On the rare occasion that Vacuum Wars does a sponsored video or receives a product from a manufacturer to review, we will be clear about that in the video. otherwise, if nothing was mentioned, then this was an unsponsored review.

I just bought this 2 weeks ago.... love love love ! Lift away feature is very convenient. Great for cleaning stairs. I feel that the suction is still powerful when using accessory attachments. Pretty easy to guide on carpets. The swivel action took me some time to get used to. U had a very old vacuum before this that didnt swivel. The led lights help u see small debris. Looks like easy maintenance. But haven't had long enough. Canister is a little small. But helps with the lightweight design. The smaller head also is better for storage. So far, no complaints.
One thing I don't thing you mentioned, but I just discovered, is that you can use the main motorized head without the long wand. Total game changer on stairs!
I do so many times
Just purchased the 810 model and it is the BEST vacuum cleaner I have used. Thanks for the review.
I just got a UV 810 as well and I can honestly say I have never been more impressed with any piece of equipment I’ve ever purchased this thing is awesome
I just bought this vacuum and I hope I love it like the reviews I've seen.
you said "hard floor" stops the front brush from spinning. Is that correct? Also, is there a way to stop BOTH brushes from spinning and only use suction? thanks for your help! LOVE your channel
I know I am comparing apples to oranges but I wondered since you have access to both is the Dyson V11 better or just as good as a great corded upright such as this one? Or is it just money spent for cordless convenience with less suction?
Loving it!!
Just curious. Why was the CFM skipped on this model?
Does the Apex Uplift is about the same price point and comes with Zero-M. Would you say the Apex Uplift is better value?
I love mine for the kitchen floor.
Model HV302 26 - how so you remove the dust bin from the motor housing?
Shark seems to have discontinued these models. Can you tell which replaced them?
All the newer models seem to be double the price of these.
I bought my first Shark about 6 months ago and love it. It's the Rotator Pet Professional. It was a refurb and Ollie's for $124 and didn't come with all the accessories but it works great. Of course when the Duo Cleans come out with the reforbs, I'll get one of those.
You can usually find new ones on Ebay for about Refurb prices, especially the 800 series NV801, NV802, NV800
Thanks, I check it out.
What is the difference between the NV803 and the NV771?
At 1:42 you say that on bare floor mode, the brush does not spin...on Duo-Clean models (like this one), the brush still spins in hard floor mode, albeit much slower. The machine also does not vent any suction thru the handle, so suction is the strongest in this mode. Just thought I'd add that...I like your videos. :)
Can I ask if this one has a decent filter?
So I bought this vaccum NV803 based on your review. vacuum worked good but before six months old, after disconnecting and reconnecting the wand, brush would stop engaging. I called shark and they just claim that the "floor nozzle", the entire bottom half of the vacuum except the motor, is a wearable part and not covered by warranty. I told them I think it is an electrical sensor issue, vacuum not registering that the want is plugged in and they said all electrical parts are wearable parts. They offered me a new "floor nozzle" without even knowing if that is really the problem but also the new parts are not covered by any warranty either. So you buy the part and if it breaks again, then you have no recorse. So while your review is for performance, I think people need to know that this company does not stand behind their products. $300 is a lot of money to spend if the company wont actually warranty the product. Customer service is a huge factor in buying vacuums and that 7 year warranty only covers the motor. If anything goes wrong they will not fix it. I will never buy a shark product again. A lot of people on amazon also complaining about warranty not covering defects.
J Mini , OMG! I’ve been researching for hours! I did not sleep, but I don’t care about that, you are a blessing and I thank you so much for your well written post/review. You’ve saved me from so much future headaches. I was going to give it a try but I think I’ll stick to the Dyson line.
Do you have any recommendations besides Shark or Dyson? Thank you so much! I hope I receive your message if you respond to this question :) knowing RUclips who knows.
My Dad always said to stay away from a product that has lots of refurbished models available. You'll find lots of refurbs available on Ebay and Amazon. I think I'll wait until their engineers correct the apparent floor nozzle problem these vacuums are having. Maybe the next model will have better motors. Always read the fine print on those warranties so you know what is covered.
