A lot of people assume that the word prosperity is actually being used accurately in the term "prosperity gospel." But the prosperity Gospel should actually be called "materialism gospel."
The words sloth and sluggard in the Bible changed my view on Biblical economics. Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
I think you should finish the sentence (verse 24): "knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ." The context (verse 22) is also "you" being a "slave". So put together, I interpret this as: The Lord will reward you, though you may not receive earthly reward for your work. Quite different from prosperity gospel.
I used to gloss over the sloth and sluggard verses but I do believe that the verses with the words sloth and sluggard are inspired: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
I don’t understand why we get so into these false dichotomies. Prosperity requires both sound personal stewardship AND economic equity so that everyone has an equitable opportunity to prosper when they practice good stewardship. Why does it have to be either/or? Why not both/and? The Bible definitely teaches both.
Those "name it and claim it" preachers have totally twisted people's perception of prosperity. Seek first the kingdom and all these things will be added to you. Prosperity doesn't mean having everything you want it means being at peace with what you have and learning to live within the limits of where you are.
Other people’s abuses of biblical prosperity is what’s resulted in most people immediately labeling ANYONE who talks about money in the church. Its sad
Ruslan is basically stating the most basic universal principle of cause and effect that God has put into place. “You reap what you sow”. We all will eat the fruits of our labor.
I agree with all that your saying, my problem with prosperity preaching are those "preachers" who preach prosperity are not teaching that, they teach prosperity coming from giving them money and poof you will prosper while they fly around in one of their 2 or 3 jets while you send them your grocery money. they are teaching people to give to receive something back which is not how the blessing works.
Exactly! I'll admit if I hear prosperity I immediately think Joel Olsteen, Kenneth Copeland, Mike Todd ect. I don't assume they mean rule of 1/5ths or Proverbs or parable of talents. 997 times out of 1000, it's give and receive ten fold, pay for prayer.
Gospel is the Good News! That should be our focus. Most people can’t focus on two different jobs. If I chase the jobs I’m ofered in L.A. I would have to quit serving in ministry in Bakersfield. And most of my brothers never serve because they prosperously travel to L.A for their jobs. It’s hard to make conclusions on who’s right. *Prosperity Gospel claims Money will fall from the Roof if you give the Preacher more money with faith. Prosperity by applying Bible Principles is God’s Wisdom, NOT GOSPEL
keep speaking truth my brother, God wants all his children to be successful/ prosper but it is up to us to work and multiply the gifts God has given each one of us.
Thanks Rus, so many people here an evangelical pastor give a proverbs based prosperity sermon, and they immediately start reeeing about "words of faith" and "investing" and really it's just as you explained.
felt pretty convicted by this, not the prosperity gospel part but the not being financially stable. It's hard being in so much debt and not able to make a dent. I gotta change something

