- In June 1966 the 174th (Sharks) Assault Helicopter Company asked the WWII Flying Tigers for permission to use their shark-mouth paint scheme and it was granted. UH-1C 66-15045 received the shark-mouth as well as the name Easy Rider, after the movie of the same name. On November 23, 1970 while flying an overnight mission, at low altitudes and in a mist the tail rotor struck trees which brought the copter down. Everyone on board survived. In 1971 the 174th ceased operations in Vietnam. Later UH-1M 66-15242 assumed the name Easy Rider.

It is a great build from HM, and the Huey is such an iconic chopper!! I'm the same, we actually have those that fly around here occasionally too, haha. I'm the same, you hear that sound, and you drop what you're doing and go outside to enjoy the music!! 🙂

Beautiful aircraft for sure, but I definitely hear what you're saying about the price of some of Hobby Masters models, I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet but I'm sure it's going to hurt my wallet 😂 Great video man keep up the awesome content!
It is a great model, but yeah the price for such a small one from Hobby Master can be a little hard to buy. I managed to snare this one for around $115.00AUD delivered off Amazon. But they normally are around the price of larger models. Was the same with their AH-64 models. Once you start getting into the more expensive brands your wallet will start to take a serious beating,haha. Thanks for checking out the video!!
