I feel like nahida is still pretty meta. Most abysses lately have had a lot of success from hyperbloom teams…especially Alhaitham hyperbloom. I feel like the only time it’s ever really countered is when you have those Dendro res enemies but even those enemies aren’t really a threat to hyperbloom variants with electro drivers like Cyno or even just Aggravate. Yeah she hasn’t received much support but does she really need it? She was already an insane character and idk if she’s a character that requires more than she already had.

its all relative bro she used to be like this best thing in the game 2 years ago, now ,while she is still pretty good, we have many more ways of far surpassing the kind of output Nahida and her teams in general provide, so naturally people prioritise her less.
I think Nahida's specialty now is she can produce an easy to build second team stack a bunch of EM on a driver and go for it. Many of the new DPS characters take time and investment and specific stats that aren't always easy cause you know RNG. I have much stronger choices but will always put my quick-bloom team on one side it's a strong and comfort team for me. As for grind and RNG my Neuvillette is for sure the stronger choice but couple months of grinding still don't have the HP CR/CD spread to make him broken
Alhaitham hyperbloom and nahida teams in general suffer in multiwave abyss and i say this as an alhaitham main , also nahida team simply doesn't deals as much DPS as Neuvellite navia arlechino kinich mualani hu tao etc
So we save. I risked a 50/50 with kinich but then got him after i lost cause i was desperate for his exploration. Then risked Xilonen for like 35 wishes (half of soft pityish) but didn't get her.
I'm not falling for it. Mavuika will be busted. I'm f2p and don't have Nahida who I need badly but I'm skipping to have enough primos for mavui, Neuvi and Arle. Then I can finally 36 star the abyss
Nahida's Value for F2P players cannot be understated. I mean, after looking at people's spreadsheets, I've been using the 3-star Magic Guide on her. It was an *easy* R5. Passive works off-field. If you miss Floating dreams, it's okay, you already have a good weapon for her.
I played her Story quest and her bloom generation is enough to retire my two dendro chars. Now this frees up the 4th slot for anyone I like. Sucks about Neuv but I'm already starving for new units for like 2 months and counting.
i think we are being a bit unfair here. it's not that arlechinno teams don't require require furina, it's that she literally doesn't function with furina; that's not a positive, it'sthe opposite

So you can make that same argument for Hu Tao's best teams not needing Bennett, despite that she can work with him if you wanted to so it still isn't a plus that Arlecchino can't use Furina. At least if Hu Tao takes my Furina and Yelan I still have Xingqiu, there's so many teams I just straight up can't play while Arlecchino has Bennett. I can still do hyperbloom, electrocharged, nilou bloom, pretty much anything requiring hydro but when bennett is gone there goes international, majority of hyper carry teams, wanderer, navia, mono pyro or lyney, burning, chevreuse, this is much more crippling. The only other place I would normally use furina is with Neuvillette and he can handle himself just fine without her.
One thing I noticed about all of the genshin content creators is that no one really acknowledges that 5.0 brought ALOT of new players. So we really don't have alot of characters. This banner is a new player must pull in all honesty
I started a few weeks ago. I chose Diluc as my main dps that I got at the end of 5.0... XQ is obviously nice to get from the Nahida banner but I've read that Nahida doesn't synergize with Diluc very well... Do I save for Mavuika who is the pyro archon and may fit my existing main better? Or is pulling for the hyper bloom team worth missing Mavuika?

I'm a firm believer that there will be a hyperbloom hypercarry somewhere that will take my c2 nahida to even greater heights just like how xilonen took my c1 neuv furina kazuha team