Will this model scratch vinyl (wood) floor over long term?
What was the cfm at the wand and head?
Could you do a review on the nz801 when you can please ?
Is this model no longer available? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Nice! What do you use in your cleaning job now since you got more vacuums?
We still use this one just about every day, though we also use the Shark Apex.
No one is talking about the flaw in this model : a small “ throat” / tube diameter behind the rollers. IE; stuff gets stuck/ clogged this part of the vacuum head. I cannot see any professional use of this model when household debris can clog it up. The Apex model is best except for the tiny wheels which tend to wear out.
I used my shark cordless zero m at one of my family’s house she also has a shark but it’s corded but I think my cordless was better than the corded bc it managed to deep clean more dirt than the corded when they have the same brushroll aka in America it’s called zero m but in the uk it’s call anti tangle technology
I bought this after your review, however I didn't notice before hand that it's only supports 110V, which is not supported in my country.
I shipped it back since it's not handy with voltage converter attached to it.
1. Do you any shark vacuum that supports 220V? I really liked the due clean feature.
2. Is any other alternative that you suggest that also support 220V?
Thanks
Yes, via great Britain
review the canisters from kenmore please!
Yeah just bought it today at Argos in UK, costed 250£ and i like it,its pretty good
We hope you enjoy it! Hello UK!
Hello, I'm very curious to know what is currently your favorite corded vacuum for hard floors. Thank you
His current favorite is the shark Vertex corded powered lift away. Here is the link to his review --> ruclips.net/video/0YyG7ojZG_s/видео.html If you want a cheaper option then he also loved the shark apex with zero m. here is the link --> ruclips.net/video/G9MnaSKQtR4/видео.html
Wow, a 7 year warranty?! That's great. The NV800 only comes with a 3 year warranty here in Australia. :/
The warrany only includes the vacuum motor unit without anything else. None of the attachments or filters are included meaning the motor head and hoses are all not included.
Do u recommend the shark lift away duo clean or the shark rotator powered lift away both have really great reviews please help I don’t know which one to buy !??
The duo clean is better for hard floors and is very versatile for both floor types but the rotator is better for only carpet but wouldn't recommend the rotator for hard floors.
Is anyone knew how shark does name their product? Such as NZ 850 UKT?
Anyone know if the Shark UV850 from Costco is the same vac?
Would you recommend this over the Apex? Trying to pick one or the other.
Blue Ridge Cabin Cleaning thank you very much!
would you consider doing a flour/powder under the carpet/rug test for this vacuum? this has everything going for it, but im curious as to how much suction it looses on carpets because of the duo clean.
It does loose a little deep cleaning ability with the Duoclean, but from other deep clean tests we have done we are talking a 5%-10% reduction, nothing major. and it still deep clean better than other much more expensive vacs.
@@VacuumWars oh awesome!! thank you for replying! i have the nv752 but am moving to a house with all hardwood floors and will be putting down area rugs and the nv803 will be perfect!!
do you think/know if the main head on this is interchangeable with the nv752?
No it is not. The nv752 is bigger so it wont fit.
Is the suction power on this better than the shark flex duoclean hv391. I have a small apartment with half hard floors and half carpet. I’d like to get the corded shark flex but I’m concerned about suction power and the longevity of the flex. I’ve heard it clogs easily and it doesn’t have as good as reviews as the shark ion flex (battery operated). The Dyson v10 seems like a good buy with the two different heads but I don’t want to buy a 600 vacuum for a small apartment. The motor head is cheaper at 500 but it only comes with one head. If I purchased the Dyson v10 Motorhead would the one regular head be adequate for the hard floors. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Yeah it would have more suction power, as a larger motor is used.
Vacuum Wars - would you recommend the hv391, nv803, or the Dyson v10 Motorhead? I’m torn.
If you had to choose among NV771, NV831, and ZU561 for just a run of the mill home vacuum (used maybe 1x/week) not at ton of debris, but have small pet hair... which would you choose? Obviously different price ranges with different attributes. I'm having trouble figuring out which features are worth while. TIA!
of the three you mentioned I would choose the 771 but I would like the 803 better.