Proverbs 24 - 33A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, 34and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man. And John 3 - 27John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven Are simultaneously true. Like praying for a good Job and God gives you one and you don't show up. There is 2 sides to this. At the end of the day. Desire to live a quite life and work with your hands. Be smart with spending as well. Be content in any and every situation.
I agree somewhat with fatalism. Hard work is to success what buying a lottery ticket is to winning the lottery. Just because you do, doesn't mean you win. There are tons of people who work hard all their lives and it amounts to nothing.
My wife was "hypergamous"and unfaithful and I eventually had to leave her due to her mental instability and alcohol addiction. I was her 2nd husband. My other relationships have prospered but ultimately I believe we were unequally yoked.
So we. have "the faith of Abraham" or the faith of Paul. Actually, both practiced the same faith. But Abraham became a wealthy herdsman. And Paul, with his relatively meager living as a tentmaker and unwaged evangelist, was imprisoned. Prosperity and calamity are only the means to an end, not the ends themselves. Then what is the end? (John 17:3 perhaps?)
When is enough enough? I see Homeless people with zero preachers out there preaching, GIVING, and delivering them? Jesus taught to give to the poor. When do you look at your money and say that you are more than well off, and it’s time to help others who can’t pay rent or pay for groceries? Pastors like this always have multiple ways to “donate” plastered all over social media without getting outside and helping those who need it and aren’t just sitting down on the internet all day .
@blessgodstudios Thank you for breaking this down and not letting this slide. We can’t all be 1% when it comes to finances but we can live debt free. We can have an emergency fund. We can leave an inheritance for our children’s children. That inheritance might not allow your kids to never work again but it can help them get their first house.
wow, your idea is very typical of modern preacher regarding this topic. I used to think like you until face with difficulty in life (many season in different way) beyond my control. Things that happened not because of the decision I made but just because it happened. I am a kind who try to choose the right decision. You surely don’t understand that comment. Suffering comes in life and God’s allow it. But it goes in saying that when it rain it pours because series of unfortunate event trail when this things happened. We see in movies and people’s testimony how they get through certain hardship but sometimes it’s not one hardship, it’s one hardship after another. It’s overwhelming. Bad things happen to good people. People have different cross to bear. And we can unite it to the cross of Christ. I remembered when my heart beat so slow that I feel like I can die (but not dying) because of heartbreak, without knowing what to do I offer it to God and the vision of Christ carrying the cross comes to me and understands how it unites as a vine to Him. I know where that comment comes from and that teaching of the church is not teach in denominations, that’s why you don’t understand. We are in the land of exile. The agenda is to go back home, a place that God has for us from the start of our creation. But nothing unclean can get through the kingdom of God and some purging happens here on earth. I like most of your content. God bless.
People love using the account of Job to justify that whole suffering beyond your control beliefs. But they don’t think or talk about what happened to Job in the end. He was faithful to God, never cursed Him despite what he went through. At the end of the story, he was wealthier than ever before. He even had more children! His suffering was temporary.
You are making a lot of assumptions. I have had several major tragedies happen all together. The churches I have tried to belong to and even volunteered in have walked away from me during the challenges. Repeatedly, I heard obviously I was not right either God and my life was too hard. Hardest part was not having community support from other believers was the biggest struggle that broke me the most. I was still responsible to take care of my stuff, but having that love, support and people to knock opinions and ideas around with would have been priceless. I am starting to put the pieces back together again. Found a new church to be involved in and taking things one step at a time trusting God.
That’s why he said “generally” about everything. Because generalizations exist for a reason. For most of us if we follow the plan laid out by the Bible we’ll be totally fine. Tragedies happen but they tend to be the outlier, not the rule. I’m sorry that all happened to you and I’m very very happy it seems you are getting back on track. We love you, God loves you. Have a blessed day ❤️
@@christian1648 The problem is I know a lot of people in other parts of the country who have had the same experiences. Unfortunately, my experience is not an outlier. Also, with the number of churches I have been associated with, none rose above the fray. I am feeling more hopeful with my current church. Still some challenges, but I can say they are trying. They are also honest with the fact they don’t know how to respond to trauma. I do appreciate the authenticity and honesty. That is so important when it comes to building enduring relationships.
With GOD it is more about why a person does something than what they do. If a person is money motivated they have no fellowship with GOD. Money motivated people fellowship with money and everything they do is motivated to make a prophet. On the other hand for those that are GOD motivated money is just a tool to do the will of GOD. And money is a very good tool. It is the motivation of the heart that will determine how GOD views our actions.
