- Chris Parks and Mario Camargo are the duo behind Blake’s Grillery, a taco pop-up in Oakland, CA that was born amid the Coronavirus pandemic. While businesses all over the country were forced to close, Blake’s Grillery offered a mutually beneficial opportunity to bars, allowing them to stay open with a food service option. The taco pop-up focuses on Mexican BBQ style tacos like chicken tinga and quesabirria, and the duo sell their food at different bars in the Bay Area. While 2020 was a difficult year for all, it provided a unique chance at redemption for Chris and Mario.

yeah thats one thing about bay area life is that everyone always goes to get Mexican food together whether your drunk, high, sober or hungover and always talking and having good times with other people doing the same thing. burritos and tacos are a big part of California culture and maybe american culture too.

2017-2020 has been an ever increasing shitstorm for me. From losing people to cancer, to failed business ventures, to losing jobs to losing all my money - nothing has gone my way. Got pretty close to the edge a few times but am trying my best to look forward to 2021.
Here’s hoping things work out this time.
Adversity keeps you busy. From what it looks like, he was prob running the business into the ground, and doing some bad shit on the side. Good for them, that they’re ironing out their shit and growing stronger together.
He turned 30 at 2019 and it all went down. When I turned 30 last 2016 my life also went to shitsville. Man they are an inspiration. 🍻
I’m sure a lot of us can relate to these dudes. I’ve been unemployed for a year so far, but it’s unAmerican to quit... just like these guys. Monday sucked? Ok on to Wednesday. Great attitude, very inspirational! Those taco/burritos look 🔥 too!

@@rce6411 Almost all billionaires today took risks that could only be described as stupid or asinine by common people with skittish attitudes and undaring mindset, some sell all their assets and live in their car because they need money for their endeavors and they believe in their products. America was literally built because someone had the courage to traverse dangerous seas without a clear trajectory or destination. These types of mentalities are what makes the American economy the strongest in the world. It's just that people (most of all, wives) only appreciate this mentality when it ends up being a success. If it succeeds, then she'll say she supported him all the way from the start, if he fails she'll imagine a scenario where she apparently discouraged him from the start and told him it was a bad idea.
My uncle lost all his money on a business he made in his twenties and his wife wouldn't shut up about, when he tried another venture she almost left him over it and called it stupid and i witnessed it all in real-time, now after that endeavor has been hugely successful she apparently "came up with the idea" and "worked alongside him all the way" and it's like she completely forgot about her initial attitude
@@tonicrvnts I think there's a lot more to the story than we know of. Failing that business could've had serious repercussions to the economic stability of his household; basic needs not being met, constant arguments about how to pay debt, stress and anxiety getting in the way of romantic intimacy etc..
@@bimapamungkas9109 Understandable but a spouse still should be supportive. After all, the failing of the business was not a consequence of obvious irresponsibility or recklessness. An owner wants his/her business to success, right?
