Watching your White Plume Mountain videos brought me back to playing it as my first D&D adventure in 1979; I'm a diehard D&D player, but it's great to play something modern to keep things fresh and exiting. I'm definitely interested in backing this, best of luck!
Backer here, I love that the book is written and read for print. I was happy to back it day one knowing how much care you already put in and how much I will get out of the game and have gotten out your content here on RUclips. Thank you and best of luck with the rest of the Kickstarter.
In my teen years I played a lot of different TTRPGs - DND, Gamma World, Boot Hill, Traveller, Twilight 2000, Paranoia, you name it. I'm 55 now and I exclusively play DND on DND Beyond because the site handles all the tedious math, remembers modifiers, etc. and allows me to concentrate on having fun. I have had friends try to get me to play other systems and I just don't have the mental energy to take it on. However, I am 100% intrigued by Neon Skies. The rules light approach, the clever way you represent vehicle combat and the abstract concept of hacking are all very well done and seem easy to grasp. I plan on purchasing the book(s) and seeing what I can do to build a party. Congrats on a job well done and I wish you all the best with this endeavor.
I have mostly been a fantasy guy, primarily based on the aesthetics and my exposure to it at a very young age. As a maker of terrain, I tend to stick with fantasy, though that's also dictated by hand control - my hands constantly shake, and that hides so much easier in fantasy where things are rougher than in sci-fi where the look tends to demand straighter crisper detail. However, I am curious about your system, and will look to see if I can add it to my source library for my terrain shop. Nothing but great success to you with it, sir.
I fell in love with cyberpunk when Edgerunners released. When I saw your video announcing the kickstarter I was overjoyed that someone had addressed the lack of good sci-fi roleplay systems. Instant back on KS. Thanks for the effort!
The video worked, I went and looked at the page. Which I really rarely do! I'm gonna back for the PDF when I get some stuff sorted. You're one of the best hobby guys on RUclips, and I think we have pretty compatible taste in games. Anyway I owe you big time for introducing me to Grimdark Future, totally revitalised my wargaming hobby.
This is super cool, the book looks beautiful and some really creative game design elements from what I can see. Definitely going to back this and try it out.
I don't know if I want to run a cyber punk setting, but I DO know I like supporting good creators, and that regardless having this book will mean inspiration, ideas, and mechanics I can steal for other games no matter what!
Been following your channel for a while now, and it's great seeing all of this come to fruition and seeing all your hard work pay off! Wishing you all the best with the Kickstarter!
This is amazing! I am absolutely inspired to get back to writing my own sci-fi campaign setting. Until then, I'm glad I found this video and kickstarter!
I was so excited when I got notified your project went live! Went and backed immediately! I even left a couple comments on your last vid to try to, I don't know, boost engagement on it or something. Prime that algorithm pump. I wish I had some kind of following somewhere where I could spread the word on this, I want you to succeed!
Thanks for the video! Not a cyberpunk guy, myself, but it might interest you to know that Michael Pondsmith won the annual Gary Gygax Lifetime Achievement Award at Gary Con XVI this last March. Maximum Mike, FTW!
I love your D&D content, it's fantastic, but it was actually your sci-fi and more importantly 40k scenery builds that initially drew me to your channel so i'm all about seeing you focus on some different game systems, especially if one of those is your own system!
I'm actually looking for new systems to run at my tables. I've only been playing D&D for maybe 3 years, but with everything going on at WotC, I'm trying to branch out to some other systems once my parties D&D campaigns are over. I'll definitely be giving this a look.
I am excited to see your new Neon Skies cyberpunk terrain builds. I am a big Star Wars guy, and I found the cyberpunk genre can easily be converted to represent cities in my Star Wars terrain. I really want to see what you build for this.
