This is a compilation video of clips from other songs , "Master Passion Greed" never been played live & never will . Its a song wrote by Tuomas & Marco when angry at there 1st singers husband & manager . They blame him for changing her and the reason the band had to let her go. Devil in the deep dark ocean & Slaying the dreamer both from Buenos Aries are heavy also
Ignore the trolls! There are a handful of them who troll reaction videos looking for any negative commentary. Apparently you’re not allowed to have an opinion if it doesn’t match theirs. Anyways, there are heavy and maybe even dark moments in quite a few Nightwish songs, but none from start to finish like this one. If you want to hear more of Marko on lead vocals, check out their live cover of Pink Floyd’s High Hopes. It’s incredible!
This is an angry song regarding the husband of the first singer who they feel controlled & ruined her, & their working relationship, which ended in them firing her when it became impossible. I think released 2005 - Floor came after 2nd singer let go in 2012.
This song does not age... Marko's vocals are great here. - If you like to be taken to a journey, try Wintersun (IMO, the best from Finland what comes to musicianship.)
No NW as hard as this, but the closest might be "Yours is an Empty Hope" and "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" (actually my two favorites, although "Greatest Show on Earth" is probably Tuomas's greatest achievement (my opinion).
My impression has always been that you’ve been enjoying NW even though not all their music is as heavy as you may be used to. So much more to experience. MPG is by far their heaviest, angriest song so you’re not going to hear more like this. They do have other heavy songs however. Keep going! 👍🤘 This song is about Tarja’s husband Marcelo who is blamed by the band for brainwashing Tarja, and changing her personality and thought processes so dramatically that the band fired her in a very public way with an open letter. (In a nutshell)
Keep being you. Give us honest reactions. This is about as hard as they go, Though there are a few other heavy ones you will like. This is the studio version, as they never performed it live. This is a fan-made video to look like a live version. This was from the first album after letting Tarja go. Anette was the lead singer on this album, but doesn’t appear on this track. It is an angry track directed at Marcelo, Tarja’s husband, whom they blame for things going sour between her and the band. Keep exploring Nightwish.
Always be honnest, I like that with reactions. I am a die hard Nightwish fan (besides trashmetal pregressivemetal etc) but hey, we do not have to like all songs. Thanks for your reaction (they have more heavy songs like this btw)
Progressive? Dark? Epic? If you haven't seen/heard Wintersun "sons of winter and stars" (sonic pump studios) you really should! That stirs you up! Great reactions!
This isn’t an offical video. Usually it’s audio only. This is Angry Nightwish. To write this song, Bye, Bye Beautiful and Poet & The Pendulum sums up a turbulent time in their history and cathartic way of releasing all emotions. NONE of them are played live anymore. (P&TP was recorded at Wembley for us to understand).
This is very clever stitched together video as this has never been played live or videoed. Moral is don't p1$$ off Tuomas !! This song is about Tarja or more precisely her husband who got greedy and pushed her to ask for more money and not turn up for rehearsals.
This song, like demo version of "The Poet and the Pendulum" was written before Anette, and it was very good they found her, because there are so many bands of gloomy dudes. And Anette is good as Anette. Of course, it is a pity they had to restrict (just slightly and not always) Marko, but otherwise Tuomas managed to get out of Anette as much as possible, and I believe that, for example "Storytime" and "Scaretale" are Anette's songs. Floor has better voice, and maybe that is why she did not do as well. As to the Tarja's songs : "I wish I had an angel" is certainly one of them. Maybo Floor does not have enough bitchiness for it.
This song is an "ode" to the husband of their first singer Tarja. Marcello. He is also her manager and forbid her to go to the USA with the band, because of too less fans, small venues and not profitable. NW always wants to perform everywhere, also for smaller crowds. He wanted her to have her own tourbus, she did not rehearse anymore for years...he had a terrible influence on Tarja. Nightwish really hates this guy, greedy MF. So this is for him ;) Just read the lyrics....wow
Floor will never have to sing this live, because not only are she and Tarja friends (Tarja is irrelevant in this, as the song is directed at Marcelo), but there isn't even a female vocal in this song (except for in the choir). This song was recorded before Anette was even in the band.
The decision to never play this live was made early on. But it was a cathartic experience, and allowed the band to vent the emotions of that moment in time.
Yep, I agree, James Bond....descending into madness...Love it!

Where does this "Tuomas & Marko" come from? I keep seeing this in comments, but it's not correct. This song was written by Tuomas alone.

Slaying the dreamer and Whoever brings the night are heavier NW songs too.
Agree about Slaying the Dreamer. End of an Era...live!!
This one is one of my fav's...

Slaying the dreamer is heavy to me too 🤟
Planet hell, Pan, Tribal...

Check Out "shudder before beautiful" and "yours is an empty Hope"

Your reactions are fun...Don't feed the trolls brah~!
Have you done Bye Bye Beautiful? That's the sequel to Master Passion Greed.
No I havent…ill add it to the list
I recommend slaying the dreamer live in Buenos Aires Argentina by nightwish or the devil and the deep dark ocean
My devil in the deep dark ocean reaction is coming soon
This is a studio recording that has been added to the live shots. Before Floor. Marko takes the lead on several songs. Sometimes sharing lead vocals.
Slaying the dreamer is groovy heavy, must remind you of Pantera and some other epic groovy riffs in other songs remind me Messhugah for instance.

"...such a perfect blend of dark metal and the operaness...!
Great reaction dude! Liked your comment about the bells & looking forward to DATDDO
NW has very few actual music videos. Almost all their stuff is live or lyric videos. This has never been performed live and it never will.
Before Floor of course, just after Tarja left (thats what it's about).
Post Floor, try Yours Is an Empty Hope from Wembley 2015.
The lesson of this is - never make Tuomas angry - he will hit you - with a song! Just ask Tarja (Bye bye beautiful)
This is very clever stitched together video as this has never been played live or videoed. Moral is don't p1$$ off Tuomas !! This song is about Tarja or more precisely her husband who got greedy and pushed her to ask for more money and not turn up for rehearsals.
Hey hater's hate. NightWish song Noise. Would fit that comment. Keep it up

Floor will never sing this live, because she is friends with Tarja! Same goes for "Bye Bye Beautiful"

The sunglasses relate to Marko's interest in UFOS and aliens
