I love your vacuum videos, (have watched almost all of them, thank you!) but buyer beware of #sharkvacuum. I have a cleaning company and went on your recommendation and purchased the #sharkapexduoclean. One week into normal running of the vacuum, it quit. The company said they would send a return label for me to receive a refund, but it never showed up. I called them again (and again) (waited on hold for hours throughout the calls), was eventually told to cut the cord and send them pictures and now that that is done they are saying no refund. My feeling is that their customer service is designed to be as inconvenient as possible so the customer gives up trying to get a refund. I have spent at minimum 6 hours on hold with them. SO, moral of the story, it's probably a decent product, but if you get delivered a lemon, you are out of luck.
@@VacuumWars my shark rotator slim is trash now, I really need a new vaccum and I was looking at this and it was an amazing deal and I'm very happy u made a video
@@VacuumWars yea, the hose on the floor head has a hole in it and does bad on hard floors and I have all hard floors in my house so I am very grateful that you made this video.
I bought this vacuum and as much as I like it, the filters are impossible to find! Seems like you can only purchase oem filters from shark which is disappointing considering other models can find discounts on generic versions. I also wish it had an extendable hose like the pet versions. The vacuum is so lightweight that when using the attachments it topples the whole unit over :(
Have this vacuum and the front roller wheels break and crack off in months. I have literally bought three floor heads in 11 months and they all break. Shark can’t make a five cent wheel.
i have this vacuum i wish the hose was longer, would make it easier to use, powered lift away would be nice aswell but it was only $200 so i cant complain.
Super helpful, thanks! Shark web site doesn't give a weight, but Home Depot says 20 lbs. Where did you find the 13 lb. info? Or did you actually weigh it?
Before I started doing this I would have said not very important, But after testing to see how much stuff you actually put in the air, its like a big deal to me now. But A Hepa filter is useless without a sealed system, thankfully Sharks with HEPA filters are all sealed systems.
The main difference is that the Nv801 is a "powered" lift away and the Nv771 is just a lift away, so you cant use the NV771 like a stick vacuum like you can with the 801. They have pretty similar specs other than that. Though I do like the wheels better on the 801 but thats a minor nit pick.
Thanks... There's a reason I always resort to your channel... Responses info and u actuslly explain things instead of saying 'watch this video' keep it up
I purchase this vacuum and works awesome but I do have a question is it normal to have to run hot is the 1st vacuum I bought in about 30 years I had an old Hoover that was was old.. this shark picks up amazing but it doesn't run hot is at normal
I have to agree with you, I am glad I am done with this Shark series (other than a couple more competition videos) They were all starting to seem the same to me too.
I really like this but it seems like it wouldn't be great for vacuuming stairs. It seems like the best thing about the ability to turn these vacs into hand-held units is the ability to vacuum stairs, but the attachments here don't seem suitable for that. Are there optional attachments available?
I think this one is a good choice really, I forgot to mention it has an old style suction adjust which is good for rugs, you just turn the suction all the way down and it does very well with even shag rugs.
I needed something that was cheaper but performed well. So glad we have your reviews! I was able to find this on amazon for a great price. Can’t wait to try it out.
nice video and channel! I might get this one. Also, what fluid what are you using to gauge volumetric flow rate..you could probably say scfm instead of cfm.
Thank you for this! I've been searching the internet to figure out what vacuum to buy. I'm between this one and the Apex, although the lower price point of this one is appealing. I have cats and they shed like crazy. I want something that will be able to stand up against that. We have hardwood as well. The cat hair is mostly short. Do you have an opinion between the two?
Wow, that is cheap! I agree about the benefit of the narrower cleaning path and light weight. My favorite vacuum (besides my V8) is a Tacony Supralight. It’s less than 10 pounds, has a narrow cleaning path and kicks a§§ in cleaning ability. I had the fancy Tacony with dual fans and it was too big and clumsy. So hats off to your new fav!
Thanks Vee, yeah the only time I regret it is if I have a huge house that it like all open space then I do wish for the bigger path, but that doesnt happen too often.
Could you please Test Bosch Unlimited Cordless vacuum cleaner BBS1... or BCS1... they are basically the same as far as I know the only difference are the accessories.
I wish the non powered lift away models could still attach to the floor nozzle. I like being able to put the floor head on the hose to get under tables and couches (i have the original navigator lift away, and i hate it, but that feature is very convenient)
Yeah, with the old Navigators you could still attach the wand to the nozzle even though it wouldnt be powered, it seems with the new lift away versions they made the connections different sizes to prevent this.
My Dyson was actually picking up fibers from my oriental rug. How does this one treat rugs. Is there an ideal cfm or brush configuration for getting a good clean without damaging? Thanks!
The old airflow videos I did at the cleaner head were inaccurate for broader use because I didnt seal the head to the box back then. I say not for broader use because since in that video all the vacuums I tested were tested the same way so they were fine for comparison purposes in that particular video, but not for comparison to other videos, at least at the head. The wand / hose numbers were fine. Though I did retest those as well since I was doing it differently back then too, (but in that case the margin of error was only about 2 cfm)
Had this vacuum for over 5 years and it still works like new🌼 I take it apart and clean the filters and the "bagless" collection bucket every so often, and I have never had an issue with losing suction or anything.
extremely happy to have found your reviews. bought the vacuum months ago, love it. Having issue finding replacement filters that are not direct from shark and overpriced. I can't find an equivalent size yet for this NV771 help? thanks!
I really think its a great value, in the upcoming Shark Awards video, I gave it best budget vacuum but its also better than most premium vacs out there.
Love this vacuum just wish there was an easier way to clean the brush roll if only it would come off as easy as the soft roller other than that no complaints
I wish they would make this vacuum with a ZeroM brush roll

