The guy isn't quite right about "I think therefore I am" Descartes postulated that if you systematically stripped beliefs about which there was any uncertainty, eventually you would only be left with the knowledge that the only thing you can be sure about is that you are thinking, which is therefore the characteristic that defines your experience and identity.