If we’re talking single target, Hu Tao is still the best dps in the game. If we’re not, she’s still top tier, only just below Neuv, Arle, Alhaitham and MAYBE Mualani. And if you have Cloud Retainer, you don’t have to worry about her C1 whatsoever (But she’s still one of the best dps without c1). Also, if Nahida isn’t a must pull, then NO ONE is a must pull. She’s still a game changingly strong character. Just because Arlecchino and Kinich’s BiS teams don’t include her doesn’t suddenly mean she isn’t still incredibly strong and versatile, and very much still “meta”.
Right? I feel like the power of Dendro & Hyperbloom is being wildly downplayed here. Hyperbloom takes half the investment to perform comparably to most BiS teams.
Saying hu tao isnt meta was a wild take, hu tao has continually gotten buffs and can easily be ran without the supports arlecchino wants (ex: doesnt need bennett) people saying she got powercrept probably play her wrong and dont optimize her but choose to mash left click with arlecchino instead
As a top 1% C1 Hu Tao owner that knows how to play her, I definitely agree with his take that Hu Tao has been powercrept, and I absolutely disagree with the idea that Hu Tao is the best single target damage dealer. She's still a great damage dealer of course but Arlecchino is definitely a shade better in terms of pyro DPS, and neuvillette outclasses both. By constantly trying to prop up Hu Tao as "the best", all it does is hurt newer players that are on the fence about deciding what to pull.

Hyperbloom is still broken. It's still the easiest, cheapest and fastest way to 36* the Abyss. And Nahida is still broken and outside Arle, Mualani, Kinich/Emilie, geo and anemo will buff your characters if you decide to use them in a dendro related reaction.
They have everything... that I don't need anymore 😂(I have C2 Nahida, C1R1 Hu Tao, C6 Xingqiu I don't even use anymore and C6 Kuki; don't really care about Sethos because I already have several Electro on-fielders built). The only thing I might be considering is Nahida's signature, but most likely just skipping. But yeah, great banners for newer players.
I’m so glad i decided to start genshin impact a couple weeks ago and save my pulls. Nahida was already crazy but getting amazing four stars on top of that is insane!
It's so annoying when the banners you want/need to pull on are trash but the banners you can't really afford to pull on for luxury (Nahida cons would be cool but I'm F2P and still in need of a few account staples like Zhongli) are super sick. I don't have C2 Kuki, and I want C2 Kuki, but I'm not sure I can risk a few cheeky pulls on this, considering I'd like to get Chasca and Ororon but I'm not sure I can do more than try a 50/50 on her.
Wanted him cause he's fun but needs cons to be competent. An annoyingly inefficient banner for older players wanting to build the newer unit yet again, considering what's on the horizon and the likelihood they already have these other historically great units.
if i were a new player, and this banner shows up. It would be a god-send (pun not intended). Hyperbloom only gets out DPS by other team architypes very late into the game, where you have over 200cv on artifacts, good weapons, ideal supports (like c6 faruzan) etc. My crowned kinich not in his sig set and weapon, without emilie or furina deals so much less DPS than my hyperbloom kuki who has minimal level talents and just stacked EM (fundamentally zero cv artifacts). it's actually a bit sad and funny at the same time.
What we need is Iansan to be a subdps like yaemiko that buffs spread and aggrevate like chevrues but a 5 star with 5 star damage. To run Tighnari iansan fischl nahida proto amber 😊

Hyperbllom would gain a massive boost in stocks if mihoyo decided to release a 5 star electro Kuki who specifically works in the Hyperbloom nieche. Maybe increas the damage of hyperbloom or ability to increas max hyperbloom cores.
Man I'm really torn on getting Hu Tao. I've always liked her as a character, but for years I've never had the...Urge to get her. I never really needed a Pyro DPS (was satisfied using supports like Xingling, Thoma and Benny) and I didn't have fun when I tested her or played her on friends' accounts. It's not her fault either- the only Pyro DPS I have enjoyed is Arlecchino (I don't even have Yoimiya and Lyney for the same reason- I didn't have fun with them when testing). ...I may skip her again. Likely I'm just going to focus on getting C2 for my Nahida...

