  • (05/27/2023) A description of these elevators in two words is FREAKING AMAZING!
These are some TOTALLY INSANE and ULTRA SCENIC Schindler Port/7000 express elevators at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia. These cruise at about 1000 fpm and you get an amazing view of Philly while going up. These have EPCO fixtures on the inside with a glass COP. The elevators also have a really nice cab too that were made by MAD (check out www.madelevato... for another cab install they did here). I loathe the emergency button placement on these (you could to that I was so close to accidentally calling 911). Also, the ADA mode and the button for it on the 60 floor needs improvement. It will not register all the time and one of them doesn't talk (as you can tell).
A HUGE thanks to the people at the Four Seasons for letting me have fun on these. I have NEVER seen a hotel this nice in my life before (clearly outguns the Ritz Carlton in Tysons). The lobby was loaded with flowers. Wait till you walk to the Jean George's restaurant here, see how astonishing the architecture is in there and walk around it to see some really good views of Philly. There's even an insane infinity pool where you can see a really good view of Philly (guests only, sadly).
I absolutely recommend coming here to ride and film the elevators and not just that, but explore the views here too! This is also Philly's most underrated attraction in my opinion.
These elevators have officially outgunned the NYC Marriott Marquis as my favorite elevator(s) of all time. The elevators here are absolutely underrated compared to the Marriott Marquis in NYC.

Hopefully I will get to see these sometime soon. I'm sad that they slowed them down but it's probably good for the hotel to not make some riders sick.

These actually (currently) go 1200 FPM, I speed tested them.

Interesting. The building is about 1100 ft tall and I'm gonna bet the hotel is somewheres between the 900 and 1000 ft marker. I generally calculate speed by building height. Just curious, what app or whatever do you use to speed test the elevators?