Sweet! Been following the progression of this game with the different draft versions. I must have totally missed the Kickstarter launch! Going to go back it right now! Always have loved your channel. Nine years already!? Jeebus!
Play cyberpunk back in the early 90s while I was in the Navy playing a futuristic industrial game like that in an industrial setting awesome favorite character, he’s only weapons were a knife and a grenade
@@WylochsArmory Your video about the game from 4 weeks ago got recommended to me on RUclips. I back a lot of games on KS/GF and watch a lot of board game & related content.
Your own System ... Very nice. I have to look at it. I want to make my own ruleset, but make it "Open Source" or "Creative Commons" so there is something people could improve on. And easy to get into Skirmish Games without missing too much. You could argue there is plenty out there already ... Which there is, but, yeah... No but, there is plenty out there already, but I want to do it anyway :D LOL
The one-for-one you mentioned reminds me of my gut-reaction to Hacking in Reality's Edge, wherein it felt like they integrated the hacks by treating them (mechanically) like spells in other games.
Though I generally prefer my sci-fi either more post-apocalyptic or space-y, cyberpunk at its most fun for me is like a nice middle-ground. I've enjoyed your videos on Neon Sky, and will keep watching them. :)
EXCUSE ME SIR. Did you just insinuate I wouldn't back a project for a creator that I enjoy the work of? So much so that I ended my sentence on a preposition? First of all how dare you, and second of all I need this book. No, I don't have a problem with backing kickstarters, why do you ask? EDIT: there's a Four-Fold Admin screen and a folding admin screen in the additionals. Are they different? EDIT EDIT: I was only able to go for the Four-Fold screen, so that's what I've done. 34 days to go. Even if it fails on the kickstarters, I'll look to buy the book. The setting alone looks very interesting.
Good luck with the KS campaign - looks like an awesome project/product! I LOVELOVELOVE that you've employed real human artists, and I also love that your worldbuilding looks to have diverged sufficiently from "it's just Neuromancer" to be its own thing. Not sure if I'll be able to support financially*, but will definitely share to my network of nerds. I'm doing MY part! * this is mostly due to the price of food. Also the cyberpunk genre feels about 18 times less cool than it did 30+ years back (it's a Chrome place to visit chummer, but you wouldn't wanna live there) - although the KS page promises "less grit" so I'm still intrigued! Also also, I find the rules of backgammon too crunchy these days so the rare occasions I play an RPG tend to be more like zero-prep, zero-rules improv theatre sessions.
Ya, Cyberpunk is cool. Spelljammer is a hybrid, basically, you apply a lot of permanency spells onto ships and take advantage of DnD physics where you bring a pocket of air with you to space, there's a lot of lore about it, it's pretty cool too. Dark Sun is also fantastically unique and interesting as well, spells destroy the world and tyrants evolve into dragons, a lot of heat, little water, and silt seas, it's really amazing!
I personally think you shouldn't let other people's disinterest in the Cyberpunk genre persuade you to defend your interest in it. I love fantasy and sci-fi, watching you talk and create things for both genres is why I subbed and look out for new videos from you. Thanks for the content you provide, and best of luck kickstarting Neon Skies. I pledged myself to the cause. :)
Have RP'd since the 80's. Tried Shadowrun in the 90's. Love the world. Not a big fan of the rules. Currently a DM for a SR5e campaign. Really looking forward to your take on the concept. Cheers.
Looks really good. Backed after seeing on dungeon craft. Been looking for the same things but it's either too crunchy or not enough crunch. Looks like you found a good balance
Great game! Professor DM, Dungeoncraft.
"William Buchanan"? He's not called "Wyloch"?! 😮
I love anything dystopian future more than any other setting. Cyberpunk and Post-Apocalyptic are my favorites.
Please don't apologize for creating cool stuff! This setting is so rad, and we can all tell you put your heart into it. That's awesome
🎵 A wholllle new worllllld 🎵
"Magic or technology?" Shadowrun: "Yes"
Man. Magic. Machine. Forgot the rest of the tagline.
Beautiful work, love that its done and human made. Good luck mate!
I love all Wyloch's videos!