You need to have more compassion for those who didn’t get taught this stuff. They’re not crazy they’re just like you if you didn’t learn everything you did. Lean not unto your own understanding.
I just want to say I grew up since I was born on the prosperity Gospel preachers. The most famous ones on TV. The part in the video around 7 minutes in when you talk about going out and watering the land and collecting the harvest, that's exactly what they preach. 😂 Now in recent years I haven't been involved as much, but ever since I was a kid growing up it's been commonly said by them that you're prosperous so you can be a blessing to others. And their stories often start off with the fact that God's going to require that. You be good to others financially even with you having almost nothing, before you grow and get blessed to having everything. The fact that you're going to have to water your own field and take care of your own crops and all that kind of stuff. That's been the theme since I was a kid. They teach it at the children's academy when you go to the Kenneth Copeland convention.
I like your videos but this video is a bit silly. Not everyone can be wealthy, there is not enough wealth to go around for that. There are people who have faced more adversity than you and "get out of debt" isn't as easy as a snap of the fingers. It can take many many years and even then, obtaining a meaningful wealth is just not in the cards for everyone and even the Word reflects that. I feel like this is a self justification message for the wealth you've obtained, I only hope you use more of your wealth to support others than on your self (home, cars, clothes, vanity in general). You only need a certain amount to live comfortably.
Man thanks so much for pointing this out! It's so sad and in my opinion even tribalistic to think that the slightest teaching on being a good steward of finances and learning how to properly grow wealth and be blessed financially is immediately labeled "prosperity gospel". There are so many Christians that have made very poor financial decisions that have caused many to live beyond their means by not budgeting, and/or constantly spending money on things they don't need. This is very much in line with healthy living where you have so many Christians constantly eating things they shouldn't and we have an obesity epidemic in our nation. Also is it fair to say you can get just as out of balance by thinking it's "God's will for me to be poor" as it is saying it's "his will for me to be rich?" Stop labeling pastors that mention in a message about being "blessed financially" as heretics. Listen to their entire sermon and compare it properly (not with your biased narrative) against the scriptures.
Some of us are ment to be aligned with Gods purpose...that way we dont get our blessings beforehand and ruin it all cuz it wasn't at a right time...the world's way is start from the Top..end at the bottom...Gods way is..start at the bottom so once ur at the top...u appreciate the gain...and God provides long term like a mango tree😊😊(just Heard that today in church)👍❤️
Also, don’t forget prosperity gospel will take the practical advice and use as a step off into the grander ideas of manifesting anything you want. So maybe that is why it initially sounds like prosperity gospel…but it is not
This is God speaking in Joshua 1:8 NLT: [8] Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
My belief in jesus is what helps me push through tough times. It has helped me push through with building new skill sets, which in turn i can use to help people.
God has given all of us 1 mortal life in which we decide whether or not to have faith in Jesus regardless of whatever circumstances may happen to us. [Many people have not even heard the name Jesus. But still, they can determine whether they will help those in need. Which is the gist of our decision.] I am approaching the end of my life. I have come to regret not helping more people rather than satisfying myself (much of which were harmless activities). All of us who have faith in Jesus will have great eternal joy. Joy probably would have been much greater if I had help more people in this life.
@@BlessGodStudios true! What I've heard you do, is tell people how to be financially responsible from a Christian point of view vs preaching prosperity.
I didn't watch the video, but I read some of the comments. With all due respect to those that have it all figured out, I don't need anyone that hasn't gone through a Job experience for years upon years to tell me anything about suffering, or how "the Christian life should work." Yes, some people DO go through experiences that are described in the Bible, that are closer to the experience expected by the Christians of old...even if they are the outliers today, especially in the West. When you tell part of your life's story and you have counselors and pastors left with their jasw hanging, then you are probably a little bit "different." And yes, some have the impression they are in this rare class, while they go through self-inflicted pain due to various reasons. Still, some legit go through it and not for their fault. There are saints living in agony. And when you (if you) go through 10% of what they survived, one day, and will be ready to leave God and maybe even this life in frustration, you will welcome a shoulder so full of scars it feels inhuman anymore, to lean and cry on. Until then, they are "the odd ones out", the judged, the ones both the world and even mature but not tried-betond-reasonable Christians can't understand. And you will see these anonymous folks one day shining brighter than you, for having suffered and served in silence. Explain the typical Christian walk to someone whose partner turns their back on