My goodness... what AMAZING work you do! I LOVE watching you blend! Seeing how you lay down your first layer, then showing how it's ok to change your mind... like the long drawer. You realize that changes can be made, and you just keep playing to get the effect your after! It's funny, that now when I watch other people paint their pieces, they seem so plane! 🤦♀️ Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talents with us!!
I love watching your creative process and listening to your narration. It’s like watching a story, told in furniture, with surprising twists and turns. This one is a fairy tale. Gorgeous!🌸
This piece is absolutely stunning! Love the strip of wood trim; it looks fantastic on that piece. For all of your ‘start overs’, it looks very cohesive.
Beautiful, Taryn. Per usual. Loved the decoupage choices and I actually loved the stenciling before you painted over it. Can't wait to get back to painting after my move so I can put some of this stuff into action. Thanks, girl.
Thanks, Kim! I’m definitely going to do another in the future with the stencil over bare wood, I really liked it as well. I hope your move goes well! Moving always stresses me out 😬
This is so beautiful. I really want to start blending and you make it sound and look so easy. Maybe if I just keep watching I'll gather up the courage to just go for it. :)
What a journey and told processes as you went. Like some authors as they write. And like I have done houses. But harder to back up and redo if you hit a dead end... . Thank you. I agree with your decisions as you explained steps. Honing ,refining sharpens my own eye's judgement .
Thanks, but I like the strip of wood, it breaks up all the dark at the bottom. I was playing with the idea of using the detail color instead though. Oh well, there’s always next time.
@@elegantupgrades hopefully I find time for something creative....at the moment and for over a year now I've been doing back to back custom from 3 an 4 clients...I guess that's good BUT I don't really get to be creative. Hi, I loved how it turned out in the end. I think if it was my piece I wouldn’t of left the bare wood exposed BUT it’s not my piece it’s yours 🙂 well done hun & I hope you sell it soon.
Oh yes, I absolutely love it. It doesn’t work on everything, but I’d say I could use it on 80% of my pieces with success. Thanks for making the rounds on my videos and taking the time to leave comments, Maria!
Thank you, Gail! It’s called light khaki. It’s a bit of a creamy white color- but I would say it has a slight green undertone. It’s great for doing washes over red toned woods for that reason.
😂 You aren’t the only one! It’s called light khaki. It’s a creamy white color. It has a faint green undertone which is why I think it’s throwing people off. But as a side note, it makes it a perfect white wash for red hued wood.
This is a beautiful piece !! Love the blending of the colors and the decoupage paper on the bottom really brings this piece together. Thanks for a great video !!
It's so good to see and hear about your process and I really like the outcome 😍🥰❤ However, I think I would have gone for the darkest colour on the top, but that's just my personal taste😁
I do like the way it ended up, starting from dark and going all the way to off-white. It definitely looks better in the HD photos, at the end, than it does on the video camera; the darker colors look kinda like mud on the camera, but then look great in the pictures :-/ Where can we donate for a higher resolution video recorder? lelolel
@@elegantupgrades I looked into it, and the light will require a gaseous fission reactor. I think I can secure the manufacture of it for you, but it's going to cost us about $850 million. It might also disintegrate you, your house, and whatever is about 350 feet behind your house; but that's an issue we can deal with later.
I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons in this situation. Let’s do it. Now I just need to calculate how many pieces of furniture I need to sell to come up with my half.
Thanks for taking the time to video, upload and share your work. We're going to have to start calling you the 'Bob Ross' of furniture painting.
Haha, I do love Bob Ross. But I’m nowhere near as gifted as he was. Still practicing every piece. Thanks for all your support.

Debbie!!! Thank you so much for leaving such wonderful comments! And yes, this one had me on my toes the whole time 😅 I was very indecisive.
Lovely blend of colours with the paper. You worked your magic again.

I feel like I’m getting thrown off my game in this one 😂 It’s usually such a fluid process once I get going.

Thank you! I think you just have to jump in! Start with something small and see what happens. And then show me what you came up with!
I think it turned out beautiful. Glad you didn’t leave the stencil.
Thanks, Connie! Me too, it was just a bit much with both.
I love what you did to this piece. She is absolutely stunning 💜💜
You’re so great, Kim! I see you making the rounds again and I just really appreciate you.
This is my favorite I've seen you do. I love the colors.

Thank you, Nancy. I did think it would be valuable to show the missteps. I can imagine it would be much more difficult to change direction on a house!
Turned out beautifully! This is the first time I have watched your channel😊 I flip furniture too! Great Job 👏🏻
Oh thank you!!! Just looked you up!
It’s a beautiful piece, although I wish she wouldn’t have left the trim on the bottom natural. It looks disjointed to me that way.
Thanks, but I like the strip of wood, it breaks up all the dark at the bottom. I was playing with the idea of using the detail color instead though. Oh well, there’s always next time.
I like the natural wood and paint look. It’s a shame the top wasn’t real wood that could have been left natural too.
I love the colors a decoupage paper!
Thank you, Colleen!
Love it but I think the wood finish on bottom would look better painted in the top color.👏🏻
Interesting! A pop of cream instead of wood. I’m gonna have to ponder that. Thank you!
I always love to see you blend .....I gotta get up the nerve to do a smokey blend like you do ....came out Soooo beautiful 💕👍🤩
Thank you, Debra! Yes, definitely try it! I’d love to see what you come up with.

Yes! Sometimes you just love something and it inspires the whole thing! Thanks for sharing such a fun story, Kim.
Wow this turned out beautiful I love it
Thank you, Carol!
This is gorgeous!! 😍 Don't care for the plain wood bottom personally, but overall this is stunning!! You blend paint beautifully!! 💜
Thank you, Angie! I go back and forth on the wood on the bottom. Sometimes I love it and sometimes I wish I would have done the guilding color on it.
This is so beautiful!

@@elegantupgrades you bet! ❤️
Very nice. I notice you don’t spritz. Can you use Chalk Mt paint without water spritz?
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. I just depends on if I need to or not. You can absolutely use water with Chalk Mountain Paint.
Beautiful
Thank you!
It's very nice, detailed work and the shading is flawlless, The wood strip at the bottom , however, breaks the cohesiveness of the piece.
Thanks.
Nice but I don’t get the one left wooden strip around the bottom
It helped break up all the dark at the bottom. I’m still contemplating doing it the pewter color instead, though.
What color is the top? It sort of looks minty! Great job.
Thank you, Gail! It’s called light khaki. It’s a bit of a creamy white color- but I would say it has a slight green undertone. It’s great for doing washes over red toned woods for that reason.

Haha! It’s so hard to make things look like they do in person! Even the photos aren’t quite right.