Ironically i love 20th century settings
Looking forward to see what Neon Skies is all about!
I have already backed this project! Good luck with the campaign.
Personally I find the idea of cybernetics to be an abomination, but I'm still gonna back this project as I support all my bros in the community.
Praise the Omnissiah!
Been looking forward to this the moment you first mentioned it! Everything looks amazing so far, can't wait!
Also backed, and can't wait to get my grubby nerd paws on this beautiful tome

Always looking for new game play Genres. Keep it up love what you do

I was where you are 25 years ago (more or less), then I was shown Shadowrun by a really good game master. It was an amazing experience. 😎🍷
More of those cool terrain videos for scifi/cyberpunk are interesting even without Neon Skies, so I for one will welcome them!

Totally relate to everything you stated. Heading to KS now…
Im in, and I’m pumped!
My cousin Jeff got me into dnd when I was a kid too, that practically makes us brothers.
Awesome!!! Cyberpunk is sweet. I played Torg and d6 Star Wars back in the day! Keep making such great content!!!
Promote this harder mate! You've done such a beautiful job!
Any suggestions how? (Already been doing ads on FB and YT)
@@WylochsArmory More youtube videos!
You are awesome man! You've done this all the right way and i love it!
I am excited to see your new Neon Skies cyberpunk terrain builds. I am a big Star Wars guy, and I found the cyberpunk genre can easily be converted to represent cities in my Star Wars terrain. I really want to see what you build for this.
Excited to receive my copy of the book 😊 looking forward to all your new videos as well, no matter the setting or topic!
Backed in the first 5 mins you dropped. Ready to go!!! Good luck Bill you are my fave creator on RUclips and have been for a long while now 😊
Thank you!
Got an email about this game and I backed it. Looks like a good one and I hope you make it.
Backed with the 5 book bundle! Looking forward to running this with my group!

I love your content, and I love cyberpunk. We have logged over 103 episodes of cyberpunk. Keep up the good work
I love any stuff you post 😉
Shadowrun baby: Cyberpunk with dragons, magic and everything!
Looks cool, can't wait to check it out!
I LOVE cyberpunk! And I could really do with some inspiration for my own terrain for that style.
This is the most genuine, authentic pitch I have ever heard. Thank you. I will back the kickstarter even if I never play the game.
I hopped in. I don't even TTRPG but I like rule books for some reason. Plus since it's a Wyloch creation it's guaranteed to be bullshit free.
It’s the only time I hate living in Canada. I’m sooooo interested in this! I know you will do well with Neon Skies.
I will have to check it out. My only concern is finding people in the area to play it. D&D is fine, no one wants to try anything new.
Good luck man, the game & book look amazing! I hadn’t heard of you until this campaign but I think you did a great job with this.
May I ask, how did you find me? I am trying to optimize my ad campaign....

I'm obsessed with cyberpunk
I started playing in the 90s. I have played it all. After all these years, cyberpunk has survived the culling 👍

Thanks! They are identical. It was duplicate listing issue, I'm working on it with KS. But you pledged correctly.
Im interested in whatever you produce to be honest. Ill never build a thing, or play a game. But your videos keep me gripped. So. Im excited
I like it all and I will be supporting you and buying your book when and if it becomes available. I do NOT mire myself with kick starters . 🤘🤖🤘
Just as courtesy a heads up, it will be more expensive at retail, compared to the KS.
I have been waiting for a good cyberpunk TTRPG game. You sir, have been backed.
So... we doing cyberpunk stuff now... I'm in! I feel the same about the 2 genres; they map well.
I almost didn't recognize you, you weren't drinking a beer at the beginning of the video. ;) Seriously: Great work, love your videos. I'm a backer.
Most excellent!

I love me some cyberpunk but agree that most of it is flavorful but overly crunchy.
It's worth a look.
Do it do it for it!

Been following you for a while now. Maybe you remember by "subsequent" comment a few years ago haha. Anyway, backed!
That does clear a cobweb. Wow
Looking forward to seeing the sci-fi terrain. 40k player here!
In the meantime, I got lots of 40k type stuff in my video backlog
I am interested in cyberpunk. And steampunk. And gothic stuff. But most people tend towards being lazy.
its less im not interested, and more i already have like 20 books for 2020 that do everything im interested id. so im already set on cyberpunk RPG's
