Of course Sal is still gonna purchase it. Most of his channel revolves around 2B2T content, the channel would straight up die if he had to wait 10-12 hours during peak just to play on the server. Hausemaster just has him and other channels that focus on 2B2T content by the balls in that respect
Well there's three options
- save 20 dollars a month
- wait 12 hours a day to even attempt making a video, reducing productivity, therefore, his income via RUclips ads, and likely losing way more than 20 dollars
- make other content and betray viewerbase's expectations (note that the people that stick with a creator through drastic changes in their channel are a minority) and pretty much risking part of his livelihood

I think house master knows he has something good in his hands and isn't necessarily abusing it, but is surely pushing his luck on how lazy he can be about it.
I remember I renewed my priority queue a day early and the next day I lost it. I had to refund through PayPal and purchase it again, and Hause said if I did it again without going though some email bs he would priority ban me next time. Kind of a dick move tbh. Not my fault the renewal system was garbage.

It’s an anarchy server, so making it near impossible to wait just to play once removes the point, if your extremely lucky to not loose internet connection. Paying for priority queue is even worse, you still need to wait an hour. The donations clearly doesn’t seem to make bug fixes quicker. Priority Queue and the Queue altogether makes 2b2t a subscription to play

@@tectamk.thorne7837 You know Minecraft does not have multi-threading so if 2b2t's queue gets removed the average TPS would be around 0.1. That would be basically not having the server at all. Either Mojang fixes Minecraft's compatibility with multiple threads or 2b2t's queue keeps existing. The only option I see is if there was a mod that changed the original Minecraft's source code, which I don't even know if it is legal without Microsofts's permission. So keeping the queue is the best option.
@@melihemreun7370 because there’s multiple servers. Every main lobby only holds 150. Every lobby in every mini games holes 100. 2bt2 is only one serve besides the queue server which is why only a few players can be on

How I get through queue: During my homeschool, I wait until there is 3 hours left and I turn on Minecraft so it gets me through the queue while I’m in school. When school is over, I load in. Ez
I load it up at 3am and when I get home at 3pm I've loaded in and loading in before I get home and risk getting kicked for inactivity isn't a problem because I leave baritone on

I know this is part-joke, but the conclusion of the video is at 7:55 , where he talks about how he does still pay for priority access because there's no other server like it, but it's still up to you to decide if it *truly is worth it* to you personally.

this was a great video this helps me a lot. I mostly play sky-block on hypixel and was thinking of doing some stuff of 2b2t and the queue is so long I got in one time but that was short lived. for me I know it's not my game but I love the fact that there's a history, for me I want things to grow and thrive and I wanna play because I wanna see if I can make something amazing that secret that will stand for years at least like the valley of wheat which I loved. but maybe after watching this video if the master isn't helping or fixing the server maybe I should stay away from it and move on. I was never a person who liked conflict or griefing but I love that everything gets destroyed and when something stands it's more amazing since most things get blown up, this video might have just saved me more money on things that I will enjoy much more. But even with that said I feel apart of the community knowing and admiring the history

I honestly doubt hause has any passion for the game as a whole anymore. He must only stick around for that fat paycheck and makes sure the server doesn't choke itself. Money aside, I can't imagine anyone else having the same patience to even run a server like that for years

I haven't payed, nor played since early 2019 for exactly this issue. It just seemed like a money sink I had to use in order to log onto a worse version of MC that has a slightly more memorable community, and even that has become extremely diluted over the past few years with the prolonged boom of new membership from places like YT and reddit. I hope one day that the place becomes bearable again because it was genuinely fun to play while I could, I just won't keep my hopes up.

