The Tilta Float i dont think was around 3 yrs ago and this is the only video i found anywhere that has addressed the Prores Raw 4k 60 Atomos Recording HDMI issues and its 3 yrs old just noticed ✌🏻
This is still helpful info in 2021. I'm looking to buy this for a Sony a7iii to connect it to my monitor, which will be mounted on a Ronin SC gimbal. Thank you.
The HDMI cable I have appears to work fine for sending 10-bit 422 ProRes HQ footage to my Atomos Ninja 5. But sending ProRes Raw footage to it is something else again. Once I switch my camera to Raw output, the Ninja shows an intermittent signal. My search for the highest-quality HDMI cable continues.
I guess i’ve never sent prores raw to the Ninja v. Thanks for this comment. None of my cameras output raw(GH5 and C70) so I’ve never had the opportunity to test that.
Foinnex 3ft is thin and working w Prores Raw 4k60 HQ off Amazon. Have yet to find a cable beyond 3ft (Thin) That works that thin. The long coiled Atomos 16 to 30 whatever even though bulky ive had no luck at all except the short gold label .. This is is very aggervating and i have 2 UNDONE CABLE ON THE SHELF! Suppose i didnt pay enough attention to the specs or the video! Got a mint in cables and No one seems to be shooting PRORES RAW 4k60 with any say that thers a problem. Must be a secret?
The Hive Entertainment HDMI2.0 is sufficient to run 4K 60fps in 10 bit color. 2.1 is more for future device bandwidth requirements and 8k/10k video specs
The Hive Entertainment Yes, quality of cable ultimately is what sets the capability for the cable. Cable should be ultra high speed cable to meet bandwidth requirements of18Gb/s which is the speed requirement to meet HDMI2.0 spec
I purchased mine through B&H photo out of New York and had it shipped to Canada. They can be found on AMazon.com. I did not come across them on Amazon.ca
Thanks for the shout-out, Trevor! And thanks for participating in the stream. It was a lot of fun! Cheers, mate. Happy holidays! 😃👍
Gerald Undone it was my pleasure.

Thanks, Trevor! Just what I was looking for after encountering the same issue with the gimbal setup.

Absolutely brilliant. I was feeling pretty frustrated with the Atomos cable, so this is going to really save my gimbal setup.
Awesome advice.. thank you.

Exactly what I was looking for and for the exact same reason. Thanks. A lot.
Thank you

I’ll be testing out RAW to the ninja V as soon as the C70 firmware with raw is released. Probably wont be prores raw, likely some form of canon raw.
Is the hdmi 2.1 great/best for 4k 60p 10bit?

Trevor Bagnell thanks. I do have the hdmi 2.0 but realized it loses signal now and then. Can it be that the quality of cable might be the issue?

do you have a link to the cable please? International?