@@VacuumWars why would you choose the 771 over the 803? Thanks!
Hm I really want to like this vacuum it has outperformed our vacuums at our recreation center but it just doesn't seem to be good for low/med pile area rugs. It likes to kick salt/dirt out the back on the low pile and high pile settings. The hard floor setting works but then the brushes don't spin fast enough to really deep clean it. The $40 bissell does a better deep cleaning in a short amount of time.
Is their some way to modify the suction so its always on max setting even on low pile? I'm sure it would work great if it's possible to do this. Other than that it's really good for hard floors.
Are this model HEPA free? After saw your HEPA video, i seems really care on it. Thanks again
Yeah, all current Shark upright vacuums are HEPA vacuums with sealed systems so they are good choices for allergies.
@@VacuumWars thank you, are this one as good as shark APEX? Unlike the previous old purple?
very well
how's the long term hold-up on this, now that's it's been a while?
I have had this vacuum since it came out. It has been used daily for a lot of house cleaning and a lot of messy construction work. Its amazing and it holds up really well. There is nothing wrong with it other than the handel release and floor type switcher being a little stiff but thats on my part for vacuuming drywall dust. It's a great buy however its discontinued.
I bought a refurbished UV-810 from eBay for $99, it's a great little vacuum...I'm happy to have a few scratches to save $250. :)
How do you like it? Just ordered same thing $99 Amazon Renew
@@davidchin7188 Hi Dave! It's great, it's got a few scratches here and there but is clean works fantastic, in my opinion completely worth the $99 I paid, considering a new one is $350. The only issue I had was that in my case the filters were in *very* bad condition--I would expect a refurbished vacuum to have new filters installed. I contacted the seller and he told me to purchase new ones and to send him the receipt for what I had bought, and he would refund it to me via paypal. If you have the same problem and your filters look bad, (be sure to check the HEPA filter), reply to my message here and I will show you which filters I bought (3 sets of pre-motor filters, 2 HEPA filters, and a brushroll cleaning tool) that were approved by the seller. Hope this helps. :)
How do you keep hair from getting tangled on the brush?
This model has a built in hair detangle feature :)
I wish you would've talked more about the negative... like compression fit attachments, a non motorized stair tool, etc. People watch your reviews for recommendations but you need to be more fair and unbiased towards Shark. There are better options.
does it last long? did any of the brushes melt at the ends?
We have been using our pretty much every day for a year (we have a house cleaning business) and the brush is still in great shape.
@@VacuumWarsNice to know, I have a cleaning business too and think I'll get this particular Model
I like the Douclean tecnology hop you get 10000000000000k
lol thanks!
What is the difference between the shark duo clean and the shark duo clean slim.
The Duoclean slim is cheaper and made of less quality parts. It is lighter but just a fraction of a pound lighter than the Nv803 I would recommend the Nv803 over the Duoclean Slim
the slim uses cheaper materials, and it has a smaller extension wand, it is also not quite as powerful.
What’s the difference between nv800W and nv800C
There is no difference. The letter just means its from a different store. Sometimes the letter means a different attachment set but its not much of a change.
Is this still a good option in 2021?
It's good but it didn't make the top twenty picks for 2021 - ruclips.net/video/pcnfIOCJEI8/видео.html
There are a few Sharks in that list, even some budget picks.
Its obviously the apex with zero-m
Will this vacuum shock me?
Yes! With How good it is! - but really, no I havent heard of any shock issues with this model, If I remember correctly that was with an older rotator pet model ( I think the 600 series) which was recalled.
Vacuum Wars I really hope a good vacuum by shark won't get recalled again
Do these have self cleaning brushroll?
No they do not. if you want a self cleaning brushroll then buy any shark with zero-m
I have 1dog
Jus bought 1 ;) £220 with car and pet tool ;)
I hope you enjoy it!
@@VacuumWars will do buddy it's a stair master and a bit of a major dust buster ;)
Has anyone gotten bitten by their shark?
Looks like a car
For those wanting to buy this it is
N/A
Sorry for that. We've got some newer shark videos that may help you.
I was really disappointed in this vacuum.