God, divorces her, she loses her job, all her three children are killed in a crash by a drunk driver, then she is found with terminal brain cancer, now without health insurance. (This is not a particular person, but a similar scenario to a few real-life ones. Improbable? Yes. Impossible? No.) Tell her how she shold spend her money wisely. God may work a miracle in her case, or He may not. Faith does not twist His arm - He is still sovereign, and some thick skull Charismatics (at the opposite spectrum of raging Calvinists) still don't get that. Some of you are living in a bubble. I had people telling me, a Continuationist to be more precise so open and having experienced miracles documented beyond any doubt by those able to do so, that the martyrs died in the arenas because they didn't have enough faith for God to pull them out of there. I'd be curious how their personal "decree and declare" worked the last time they attempted a teleportation. Sure, God works miracles everyday. He could have let them out, like Peter from the prison. However, He didn't. The proper attitude is that of the three young boys in front of the furnance.
Aside from prosperity, many Christians don't even know what the gospel really is because they are too busy being taught be so called pastors, preachers, & teachers instead of Jesus...Jesus called it the gospel of the kingdom 3 times, He preached it in parables as seeds, & He also preached it w/ signs, wonders, & miracles that followed & said we would also do what He did & even greater...then in Corinthians it says one plants, one waters, & God gives the increase....Jesus also said He did & spoke what He heard the Father say & do...He spoke words of wisdom, like the woman at the well, & in wisdom knew which commandment to use to speak to the rich man who said He wanted to follow Him...we think we can walk up to people & run our mouths, spouting out scripture, twisting it, & condemning people...the bible says it's God's goodness or kindness that leads to repentance...in order for someone to have a change of mind, they have to be told what is right & good because they are not there when living in sin...people are already aware they are sinning & the bible says that everyone is under the law & condemned...we as Christians need to get over ourselves & let the Holy Spirit be our teacher & show us what to do & say or we will answer to God for turning people away from Him w/ our religious minded attitudes
Ok, let me comment on the live on less and the average American living on 104% of income. Saving and living below your means WAY harder than you make it sound. With housing and food prices outpacing income increases, that is EXTREMELY difficult even for the financially conservative. I know from experience. I don’t even have the time here but I promise it’s not that simple. I’m speaking as someone who is college educated with a middle class job plus I do gig work to make ends meet. I do my own hair and nails, use my phones and cars until the wheels are falling off, and have only one child. I don’t have cable and we don’t eat out unless we have to. I’m like a lot of people. It’s all rent, food, transportation and health expenses. Not as easy as you make it sound.
@@BlessGodStudios going to have to agree to disagree on the “simple” part. The principals are simple. The application is not. Lots of jumping through hoops. Going back to the drawing board, and grinding until within an inch of collapse some time. Maybe we just have different notions of what “simple” is. Or maybe we’re talking about different things.
@@charliewhitedirector Well that's why he differentiated simple from easy. The principles are quite simple but the application is hard. Nothing's changed since the time of Adam and Eve.
@@dahliaherrod4301 That was my fault because I interchanged simple and easy in my reply. I understand him differentiating between simple and easy. What I’m saying is that the application is both difficult AND complicated when navigating all the factors. As are the solutions sometimes complicated beyond simple personal stewardship. Charity, Justice, faith, community- all of that and then some comes into play. All are Biblical. All play a role depending on the situation. All can be complicated. For anyone navigating any kind of difficulties really, I wouldn’t use the word “simple” because that is not how we experience things on this side of eternity. Sinfulness of mankind complicates everything. Whether personal or collective. It can be like navigating a maze sometimes to find our way through. Those experiences should not be minimized by the word simple because for a lot of people, obstacles are both difficult and complicated. That being said, I think we’re differing on semantics here and not the general principles. I’m not accusing him of preaching the prosperity gospel. I agree with most of what he said, it was wisdom. Not losing faith by any chance either. I agree that nothing at all is new under the sun. There is so much wisdom and encouragement for this journey in the Word of God because the saints been going the it since the beginning and the Lord is our help and our advocate.
@@charliewhitedirector gotcha. Can you give me an example of what you mean by a complicated situation? I ask because I think a lot of times us humans make solutions way more complicated than they really have to be
And don't forget that the prosperity gospel is also the promise of ten or a hundred fold return for those who tithe. At the very least, there is the insistence that "the floodgates of heaven will open" for everyone who tithes in the New Testament. But where tithing is derived from income is a mystery. Kind of hard to find that in the Bible. It's also a mystery to find it modeled in the early New Testament Church. There is just Paul saying to set aside money 'as it may well please you' (or as you have been prospered) each week so that when he comes, there will be no collections. And of course, there is Jesus telling the Pharisees what they SHOULD HAVE DONE (neither present nor future tense here and not commanded as part of the New Covenant - he could have said SHOULD BE DOING but didn't which lends credence that this Old Covenant law would pass away when all was fulfilled) in reference to tithing without neglecting the WEIGHTIER matters of the law.
