This guy is a MuFin Genius. Seriously......Well done on this video. So the question is, how good is a Banks Cold Air intake? I'm getting ready to tow a 16K 5th wheel and was looking at cold air intakes as opposed to the stock intake. I'm not looking for performance gains per se, but wanted to best for the engine to make the tow easier...
so you said these trucks are close to 500 grams a second and so this truck is 66lbs/min MAF how is that possible if the turbo is only capable of 59lbs/min
We understand that, but it’s not a throttle or “throttle body” it’s technically a blending valve to lower oxygen levels. We were just trying to clarify that throttle doesn’t control output as it’s mostly open most of the time.
Never drive a diesel that cannot breathe-Reason My 2005 LLY has 400k deleted free breathing miles will not be replaced with a newer emission controlled fart recycler👍🏼
Wow, staggeringly awesome video. Thank you!! Very smart tuner, I would love to have you guys work on my L5P

Great video. Very knowledgeable. Props to you to tuning these the right way and not having to do deletes and generate crude, dirty power.
The l5p has a throttle style butterfly valve.
Most modern diesels do technically have throttle bodies. But not for fresh air. It's to close off and restrict fresh air and force induction of EGR.

Doesn’t that affect the dpf lifespan

Awesome info… thanks!!!
How do you feel about air intake changes like Banks or Wehrli? Have you done any tuning with them installed? Dry or oiled filter?
i just want more sound out of my truck
yeah i'm trying to hear that whistle out my tail pipe
