Their constant “We don’t need stupid adults” and then having to be bailed out or fucking over the adults has made the entire cast one you actively root against. RWBY literally wouldn’t have accomplished what little they did without constant adult supervision and assistance, and if they hadn’t acted like they’d lost their collective braincells with Yang’s arm they probably wouldn’t have nuked the only bastion of technological development and primary source of dust into rubble at the bottom of the fucking ocean. No towers. Ever. No more vast stores of energy propellant. Ever. No more high tech personal prosthetics. Ever. Those were all Atlus exports. Congrats team, you fucked the world back to the medieval era because you refused to put trust into anyone while demanding everyone implicitly trust you and your bullshit as you lied through your fucking teeth and reaped the rewards.

Not really. It actually seemed like she wasn’t really trying. She blocked Yang’s bullet simple by just lifting her fan with minimal effort, she dodged and parried Blake’s attacks (she dodged the first one without looking) and if you pay attention, when they all squabbled right before the kick, she was pretty much dancing on them.

He didn’t owe her that, hell the fact he remembered a student he wasn’t in charge of, and spoke to maybe twice, and checked in afterwards to ensure she was looked after should be all you need to know about the guy. The only reason they weren’t left in a keyless cell after stealing Atlus military hardware and terrorizing a coastal town after destroying even more of their vital infrastructure was because Ironwood went out of his way to put his faith in them blindly and before their first chat was over they were already spitting in his face. Robyn is an asshole working on a hunch. Yang and Blake are absolute dipshits and shadows of their former selves. If they really cared, why not discuss a plan to throw Robyn off the trail with Ironwood first? Then they aren’t betraying him, they get to help finish the tower by stopping Robyn, and then for the hell of it they could volunteer to help provide extra reinforcements as guards for Mantle/the big fuckoff hole. Fuckin christ this is such a comedy of errors, and an even worse assassination of once fun characters.