This vac in on sale at Walmart currently for 149 for pre Black Friday!
It was $139.00 + 4.712% state sales tax (Hawaii) = $143.71 at my Wal-Mart location. Purchased 11/22/19. Good deal!
YES! I WANTED TO SEE THIS VACCUM. I COULD NOT FIND A VIDEO AND MY FAVORITE RUclipsEE MAKES IT. OMG

Please do a review on the Hoover react upright vacuum vs the Shark vacuum.
Thanks for the suggestion, I have been thinking about doing the React vs the Bissell Pet hair eraser and the Eureka Floor Rover.
Is there any difference between this and the NV770? I can’t find the 771 at walmart and the price on the 770 is really good at the moment.
Its probably just a different attachment package. As long as the numbers are mostly the same you should get the same vacuum.
What would you recommend for the best light wieght lift away vacum from shark the one in this video looks good but its not powed lift away ?
Check the Vertex in this video - ruclips.net/video/pcnfIOCJEI8/видео.html
@@VacuumWars i have watched it
Is this vacum in the video the only good light lift away vacum because others from the other video you sent the link to have issues ?
I just picked one up from by the road and got working. So far I’m very impressed with it.
good job!

Great review. You endorse it, I'm sold!

Easy to assemble, good strong materials, feels good, looks good.
It’s been a year since the review, do you still recommend it?
It holds up great and there is no problem with it at all. Highly recommend. : )
Glad I stumbled on your channel. Definitely getting this for our new house. 👌🏻
Not seeing this for sale anymore. Has it been replaced with a new name or number?
Thank you for this good video. Can you make a review on philips vacuum (FC9328/69)? Especially on allergy filter. Thanks again

In your opinion how important are Hepa filters? I was debating between the this vacuum and the cordless ones but the cordless ones didn't have Hepa.

Does the front brush roll get gross and dirty easily?
Will the extra felt seal around the bottom wear quickly with carpet vacuuming?

That's a good feature. My little Riccar has a high and low speed and the low works great for vacuuming dog hair off of beds and furniture.
