I have moved to Canada for years but I talk to my parents every single day in Taiwan 😍. Sometimes if I am too silent for a few days, my parents would get worried 😎

We live n Vancouver and planning to stay in the south, 3 months of the year we n a couple or 3 years .. Taiwan is so good now .. technology wise and safety and other matters
@@cdnsilverdaddy Another Vancouverite, my wife's family is in Kaohsiung and I travelled there for the first time last year. Lots more to explore and hope to get back there if not this year then next year for Chinese New Year. Really enjoyed Cijin island!
I was shocked when Jason started to talk. His appearance is 100% Taiwanese, but when he opens his mouth he is 100% American... The funnest thing is I then went to Jason's channel and there he was speaking Taiwanese mixing in with 台灣國語 from time to time (eg. 公園 he said "gong yan" instead of "gong yuan"). He IS a fascinating guy. 😄😄😄

Great video. I’m the same as Jason. My parents spoke to me exclusively in Taiwanese so I can speak decent Taiwanese but very little Chinese. I found it’s the same with a lot of Taiwanese Americans
北美的冬天下的暴雪真的很令人厭恨，又要鏟雪又要灑鹽開車又會滑車輪出門走路膝蓋以下全都濕了，特別是融雪的時候 ，台灣人看到雪就像瘋了，我看到雪真的蠻厭恨的。 Snowstorms in North American winters are really annoying. You have to shovel snow, spread salt, drive on slippery roads, get out and about. Everything below the knee is wet, especially when the snow melts. Taiwanese people go crazy when they see snow. I'm really tired of snowing.
Great segment Wes. Guess I will be like Jason soon, miss shoveling the snow off sidewalks by 10 am to avoid city fine. I won’t miss driving in the snow, given the west coast governments are not setup for mass snow removals. Take care & have a great 2023.
8:21 visited Taiwan for the first time in 2022 with my Taiwanese wife and had a tough time with the shared meals. Problem is while I love all Taiwanese desserts, the tough, fatty + stringy meats, and anything fishy is not to my tastes. So gatherings around the hot pot are a challenge. My wife has been trying to train me to tolerate Taiwanese food, but it's not going very well :( Luckily I have been seeing lots of untested foods here on your channel, and I'll try anything once! Maybe you can find a big taco bar or Indian buffet and showcase it in an upcoming video - haha!

家族一個親戚只有一個兒子,但在國中時就特意送去美國讀書,現在他兒子已經40歲了,其間他兒子只回來台灣一次,而父母只去美國一次就是兒子結婚的時候,當中的聯絡都是兒子缺錢時,需要父母匯款的時刻.
他父母現在年老了.才後悔和兒子沒有太多親子關係.只剩下金錢關係.
今天節目中的來賓是孝順的,有想到回來陪父母.而回台灣定居.

有些事因他人決定，自己沒選擇之下。
等到你能力想改變，時間上有些來不及，但是我們還是做了，不後悔！
從頭再努力出發一次，是相當辛苦，年齡體力大不如前。日積月累還是會趕上！堅強兩字
讓我們做好自己！還好兩個兒子從小就很獨力，就不必太超心。
