just requests from different military divisions. Also worth noting the model wasn't ever actually referred to as the M/1889/24, that's a collector term that's been around for a while and isn't correct. It was simply the 1889 Artillerikarabin.

I really appreciate the time that you took to write this awesome comment. I'm honored that you found my video and clarified my lack of informations regarding this carbine. Thank you very much ! If you need any photos of this specific example for your book (it's all matching and complete) i'll be glad to help.
Again, thanks for this very detailled explanation.
Bonne chance pour votre livre !