MC only uses 1 CPU core for servers. so all the servers basically run the same, it depends on single core performance. I doubt java edition will ever implement multicore but if they did, you could run a server like this flawlessly on consumer grade tech

have you heard of the tale of yandev, the man had an idea if a yandere + hitman + persona game and when into it with no experience of code, he made a “working” prototype some time later, and it actually went successful a bit, he then decided that developing this game would be his number one goal. He made a patreon and started work, and working, working, and working, now it has been 6 years and the first major rival of the game hasn’t even been made yet because this buffoon has realized that sitting around and doing nothing makes the same amount of money as working day in day out. so now he sits and flounders all day streaming instead of programming and maybe making a successful career for himself because he realized the fact you stated here, but then people started noticing. They noticed that this man streams almost half of the day yet insists he is coding, they noticed of how bad the game actually runs yet he says that “it is still a prototype, and the final version will run better. They have also realized how horrible a person he is and how bad he is at taking criticism, and now his respect has gone down past the floor and into the shadow realm. Okay, look, what you are saying is that instead of working to make people happy and satisfied with his work, he’d lay there and do nothing because all the money is coming to him whether or not he is working. kinda sounds a bit selfish and morally wrong eh? soon people will begin realizing how bad 2b2t is being handled and will start quitting, and then he will wonder where all his revenue has went instead of actually fixing things. it’s a really bad mindset to follow, and it might come back to bite him.

That same "You have been disconnected from the server" still happens to me. This happened to me a few days ago where it took hours for me to connect. I play vanilla with impact client. My best try is restarting my launcher and game, it fixes it most of the time. This problem was not actually fixed it still happens..
after this video i went from thinking that Hausemaster did a good job with dealing with these things on 2b2t to finding him just some guy who got lucky that so many people like his erver.
This seemed to point out a lot of the negatives of 2b2t, not just about priority access. Why do people still play on 2b2t? Is it really just because it’s an old map?
I guess it's because they have played so much. If you are new, just don't play lol, go on a different anarchy server it's the same thing, hardly anyone cares about the history.

I don't personally know hausemaster, but I get the feeling that he doesn't really care about minecraft or about his server.... That he only cares about the money and that the server is stable enough to keep its players from switching to another server. I think he at the start was passionate about minecraft and his server, but over time it only became a source of income.... which would expain the decreasing amount of engagement over the years
But as I said, I do not personally know hausemaster and these are just my thoughts and feelings.

Hey, Sal, have u ever thought of making an RNG manipulator on 2b2t? Im wondering why nobody's done it yet. Given your ties to both the anarchy and technical communities, im curious about it.
Im assuming you know about it, but if you don't, RNG manipulation is an exploit that would put (almost) everything random in the game under player control. Mob spawning, weather, the number of items gained from fortune, etc. RNG manipulation is the best possible mob farm possible since mobs will spawn every game tick. And it would be possible, since Hause is letting the server stay on 1.12 forever, and the exploit is patched by Mojang in 1.13+. Its only a matter of time before somebody does it.
unless paper patched it for 1.12.2, which is what the flavor of the server 2b2t runs

Other then the fixing bugs aspects and post deletion, not updating the server, bad server lag, and even the 250 player cap in the first place is more to blame at mojang who have STILL not let servers run on more then 1 cpu core of a pc and have yet to fix a plethora of other server specific issues for minecraft

I understand people like to hate on constantium but honestly i've had the best time on that server due to the owner being involved and fixing exploits fast and communicating with us

But... haven't you guys been on a temp map more than you've had the actual map in 2020? Also dosen't the owner ban people? The people I know who used to play on constantium do not like that server and think it's gone massively down hill recently.
It's also whitelisted, which is an odd choice for this kind of server.
I don't want to suggest you're wrong for having had fun on that server, and I don't have much first hand experience with Constantium. Just saying I don't really understand why Fit and Sal praise the server. There are better examples of similar servers.

really not sure about that but phantomcaptain was in hospital so he couldnt work on the server (to fix lag etc), so imo its good that phantom made a temp map instead of leaving it as it is with lag

one thing is that if you do not have priority queue u wait 8 hours but if you want to join server like about 8 am u go and turn on your PC about 1am so the electricity go of for just PC being turned on and these day when prices went up u pay for the electrycity maybe about 25 bucks per month (just for pc) so maybe if you want to play and skip 8 hours queue and save some electrycity plus donate to server I think it is worth it.
I don't think donations always have to be for improvements, they could also just be for general running costs, etc.