YAYY considering i'm pulling for nahida c-2 for Tighnari, and kuki is c-3 and xq is c-4 I’m very happy with these banners... of course beidou would have been cherry on top but this is awesome! For me. the biggest drawback to Hu Tao is the fact that the Pyro Archon is coming soon. I'm saving my wishes for Mauvika. I sure hope my patience pays off, because it's hard to look at 100+ fates and NOT pull for characters.
I pulled for Hu Tao on her release and I hope I can finally have her C1... I notice how Arlechino is just stronger and easier to use than her, but still, I think she's a very fun character to play and she's not benched in my account anyways, I use her frequently. Also, I play Nahida, Niluo, Kokomi, Kollei/Kiara frequently, and it's my team of comfort for the most part, It just obliterates groups if they don't have shields and all of that.
I was always set to making Nahida my first C6 5 star but now I'm concentrating on my Natlan team and saving for Pyro archon. My Nahida is currently C4.
I like Jello because he actually does testing. But I feel he has a really bad amount recency bias. NO one is too overpowered (except maybe Neuvillete) But the way he says Xilonen Furina Chlorinde Arlecchino etc. are too good and Powercreep is just not true. Account value and Characters are HUGELY variant. And Nahida is 1000% still a Tier 0 character. Abyss is NEVER the meta as it changes always.
Reminder to all the semantics people out there. “Meta” in this context refers to what is objectively the best tactic to 36 star the abyss as fast as possible. In that sense, Hu Tao is not ‘Meta’ anymore, because she is not mathematically best anymore.
You can't simulate c0 Hu tao with c1 Hu tao by only skipping the jump cancels. C1 can be a dps increase for other factors. With c0 Hu tao you can only get back 200/240 stamina on your 2nd rotation and onward because the cooldown is faster than you can recover stamina so shorter tighter rotations will result in extra 1-2 charge attacks from c1

These banners are automatic skips for me. I already have Hu Tao and still don't intend on getting Nahida. As for the 4* units, I don't care about Sethos, and even though Xingqiu and Shinobu cons are nice on paper, the last thing I want is for Hu Tao or Nahida to randomly appear and ruin my plans to get Chasca and Mavuika, who are top priority for me.

This is the perfect banner. It has characters that are perfect for new players and simultaneously an easy skip for me (owns all them already) so I can save for Iansan and Mavuika
Hu Tao might not be a top meta DPS, but she is still a good pyro applicator for Mualani! Also, if they're gonna add a unit to re-elevate hyperbloom, I think it might unfortunately have to be a hydro character, or just directly powercreep either Nahida, Kuki, or Alhaitham, with Kuki and Haitham probably being more likely. And I can see why they might be reluctant to do this, bc I don't think a direct powercreep of a specific character is healthy, and the alternative is just making Hydro potentially even more broken than it already is. Like, I'm thinking an Ororon-style unit could potentially be a sidegrade to Kuki, where they specifically buff hyperbloom damage instead of benefitting from an EM build. And whether that's an electro unit that straight up replaces Kuki, a DPS to dethrone Alhaitham, or a hydro unit is anybody's guess. It would be cool if they were a 4 star, but I could see Hoyo selling this type of unit as a "premium edition" of the F2P standard hyperbloom.

I just started playing in 5.1 because I saw the trailers for xilonen and wanted to try the game out. This banner with Nahida looks really really helpful because I dont have Kuki or Xingqui yet. I was not going to prioritize Nahida but now with those 4 stars I feel like the value is way higher. Thanks for all the content you make its been very helpful getting into the game.
I was gonna try my luck on the homa banner(as I do everytime it's on rate up I'm 0 for 3 right now) but seeing the dragon's bane for the millionth time and the fact that it's not as universal as it used to be I think I'm gonna skip it hoping arlecchino reruns on 5.2 to get her weapon instead
Hu Tao is definitely still meta, she's just not a top 3 DPS anymore. I'd argue she's on a similar level to characters like Lyney or Clorinde which is wild considering she's a 1.x character. Very hard for her to get truly powercrept considering she relies on game mechanics for damage and benefits from most stats (HP, ATK, EM, Crit). Unless they make another Pyro Polearm Charge Attack DPS with a significantly higher Charge Attack multiplier or that increases Vape DMG I think she'll keep her niche for a while to come.

