Sign Hernandez for right. Trade Story and Abreu (and a prospect?) for Castillo, Haniger, and Garver (Red Sox taking on the latter two contracts so that the M's take Story's). Trade Yoshida for Montgomery. Rafaela plays short until Mayer is ready. Perhaps go after Donovan to play second until Campbell is ready.
They are dumpster diving. Spend some money and get a Ace. Get some bullpen help. They have enough of 3,4,5,pitchers. And while their at it get a right handed bat with some pop. They can make trades.

It's ok to take a flyer on him but you can't count on him. This is what would be good.to do sign a Ace free agent trade Abreu and a couple other higher Prospects for Crochet he would be a #2 pitcher we would have a killer starting 5..We have some great kids coming up. Shore up our bullpen a little and get a right handed hitter with pop.. that would put us in contention for the division title . Maybe the World Series.

Dimpster diving, he'd be a 100MM pitcher if he didn't get hurt. He dominated for the Indians last year, even though it was only 2 games.
