The best virtual piano on the market. The original Steinway D concert grand maybe better, but NO ONE can sampled it as good as Abbey Road Studios sampled the Yamaha CFX. I have stop buying virtual piano since i have this Garritan, its perfect. especially if you are a classical pianist. you should try.
Men, you did a fantastic job: I recently bought the Lite version of your CFX virtual piano and it's just amazing. At the moment I could not find anything more realistic and playable among virtual pianos.
probably this vst should come in the top 2 piano vsts of the world.it can beat Keyscape's C7 easily.Garritan Yamaha cfx 100 percent real sounding piano
So will it be correct to say that the setup for using the Garriton CFX is... connect computer (running the VST) to Digital Piano and take the sound output from your computer while you play your Piano?
That doesn't necessarily mean that it the worst technology. Physical modeling has yet to surpass sampling in of quality of sound. It still has quite a ways to go be as realistic in term's of quality of sound in comparison to actual acoustic piano.
Why do they always use Yamaha for vst instruments? It sounds like shit compared to Steinway. Can you name a single Grammy Award album recorded with the Yamaha grand piano? I can't.
They just sound good man, I feel Yamaha's are versatile. I don't mean to defame Steinway, I absolutely love Steinway's. But the Yamaha's just turn out better after you record em. Other studios did try to record the Steinway, and as you know, it didn't turn out well. Even Garritan had a Steinway vst, don't remember exactly which model was it. It was kind of a bummer. 2020 man, this is still the most realistic and lively sounding vst. The Kontakt vst called Noire, just released, doesn't sound as good as this one. This CFX by Garritan, ahh so beautifully done. PS: I've almost bought all vsts like Kontakts grandeur, gentleman etc, keyscape, ravenscroft and what not. But you can't really play fast runs, and even if you do, they sound like a mix of notes with reverb all over the place. But CFX is like Eminem, every word, every note, is crisp. No matter how fast you play, this is why the CFX is in the lead of all the Grands. Please don't quote me, just IMO.
2 years later ----- let us get this straight - that's if you're still around -------- do you reckon that a Yamaha CFX sounds like sh as compared with a Steinway? If your answer is 'yes', then you definitely don't know what you're talking about.
For sure ,you never sat behind a CFX . It is a gorgeous instrument. Top pianists such as Steven Hough , Maria Joao Pires have done many recordings and won tons of awards with this piano . Is the grant awards the ultimate reference for you , so maybe go on a Justin Bieber board , but don’t troll others .
I got this a couple of years ago and had my wife play moonlight sonata through it. We both had our jaws to the floor. Stunning software.

2022 and this is still the best VSTi Piano for me!
Yep, best piano library out there, still in 2020. MADE for the StudioLogic SL88 Grand.
What do you mean by, “made for SL88?”

Was hoping they would discuss which mics were ultimately chosen for the library!
Потрясающе!!!
This looks great. On another note however, how does NYC feel that Spiderman has moved to London?
Those mics!
This team should do another piano. Maybe an upright this time?
Gracias!!!
Classical yes, top notch. Absolutely. Rock? Well...
Maafa 1619 Bosendorfers sounds- middle and higher section are not even close in terms of the fulfillness
Very nice! Which microphones were used? (detailed please)
6:16 whats song?

This means to have good quality speakers, or link audio out back into your digital piano.
Can you switch to Audience perspective, rather than just player perspective ?
Yes
how many layer... they dont say
21
layers in creating a sampled instrument is old technology :)

Passionately waiting for it to get cracked.
Cheapster ;o)
Writing this comment on the official channel, i also like to live dangerously.
still waiting?
It was on January
@DrDrakub Just look for "r2r-6130" (with quotes), you should be able to find the torrent quite easily.

Wtf are you talking about? what about Elton John? he only uses Yamaha.
Yamaha pianos are nice by the way, specially the CFX
Apparently you don't what Yamaha model we are talking about. It's a CFX !
Quit the hate and get a grip dude.

Garritan, throw this rubbish out, put some Steinways there and there or August Forsters at least.