I have c2 for both characters (Hu tao c1&2 came together) and I really do want Nahidas weapon but I don’t have many pulls right now. I think I’m going to save my guarantee for Mavuika at this point. I was going to get Neuvillette c1 but since I run him with Zhongli I think it’ll be fine

Nahida's Value for F2P players cannot be understated. I mean, after looking at people's spreadsheets, I've been using the 3-star Magic Guide on her. It was an *easy* R5. Passive works off-field. If you miss Floating dreams, it's okay, you already have a good weapon for her.
I played her Story quest and her bloom generation is enough to retire my two dendro chars. Now this frees up the 4th slot for anyone I like.
Sucks about Neuv but I'm already starving for new units for like 2 months and counting.
i think we are being a bit unfair here. it's not that arlechinno teams don't require require furina, it's that she literally doesn't function with furina; that's not a positive, it'sthe opposite
While Arle might miss out in Furina, at least her best teams don't have her, so you can use Furina on the other side as freely as you want

So you can make that same argument for Hu Tao's best teams not needing Bennett, despite that she can work with him if you wanted to so it still isn't a plus that Arlecchino can't use Furina. At least if Hu Tao takes my Furina and Yelan I still have Xingqiu, there's so many teams I just straight up can't play while Arlecchino has Bennett. I can still do hyperbloom, electrocharged, nilou bloom, pretty much anything requiring hydro but when bennett is gone there goes international, majority of hyper carry teams, wanderer, navia, mono pyro or lyney, burning, chevreuse, this is much more crippling. The only other place I would normally use furina is with Neuvillette and he can handle himself just fine without her.
One thing I noticed about all of the genshin content creators is that no one really acknowledges that 5.0 brought ALOT of new players. So we really don't have alot of characters. This banner is a new player must pull in all honesty
I started a few weeks ago. I chose Diluc as my main dps that I got at the end of 5.0... XQ is obviously nice to get from the Nahida banner but I've read that Nahida doesn't synergize with Diluc very well... Do I save for Mavuika who is the pyro archon and may fit my existing main better? Or is pulling for the hyper bloom team worth missing Mavuika?

If we’re talking single target, Hu Tao is still the best dps in the game. If we’re not, she’s still top tier, only just below Neuv, Arle, Alhaitham and MAYBE Mualani. And if you have Cloud Retainer, you don’t have to worry about her C1 whatsoever (But she’s still one of the best dps without c1).
Also, if Nahida isn’t a must pull, then NO ONE is a must pull. She’s still a game changingly strong character. Just because Arlecchino and Kinich’s BiS teams don’t include her doesn’t suddenly mean she isn’t still incredibly strong and versatile, and very much still “meta”.
Right? I feel like the power of Dendro & Hyperbloom is being wildly downplayed here. Hyperbloom takes half the investment to perform comparably to most BiS teams.
Saying hu tao isnt meta was a wild take, hu tao has continually gotten buffs and can easily be ran without the supports arlecchino wants (ex: doesnt need bennett)

As a top 1% C1 Hu Tao owner that knows how to play her, I definitely agree with his take that Hu Tao has been powercrept, and I absolutely disagree with the idea that Hu Tao is the best single target damage dealer. She's still a great damage dealer of course but Arlecchino is definitely a shade better in terms of pyro DPS, and neuvillette outclasses both.
By constantly trying to prop up Hu Tao as "the best", all it does is hurt newer players that are on the fence about deciding what to pull.

Hyperbloom is still broken. It's still the easiest, cheapest and fastest way to 36* the Abyss. And Nahida is still broken and outside Arle, Mualani, Kinich/Emilie, geo and anemo will buff your characters if you decide to use them in a dendro related reaction.

It's so annoying when the banners you want/need to pull on are trash but the banners you can't really afford to pull on for luxury (Nahida cons would be cool but I'm F2P and still in need of a few account staples like Zhongli) are super sick. I don't have C2 Kuki, and I want C2 Kuki, but I'm not sure I can risk a few cheeky pulls on this, considering I'd like to get Chasca and Ororon but I'm not sure I can do more than try a 50/50 on her.

