Never seen this before. Liked it. I was 9 when this came out, but it must not have gotten to my small town theatre. I may search my HDD and re-watch The Time Machine and Journey to the Center of the Earth, both made within a year of this one. I love the close-ups of lizards to make monsters. Watching here in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸 This January 3rd 2025. We are under a Winter Weather Artic Cold Event. Its so cold 12 outside. A Winter Storm is to hit Sunday January 5th &6th up to 204 inches of snow. This classic movie is really good. ❤
1I'm from just south of the Mason-Dixon, but I moved further south since then. We are getting the same snow as you, but perhaps not as much. Stay safe and keep warm. If all goes well, being snowed in with power on might be easier. Watch YT, and drink hot coffee or hot chocolate. I hope you aren't without power. Take care!
@stevenward3856 I'm well prepared I have a double fireplace that can heat the entire home as a backup if needed. I also have a generator for emergency and solar backup for charging phones and tablet. I live on 10 acres deep in the country mountains.

I have a recollection of seeing this in a movie theatre a very long time ago. I didn't know that it was from a book by Jules Vern. It has held up well under the passage of time.
For its age watchable until the end I wonder how many movies have reptiles fitting in them and how many were hurt/killed in the making. The girl caught by the larva flow looked realistic and I would never of thought a cave man to be so chewy. As to the one tetradactyl l.o.l. Any Beatles fan should search for Ringo star in ''cave man'' 1981 its on RUclips for this movie which I can not work out how a passing comet can pick up two on its journey maybe we will go to the moon one day if a comet passes by. Only problem bad party as no atmosphere l.o.l👍👍👍👍👍 for posting

I've never heard of this one. Came out in 1961, and is loosely based on the Verne story. Kind of an inexpensive production... Should be a fun watch, though.
I bet I thought this was pretty cool when I was a kid, pretty silly now. These lizards have lion an elephant noises, 🤷♀️🤣but yeah, I'm still enjoying the movie.
