Hi Erik, I used to work for Blue Circle from 78 untill 86 and drove some of the trucks I made.
I started buying photos and looking for the parts and Decals a few years before I made them which was a challenge but found enough to make them in mostly 1:76 scale 16 years ago when my eyesight was very good.
      All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi, Paul! This is an awesome collection, moreover I would say yellow is my favorite colour. Detailing on the hand-made trucks are fantastic, and it is easy to presume how much work is there. Also a cap and a cup truck related... super! Thank you for showing this little treasure, have a good new week!
PS. While in the process of admission to the U.E., the presidents of Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania (Iliescu, at that time, which speaks a very bad English) are called to have some tests. One of this tests is to describe an everyday activity, but compulsorily using the words GREEN, YELLOW and PINK.
The president of Hungary: "When I wake up in the morning, I feel fresh and GREEN, I see the YELLOW sun and I think it will be a PINK day."
The Bulgarian president: "In the morning, I drink a YELLOW lemon juice. At noon, I eat a GREEN apple. In the evening, I watch "PINK Panther" at the TV."
Finally, mr. Iliescu...: "When I wake up in ze morning, I hear ze telefon ringing GREEN-GREEN, so I PINK up ze fon and tell YELLOW?!"😁

Hi Chris, I started finding and buying photos of these Blue Circle truck long before I made mine some 16 years ago as I wanted to make my models as accurate as possible in detail and colors. I used to drive some of these trucks from 79 untill 86 so knew many details of them
I have many of the memorabelia like cups, ties, clocks etc collected over the years.
Very funny and clever story of the colors😂.
Have a great week., Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Remember the old roadtrains, we used to rent them out, not as nice to drive as a scania or the DAF 2800 but they were built to work and only that, were did the dodge s cab come from.

Hi Clive, I served my time on Bedfords, Leylands Plant etc passed my Class 1 in 78 and went to Blue Circle in 79. I ended up driving a 1986 Roadtrain 17-325 for 3 years it was top spec for its time. Anyway long story, I later went back in a workshop as a supervisor whos firm ran Scanias for me the best truck on the road.
The Dodge cab came from a Matchbox box van, its slightly smaller than 1:76 scale but close enough. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Paul, that's a cracking collection of Blue Circle trucks. Looks like you put quite a bit of work into some of those. Must of taken some digging to find the information on them. Really enjoyed the video. All the best butty. Carl.

Hi Paul, i have to say that it is one of the best collections of a company's trucks and vehicles I've ever seen. The painting and detailing looks impressive, you must have had x-ray vision in your younger days. Until you have tried it, people can't appreciate the amount of work that is required. It can be very frustrating, which makes the end result so much more satisfying. Well done mate. Steven.

Hi Steven, thanks for the kind comments, its much appreciated. After serving my time as a Goods and plant mechanic I passed my Class 1 test and drove trucks for this Company in 79 untill 89. I actually drove a number of the trucks I made so knew many details. I spent a long time aquiring photos of the trucks and finding the correct Decals as well as the parts to assemble the trucks. It took me ages to make the bodies and tanks but the end result was worth the effort.
I did have perfect eyesight 16 years ago, so I am glad I made them then.
Thanks for your support in my hobbies.
      All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

That’s a great tribute to have made.My late Father was a lorry driver all of his working life, like many of his generation he got his license during his time of National Service.I have many fond memories of spending my school holidays with him in his lorry. His last wagon was a Scania 111.

@@MichaelDavies-pg8td Hi Michael, good to hear you spent time as a youngster with your Father in his Lorry. Those are memories you wont forget. The Scania 111 was a superb Lorry as are all Scanias.
I took my Father on some trips during his fight with cancer, he had never travelled in a Lorry before.
      All the best, Paul.
