Good content and information. Most logical video I’ve seen explaining this behavior. Big cats, wolves, foxes, coyotes, hyenas and many other carnivores eat grass for the reasons described here.
My dogs dig for and eat these plant root that are in a certain area of my lawn. They've been eating them for over 10 years, each teaching the next about them.

One day I was shingling the roof of the house after a hail storm, while I'm kneeling over nailing down shingles all of a sudden I feel a licking on the back of my neck. I'm inches away from the edge of the roof and for a moment I freaked out. "HOW THE HECK DID YOU GET UP HERE!" I shouted down to my family on the ground asking if they knew how in the world she got up there, or if someone had carried her up somehow. No one had any idea and was surprised as I was. After getting her down the ladder onto the ground I soon found out how... I grabbed some water and made my way back up to the roof. She immediately STARTED TO CLIMB THE LADDER after me! Fearless dog with a love for her people. She never figured out how to climb down, or at least I never let her... Maybe she would have! 😂
Dog shenanigans is my new favorite term.
