Gianfranco Ferrè is an Italian fashion designer also known as “the architect of fashion” for his background and his original attitude toward creating fashion design.
He was the stylistic director for Dior during the 1990’s.
Ferrè brought out the first women’s ready-to-wear collection for the Franco Mattioli’s Baila label in 1974.
After four years designing for the house, Ferrè decided it was time to start his own label.
He gave a 50% partnership to Franco Mattoli, which is still there.
In 1978, he released his signature collection for women and in 1982 his first menswear collection and accessories.
Two years later, he released his first women’s fragrance "Gianfranco Ferre".
His first couture fur collection, Studio 00l, was launched in Rome in 1986.
Ferré became Stylistic Director of Christian Dior in Paris in 1989.
It was announced that Ferré would end his engagement with Dior with the Spring 1997 collection for the label.

The models are so elegant and are walking with such grace. While many models of today are mostly angry-looking and with a militant walk like soldiers. I wonder why?
2023 and this is one of the most sublime, high fashion, haute couture shows ever. It is elegant, exquisite and effortless, the clothing absolutely sublime, and yet chic and sexy. No frenetic lights, mad music, and 'celebrities', seeking attention. Its ALL about the wonderful alta moda, talent of the incredible (and so underrated), Gianfranco Ferre. And, his women's perfume, with his name on the bottle, was hands down, one of the most beautiful, unforgettable fragrances ever. I'm devastated its no longer available. Lastly, my favourite models are there, Evangelista, Campbell, Ghauri, Marpessa, but my favourite of all, the Danish goddess, Helena Christensen, she's Exquisite! В современных показах, девушки как вешалки или роботы. Все шоу делают декорации. Никакой индивидуальности и подачи.
Здесь же нет никаких декораций, только подиум. Все представление , шоу, создают модели сами!! Они изящны! Верните это время!!!

30 anni fa ha lavorato la pelle in modo eccelso. Gli stilisti italiani erano i migliori al mondo! Ricordo le sfilate, ricordo che tutte noi donne avevamo capi molto belli. Sul posto di lavoro avevamo capi del Vero Made in Italy. Pochi magari, ma fatti dai nostri sarti o industrie in Italia....In questi anni invece vedo orli finiti male, giro so spalla cuciti malissimo, zip di pessima qualità😢😢. Abbiamo svenduto la nostra qualità a favore della globalizzazione. Io ho completi degli anni '90 in armadio ancora oggi e sono tutti cuciti e rifiniti 100 volte meglio di quello che trovo nei negozi oggi.
