    How do you incorporate creativity in your every day life?

    • @tarekalaswad813
      @tarekalaswad813 2 года назад +3

      Actually, I usually do something that I have been doing since I was a child, I open music and start remembering thing, and try to imagine myself doing things that are not one of my ability, then start thinking of it as an object or architecture thing.

    I think that being creative is a challenge because it dwells in sub-conscious thought. It can't be forced. But it can be guided by asking "what if"? Great video. Thanks for sharing.

    • @DamiLeeArch
      @DamiLeeArch  2 года назад +8

      True. We can also keep creating situations where we're forced to be creative 😊

    • @paxwallace8324
      @paxwallace8324 Год назад

      That's right so just get enough sleep and forget that part but concentrate on what you do have power over. Creativity absent a medium is absurd. So every medium is a language. Be conscious that what we're talking about exists like a language. So you're after more vocabulary so we're talking vocabulary acquisition. In most mediums like music composition these vocabulary elements like chromatically altered harmonies are quite compelling So in architecture the very idea of "tensegrity" or "geodesics" are highly fertile areas or the idea of limits which brings me to looking into other mediums/languages for inspiration.

    I think about it like fishing, if you pull too hard the line will snap and you'll lose the fish, if you never real it in... Well you'll lose the fish and your line to reality. Using just the right restraint for the force pulling back leads to a glorious steamed whitefish dinner.... Now I'm hungry.

I’m no architect but appreciating your openness to new or even old ways we can live more experienced and fulfilling lives by living differently and what seem to me more convenient lives through an architectural coaxing of our society. I also love the sci-fi, historical or pop-culture critiques of the architecture within these works and what they practically get wrong or right in their imaginings.

    how do I incorporate creativity? for me it boils down to why I desire to be alive at all. at a certain milestone in my life, I saw two distinct approaches to life purpose: the fighter archetype, and the lover. I saw people get fired up about taking a stand for something, fighting injustice, fighting standards through competition, hustling, pushing, asserting, and so on. these behaviours didn’t fire me up, and at length I realized I had to drop trying to be what I thought a person was supposed to be. I found that my nature is not that of a fighter, but a lover-an artist. whereas conflict vitalizes some, it only drains me; but harmony & serenity form the bedrock of those inspired acts & insights that I call creativity. I realized that I don’t want to be alive unless I’m expressing my true nature. so creativity, for me, is life-and-death. so with this preamble, now to answer the question as to how I incorporate creativity, I’d say: I found that my true nature was ‘creativity incorporated’-in other words, the universe incarnated (incorporated) this creature, myself, whose primeval nature is to create. and to surrender to the courage to live my true nature, ...that’s all I think about.

    Being 'creative' is simply a matter of learning to relax the mind. Bringing the conscious mind into equal relaxation with the subconscious mind...aka 'daydream' mode. When you come back, write it all down in short statements...in a journal. As time goes on, pay a visit to your journal of ideas. You'll be surprised how much we forget. Success is not part of this thought process. If success is your motivation, you're in the wrong frame of mind.
    The difference between the intellectual and the genius is that the intellectual rarely questions the university while the the genius never stops questioning the universe.

    I love seeing your emotions as you explain this stuff and have fun doing it! That is what Tom Cruise does, everything with a smile! Great topic.
    The head of Ford Motors said whether you think you can do something or not, either way, you are right! Take a look at some old 4 cylinder tractors with, so amazing, everything right there where you can see it!
    Creativity comes to you. You have to block it with distractions etc, so content creators are often alone to avoid blocking thoughts (the auras of other people for example).
    When you are in public, you expect contrast etc to process later. The patent office procedures play a role, and they are not cheap.
    Never say anything is hard to do, you will intentionally block your thoughts.

    It's not so hard to be creative. To mashup and brew ideas together to make new stuff is easy. The hard part is to produce stuff that is actually not evil, but thoroughly good and useful. Since we deal with the subconscious expression, undealt emotional issues can taint the quality of our work. As an architect we have a responsibility towards other to produce good stuff. A tormented artist can express garbage, if people like it, it's fine. But here, a thorough self-search and healing is required to create beautiful things.

