It's true that only a minority of patients with AGS react to gelatin in foods or orally administered medications, but "“Due to the parenteral route of administration, allergists consider alpha-gal-containing drugs even more dangerous for allergic patients than mammalian meat.” This seems to be especially true for gelatin-based plasma volume expanders, which aren't commonly used in the U.S. (if at all).
