Oh they can moderate it! They had no difficulty whatsoever mass censoring topics they actually wanted to censor. No difficulty. They were able to spin that up and have it in full effect practically overnight.

Mark Zuckerberg went on Joe Rogan and talked about it. It's the whole reason Elon Musk bought Twitter. The government openly tried to create a "disinformation governance board". A "conspiracy theory" would be that they're still running it anyway, despite having backpedaled on it. Though that's really moreso just the most rational assumption one could make given the whole body of information, than it is a "conspiracy theory".

Parents need to set boundaries. People don't need Instagram. I deleted it five years ago and it was one of the best decisions I've made in my life.

They have AI technology they can make a clean version or cleaner version for young people that’s not over sexualized. Of course they can but the sexualized stuff grabs peoples attention and helps people get more addicted to the app, which is what they want.

Very refreshing to hear you have to maintain your IG feed because I get the same experience. It's a struggle when they set you up to fail.
I literally have an account that I follow no one and they kept offering me videos with women showing their chest. After doing an experiment of pressing “not interested” they then moved to suggest me breastfeeding videos 💀
that exact thing happened to me, too. “not interested” on the women, then came the breastfeeding videos. 🤦🏼♂️
I don’t wanna see it, but I do, so it’s a challenge for my eyes not to linger even though I try to avoid it. It’s frustrating. When you tell them you’re not interested it does little to nix it; in fact I think spending the time on the post to select the not interested option makes it think you are interested. It’s annoying.

Why I deleted it
100% got rid of Instagram due to the rampant softcore/sexual content. I also chose to get rid of Facebook due to similar content but it wasn't as bad on Facebook, the big push for me to get rid of Facebook was more so getting trapped into doom scrolling. Would I love to have kept the connection I get with distant friends and family, yes, but it wasn't worth the constant pull towards the porn industry.

I struggle with sexual imorality. And even though I have working with cool stuff on instagram, even with christian content, It's not working for me anymore. I have to pursuit holiness at all cost. I have apps that block other apps and configurations in my phone and I need to do what it takes to clean myself from all this stuff. It's not gonna be easy, but I'll do whatever it takes to not fall down into sin
You know how tiktok and I think Instagram you can block comments with certain words and profanity? It wouldn't be difficult for these companies to give us the option to block content we don't want to see with certain keywords. Block all accounts with OF in their bio etc.
When I was living in lust Instagram was such a catalyst for it. So many times I would just go to search for NHL content and boom! Thirst trap.
I can definitely see this . Every few months I have to train my algorithm to not show me "models" by basically having to watch said content just to click not interested. Doing that while also liking more safe content usually keeps it pretty safe for a bit until the algorithm resets.
Y’all talked about Instagram having a chronological feed and doom scrolling, and I flashed back to when I first had it in 2018, and yes, it was just chronological, and nothing else unless I searched a topic or person! Man, life was so much simpler back then! 😭🤣

What is just as bad is the shop on TikTok. The amount of times that I have to hit not interested for certain items which are sexualized for something which is not even remotely sexual is ridiculous. It’s literal spiritual warfare going on in the background and preying on so many youth and even adults who will be led astray to a wandering mind

Insta should have a dislike button because I get that stuff without even liking anything of it I'm pretty sure it base primarily on watch time so just being on that reel while scrolling passed it will still give the algorithm that you want to see it so it's like a default it's awful

Honestly, can't use instagram, facebook, or even X for this reason. I deleted them all off my phone. Oddly, somehow RUclips doesn't recommend pretty much any of that crap as long as I stick to theology, political, and running videos.

The only way to prevent Myers from seeing search content is to keep it off the platform altogether. Right now, I Instagram has a policy of leaving such content in place. They are promising that they can ensure some thing that is impossible. This is why they are failing. God does not want them to keep such material on any platform. Instagram is included.❤️🔥

Be careful on YT Shorts everyone, sometimes shorts are made by only fans girls or boys to low key promote their only fans or worser websites. The only way you would know if you when into the comment section or on their channel.

My dad created a Facebook profile and since he didn’t have an algorithm built yet he instantly was getting inappropriate girls on his feed and he wanted to get it off right away. I think they put them automatically if you’re a man because I never saw stuff like that in my feeds before on any social medias, except when I created a brand new Instagram for my business and it didn’t have a gender on it yet. It’s funny once I put female I started getting makeup videos on the feed😂

I had to use self control to stay away from the RUclips shorts because it was sucking way too much time. So many better things to be doing like studying the Bible, crafting or spending more time with my kids. I’m calling this summer the summer of enrichment.