  • @WhirledPublishing

    Secrets to being highly creative and very happy:
    1. Be brilliant - expand the depth and breadth and height of your genius in a multitude of ways
    2. Pursue dozens of professional and artistic paths simultaneously - for decades
    3. Use your brilliance to get the best nutrition for your brain and body
    4. Give yourself the time to be brilliant and creative - for me, this meant relinquishing every "comfort" - except "makeup" and nice clothes. Since I wasn't flushing money down the toilet on trinkets and baubles, I had way more time than most people to develop skills and talents, more time for doing research, etc.
    5. Do not waste time on drugs, booze, smoking, coffee, soda pop, junk food, toxic people, etc.
    6. Focus your heart and mind on creating genius ways to improve the quality of life for those who want to live the best life possible.

      Trust me as an architecture student in community college it has it’s ups and downs. I would say just be prepared to make some sacrifices in social life with friends and family because in architecture your work takes time. Also don’t be discouraged if you feel your work is never finished in the eyes of others including yourself and that’s okay because your think of ways to improve it. Just make sure to time management and most importantly breaks from your work other wise it will drive you insane.

    Thank you for this enlightening video, very nice presentation Madam Architect. But in my case creativity is more of an accident or driven by exterior pressure like what in my past design challenge. In one of my music instruments store project the mall architect pushes me to make a design that would make him say wow, and It took me some time in solving that until I came out to the idea on what the store name means - that lead me to the generation of my design.

    That is a good question. Something I have been asking too. Over time my creativity has been changing in how I am being allowed to express it. Is that only because I wear glasses in an age when so many more people don't thanks to surgery for strabismus, contact lenses and things like Gimble Eye Clinic offering Lasix eye surgery so people don't have to wear them anymore? I don't know because as time goes by more and more I like writing and gardening when expressing my creativity. Instead of becoming more creative in the other arts. And so maybe I should set aside time in the morning only for all communication tasks limiting it to communicating with people I know well and writing fiction and poetry. Instead of spending too much time communicating with only acquaintances and other people on soical media too.

    Creativity isn't my problem it's everydayness regular stuff that's hard. All creativity requires is: A) a medium with which you're obsessed, B) an insightful question regarding said medium. So an insightful question might start out quite innocently like why does this composition sound so modern yet remain accessible. You'll know you're on the right track if the answers you're digging up are structural or architectural in nature. You'll know you're on the right track if the answers you dig up lead to more questions. What I'm talking about is vocabulary acquisition. If you're to be truly creative you must learn how to become an expanding universe. But all that means is living in the question as a basic principle. Creating a compelling body of work requires this for me at least. Oh one last thing. PRISON BREAK! So one must be ruthless and uncompromising to be an ever expanding universe. I simply mean that eventually you'll create formulas that work but that's a prison actually you've got to break out of. Formulas = No edge in order to develop creatively you've got to learn how to become an effective escape artist but without losing the hard won benefit of your last stage. It's like T.S. Elliott said " Because one has only learnt to get the better of words for the thing one no longer has to say or the way in which one is no longer disposed to say it. And so each venture is a new beginning a raid on the inarticulate."

    'Create' does not mean 'create smth unique'.
    If you havent heard of the wheel, and you come up with that shape on your own, you have been successfully creative.
    Congrats.

    Well if you want to enable some creativity, it is good to see art from the past or something from the past and create something similar but different to it. Usually that helps with creativity.

    I like the idea that creativity is not a solidarity thing. There is this idea of the lonely, tortured artist. I like the idea that creativity is collaborative.

      yesss the usual background is real but I just purchased a green screen, which is how I'm changing the background throughout the video 😁

    I've seen animals be highly creative too, some spiders or birds with their unique homes and traps.

    I started some game design story sums but I only get paid after I have finished the creative artwork, the game mechanics and programming which allot is automatic but takes long to get anything substantial done. I wish it was possible to finance upfront for arranging staff and offices and presentations you know.

    It requires the application of the elements in the surrounding... It's more of an abstraction technique at randomness. That's what I presume.... Rest you clear me..😅😅

    It's harder to be creative from the get go, while at the same time functioning in society. Shout out to all my fellow poor mental health sisters and brothers!

    for me i just never broe the ceiling of having enough money to be creative and have an outlet for my ideas so they just rattle away in my head and eventually just get forgotten i guess.