True riches is wisdom and understanding. this parable is simply sending you back to Proverbs 8:19, then throws you back to Galatians 5:22-23, you can also see it in Revelation 3:18, also related to the 2 women wisdom and folly Matthew 25:1-13.
@@redwingblackbird8553 yes what I mean to point out is that prosperity gospel uses this to say the little is a little money and the much is a lot of money and that is not what the passage is saying
Pretty sure the prosperity doctrine is bazed in tithing the church as much as possible and getting more back and be saved. Jesus comment where he says it would be easier for a camel to pass through the head of a needle than a rich man get into heaven. It doesn't mean u should be poor. Hes saying the temptation for sin as rich man is much greater than a poor person. Money breeds sin in weak men.
great video ruslan. Glory to God! Ive has people try to tell me that if you accumulate any kind of wealth then you’re going to hell 😂 completely unbiblical
We are to set the example. ..Our God owns cattle on a thousand hills....When Jesus was born the wise men gave him gold silver frankincense ect.. Jesus i believe made a wonderful living ...The Lord doesn't want us in debt period..Taking care of your family so they dont have to struggle...Oh didnt Jesus tell peter to go fishing and open the fishes mouth and found enough to pay his taxes and peters taxes...
Prosperity gospel is not the issue, prosperity gospel is only a portion of the gospel. Some Churches seem to only speak and focus on the prosperity side of the gospel and not the Whole Gospel. Why not teach THE GOSPEL, the, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, SIN, repentance, forgiveness AND prosperity. 😂 Prosperity is the topic for every Sunday! lol sin repentance is not that important anymore. Smh like we don’t need to repent anymore. Sad!
The richest people including those who don’t follow God apply his biblical principles for finances and are wildly successful so yeah I think I’ll stick to Gods plan lol 😂
The way I view the prosperity gospel is when people believe God wills every Christian to prosper. Sometimes God will is for some to suffer. Nothing wrong with God prospering someone in their finance, health, relationships but that doesn’t mean it’s God will for every believer. But I feel you Ruslan, everyone has different views on what the prosperity gospel is haha. I can see why you got so frustrated trying to explain to people what may seem so plain in the Bible.
I would have to disagree with you on choosing your suffering. Paul did not get to choose that he was going in chains to rome. God prophesied that through agabus and others
I dont think that was his point. I think he meant to choose your suffering as in choosing to being willing to suffer for God. Paul prob knew fully well that he would be persecuted time after time preaching the gospel, but he chose to keep at it. Of course that doesnt mean he knows the future.
Matthew 7:24: Jesus said wise men build houses. Was Jesus confused? “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: "wise man who built his house" - Jesus could have said wise men only "pup tents" or "wise men only lay on rocks".... - Jesus did not say that he said: A wise man who built his house.. Jesus could have said : wise people do not even own houses ... He could have said wise men only lay their heads on rocks. But Jeus did not say that. Jesus could have said: I am Jesus and let me say this: Talking about building your house is a form of prosperity false gospel but Jesus did not say that. Is Matthew 7:24 in your Bible? It is in mine? Is there a version of the Bible where Matthew 7:24 is not there?
Let’s be real. You will prosper better by utilizing what the Bible says to do. But I think using the term “Prosperity Gospel” is bad because it’s a term used by many that basically says give us this money and God will give it back, plus heretical teaching that says whatever you want you will always get it if you say it in faith. Or you can control the weather or something. The Gospel itself teaches you will prosper but it’s nothing like what these overly rich televangelists talk about. We know what they are really after
To add to the “ask in faith and you will get it part” God is faithful and will provide. But we sometimes want things that are selfish and unneeded, and we must realize our God will give us what we truly need. That means not getting something. Not because you didn’t have enough faith but because it isn’t something you need. Sometimes He also will test us and see if we are relying on Him for something to happen or our own abilities. You have no idea how many times my wife and I were worried about money but God pulled us through outta nowhere. He provides. Just do your part and know that you did your end. He will help you.
dont really care for the condescending tone to the commenter. made it difficult to listen to. also saying the chat disagrees with him doesnt mean anything. the blind will lead the blind and all will fall into a ditch. a reality of the world that this channel doesnt seem to understand is not every christian is capable of amassing wealth to care for the least of these for whatever reason that might be and the overall point it is the least of these are not even being cared for. also this one of the least prosperous times for the working class. not everyone can recycle other peoples content on youtube and make a million dollars buddy.

