  • The richest king of his time, who indulged to extremes in pleasure, intellectual pursuits and creative skills, and who kept 700 wives - Solomon - eventually found a godless life futile and turned to the Lord. Here is his experience and his appeal to all for conversion.
    06:44 Comparing a funeral to a birth
09:55 We must seek to find acceptance with God
    12:08 What is life?
12:30 A believer's death is better than their birth
15:18 A funeral speaks of the reality of life
18:26 A funeral will make you think deeply on spiritual matters
21:04 Having serious moments of reflection about life is productive
    24:12 God's way of salvation
27:32 The gospel message is an appeal and warming to us
29:28 The laughter of fools is short-lived
'A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.' (Ecclesiastes chapter 7 verse 1)

What hymn tune is being used for the Lord's Prayer 🙏? In 40 years being a music minister, I'm not aquaited with the tune at all.

The tune is "Sefton Park", written by a Welsh clergyman, Alun Williams, in the mid-twentieth century. It is quite an obscure tune. It appears in a Welsh hymnbook and also in the tune book used at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Psalms and Hymns of Reformed Worship.