Don't worry. The guy just happens to create one of the first anarchy Minecraft server and managed to keep it running continuously for years and without map resets.

if you are serious to play the game YES its a must. you otherwise have to wait for sometimes hours and then u can disconnect and have to redo it all over again. i am gonna try it for a month not sure if its worth it long term but pretty fun lol

If it wasn't for the RUclipsrs making this server sound like the most epic thing ever with their dramatic retellings of pasts events, I don't think many people would care that much at all. That's just my theory though, I've never actually played so maybe there's something I'm missing here.
@@aboutrainbow8614 Well, I did get in back when the server population was about 200 in 2017 I think. I waited several hours every day to get in, mostly by just setting a timer for when to check my place in line. Escaping spawn was easy, there was nobody around, I just walked, climbed a lava cast, went a few thousand blocks and found a few wheat, farmed some wood, apples and bread and headed a hundred thousand blocks out in a skew direction. I think I died once from falling into a ravine while getting off a horse. It was about that time that I bargained that I'd wait for the nomad lifestyle to be cheaper in the inevitable dead future when the server's popularity waned. I didn't want to spend so much time tying up my computer every day. I don't regret giving up, but I do kind of wish I'd paid for one month, just to get the full experience. And yeah, the server is mostly empty minecraft terrain, abysmal render distance, lag, no mobs and insane chat spam.
That money should be going into a stronger server architecture and more player slots, not straight into Hause's pockets, never to be seen again.

I think Hausemaster isn't interested in 2b2t anymore, or has ever been, he rarely communicate with people playing it.

Good call on the criticisms for even investing in Priority Queue. For what it's worth, I still feel it's a far better investment than say fast food -- that shit gets pricey as a one-off thing... yet with Priority Queue, you'll be at least set for a month, rather instead of a single day from getting take out. That all being said, I'll give Constantiam a look!

quick tip: before going to bed check if the queue. if its 500, thats 5 hours or so. so set an alarm to wake up 5 hours before you wake up for the day. by the time you wake up normally you will be in!
Its kinda funny but also sad at the same time seeing ppl like this. They love the server, they are pretty much forced to pay for it as there is no other option to actually play. And Hausemaster.. He doesn't care, like I feel bad for these ppl, they got no other options and are forced to give a guy money for p much nothing, but it's also funny that they keep giving him money

If u have online school just open up Minecraft and jump in the queue in the morning and you’ll be able to play in the afternoon you still have to wait a bit in the afternoon but it’s the best option if you don’t have priority queue

You forget that the money you spend also goes to helping keeping the server alive. A server is not free to run, even if it would be hosted at home from a old PC. It costs electricity, upkeep, hardware replacement etc.

At the moment house is stuck in a difficult situation he has controlled of an extremely rare and valuable product but he just can't sell it (due to technical limitations) so I'm hoping that he realises that with a bit of smart investing low risk he can make wayyyy more money off it

9b9t had its 4ya a few months ago. There was a big event and it was great. hause just doesnt fuckin care about anything to do with the server.
@@ell..... ya, I have played on 9b9t myself since 2018, back then it had only like 20 players on in very peek hours, in those days 2b2t was better by far, there was very few people not willing to pay 20$ but now its litterally a second 2b2t, and its 4 years old, not the worst at all, btw my ign is Aluminisin if you dont beleve that ive played that long look me up :)

Yeah. like i understand the novelty of seeing such an old world but not playing on it as a main server.
I mean it has a long load time, but people either like anarchy, like the groups and major collaborations, like to troll, or get a rush out of building something that can be taken down, but if it stays up then is a testament to them. *theres a lot of history that comes out of the anarchy, FitMC has a lot of really interesting video essays (with a super good voice) on it.*
*I'm in the queue for first playtime, but when bases/groups can be destroyed, I think it makes them feel realer*
The thing is that you won't find other server with almost 10 years of playtime. The most cool I think is not about the survival (since it is almost impossible) but checking all the stories the world has to tell only by looking at it, all the last stand huts grown up by one seed and one sapling, the highways in the Nether, the thousands of battles, murders, griefs, raids and chases, something that you would never experience in singleplayer.