My work isn't to store up treasures on earth. I know many Christians who work their life away, and forget about the things that matter. Than impose their lifestyles onto others. This doesn't mean I don't work. I do carpentry. I just don't revolve my life around it, like most Prosperity teachers. Many who I have met, and even tried to put myself under. I never made the claim you can identify a “successful” christian by how big their house is. A lot of people assume that the word prosperity is actually being used accurately in the term "prosperity gospel." But the prosperity Gospel should actually be called "materialism gospel."
The words sloth and sluggard in the Bible changed my view on Biblical economics. Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
Yes and proverbs says to not owe a lender..
I think you should finish the sentence (verse 24): "knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ."
The context (verse 22) is also "you" being a "slave". So put together, I interpret this as: The Lord will reward you, though you may not receive earthly reward for your work. Quite different from prosperity gospel.
1 Corinthians 14:40
Let all things be done decently and in order.

I used to gloss over the sloth and sluggard verses but I do believe that the verses with the words sloth and sluggard are inspired:
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

i love what they said "the stability gospel" lol. i think thats a great little term which im on board w/ 100 percent

That was a great way to explain prosperity when considering finances and not going all Word Faith movement. It stayed scriptural and it's appreciated
Awesome point!!! The Bible says the truth!!! Believe it!!!
"That's freaking farming, fam!" Thank you, best thing I've heard.
So we. have "the faith of Abraham" or the faith of Paul.
@blessgodstudios
Thank you for breaking this down and not letting this slide.
I would absolutely buy a “that’s freaking farming fam” shirt and hoodie

"That's Farming Fam" Proverbs 12:11

With all due respect to those that have it all figured out, I don't need anyone that hasn't gone through a Job experience for years upon years to tell me anything about suffering, or how "the Christian life should work."
Yes, some people DO go through experiences that are described in the Bible, that are closer to the experience expected by the Christians of old...even if they are the outliers today, especially in the West.
When you tell part of your life's story and you have counselors and pastors left with their jasw hanging, then you are probably a little bit "different."
And yes, some have the impression they are in this rare class, while they go through self-inflicted pain due to various reasons.
Everything said on both sides of this discussion was all presupposition.
Yes it is EXTREMELY difficult. Yet it is simple. Simple but not easy. Keep going.
I ask because I think a lot of times us humans make solutions way more complicated than they really have to be
I'm curious what bro believes that we are supposed to use to align our finances??? The Bible is very clear on money.
In this passage the little is earthly riches and the much is "true riches" ie not money right?
True riches is wisdom and understanding. this parable is simply sending you back to Proverbs 8:19, then throws you back to Galatians 5:22-23, you can also see it in Revelation 3:18, also related to the 2 women wisdom and folly Matthew 25:1-13.

Jesus comment where he says it would be easier for a camel to pass through the head of a needle than a rich man get into heaven. It doesn't mean u should be poor. Hes saying the temptation for sin as rich man is much greater than a poor person. Money breeds sin in weak men.

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: "wise man who built his house"
- Jesus could have said wise men only "pup tents" or "wise men only lay on rocks"....

They are shallow, and from I have seen only follow God with their lips.

Wisdom says you should save. Proverbs says you should save. It also says a righteous man leaves an inheritance for his grandchildren
@@BlessGodStudios Common sense says that one should save. I grant that proverbs, and a general biblical lifestyle are great- to an extent. I work with Mennonites, and see how even they have lost the point of many things they profess to seek. Yes it can replace salvation for some. But salvation should lead us living according to the wisdom of God’s word.
