SMT IV coming to modern consoles and PC in any way would be a dream come true for me. That game is a masterpiece in my eyes and it's one of my absolute favorite games of all time, getting to play it on a big screen would be an amazing experience.
The big thing I would want is a sort of collection of the 3ds games or even ps2. Just to have them be overall available and in the case of the series. if one didn't grab you. Another one could. Also the price overall would be workable and allow a bit of leeway in terms of updating the game.
Atlus got of games that need to be put on modern hardware. Devil Summoner, Trauma Center, Etrian Odyssey, SNES SMT and Classic Persona. No remakes needed, I would buy every single one if they were just ported over.
I disagree. I love how you had to ask NPCs for directions and navigate your way through the huge city of Tokyo. It felt really immersive because there was so much stuff to find.
I beat the game last month. Got lost a few times though map wasn't too bad. Currently playing Strange Journey. Figuring out the map in that game gets insanely confusing.
Persona 3 Reload was an extremely disappointing remake that loses much of the identity of the original, so I can't say that an SMT IV remake from Atlus is something that I want anymore. But if it does happen then hopefully it isn't handled as poorly as Reload.

It may not need a remake but it definitely could use a modern rerelease to make it mor accessible especially with the eshop shutting down

SMT4 needs a better map, because I remember struggling a bit with remembering names and what was everywhere

The issue with the map is a bit overblown. Throughout the entire game I only got lost once when trying to find the book store ikebukuro