An annoyingly inefficient banner for older players wanting to build the newer unit yet again, considering what's on the horizon and the likelihood they already have these other historically great units.
if i were a new player, and this banner shows up. It would be a god-send (pun not intended).
Hyperbloom only gets out DPS by other team architypes very late into the game, where you have over 200cv on artifacts, good weapons, ideal supports (like c6 faruzan) etc.
My crowned kinich not in his sig set and weapon, without emilie or furina deals so much less DPS than my hyperbloom kuki who has minimal level talents and just stacked EM (fundamentally zero cv artifacts). it's actually a bit sad and funny at the same time.
I'm pulling for C1 HuTao and hoping to get c4 Kuki along the way. I really don't care for Arle being "higher dps", HuTao is waifu material.

Man I'm really torn on getting Hu Tao. I've always liked her as a character, but for years I've never had the...Urge to get her. I never really needed a Pyro DPS (was satisfied using supports like Xingling, Thoma and Benny) and I didn't have fun when I tested her or played her on friends' accounts. It's not her fault either- the only Pyro DPS I have enjoyed is Arlecchino (I don't even have Yoimiya and Lyney for the same reason- I didn't have fun with them when testing).
...I may skip her again. Likely I'm just going to focus on getting C2 for my Nahida...

I pulled for Hu Tao on her release and I hope I can finally have her C1... I notice how Arlechino is just stronger and easier to use than her, but still, I think she's a very fun character to play and she's not benched in my account anyways, I use her frequently.
Also, I play Nahida, Niluo, Kokomi, Kollei/Kiara frequently, and it's my team of comfort for the most part, It just obliterates groups if they don't have shields and all of that.
I already almost finished prefarming for nahida (that includes artifacts as well) I hope ill get atleast one copy 😂

Abyss is NEVER the meta as it changes always.
Reminder to all the semantics people out there. “Meta” in this context refers to what is objectively the best tactic to 36 star the abyss as fast as possible. In that sense, Hu Tao is not ‘Meta’ anymore, because she is not mathematically best anymore.
You can't simulate c0 Hu tao with c1 Hu tao by only skipping the jump cancels. C1 can be a dps increase for other factors. With c0 Hu tao you can only get back 200/240 stamina on your 2nd rotation and onward because the cooldown is faster than you can recover stamina so shorter tighter rotations will result in extra 1-2 charge attacks from c1

These banners are automatic skips for me. I already have Hu Tao and still don't intend on getting Nahida. As for the 4* units, I don't care about Sethos, and even though Xingqiu and Shinobu cons are nice on paper, the last thing I want is for Hu Tao or Nahida to randomly appear and ruin my plans to get Chasca and Mavuika, who are top priority for me.

Hu Tao might not be a top meta DPS, but she is still a good pyro applicator for Mualani! Also, if they're gonna add a unit to re-elevate hyperbloom, I think it might unfortunately have to be a hydro character, or just directly powercreep either Nahida, Kuki, or Alhaitham, with Kuki and Haitham probably being more likely. And I can see why they might be reluctant to do this, bc I don't think a direct powercreep of a specific character is healthy, and the alternative is just making Hydro potentially even more broken than it already is. Like, I'm thinking an Ororon-style unit could potentially be a sidegrade to Kuki, where they specifically buff hyperbloom damage instead of benefitting from an EM build. And whether that's an electro unit that straight up replaces Kuki, a DPS to dethrone Alhaitham, or a hydro unit is anybody's guess. It would be cool if they were a 4 star, but I could see Hoyo selling this type of unit as a "premium edition" of the F2P standard hyperbloom.

Hu Tao is definitely still meta, she's just not a top 3 DPS anymore. I'd argue she's on a similar level to characters like Lyney or Clorinde which is wild considering she's a 1.x character. Very hard for her to get truly powercrept considering she relies on game mechanics for damage and benefits from most stats (HP, ATK, EM, Crit). Unless they make another Pyro Polearm Charge Attack DPS with a significantly higher Charge Attack multiplier or that increases Vape DMG I think she'll keep her niche for a while to come.
