How many bands, of any genre, can compose and perform instrumentals of this caliber? This is balanced, powerful, emotionally charged. A guitar opera. In my opinion, this is a heavy metal symphony Band-Maid is one of the most important musical artists to appear in generations
I do agree I wish more people in NA took notice so they could hit a city near me in Canada. I believe a lot of musicians could learn just by listening to their music
Let’s hope someone takes notice of Kanami’s unique compositions and commissions her to do a movie score. Love to have Band-Maid do the next James Bond theme!
These LADIES have no fear with their music. They have total control of their music starting with writing the songs as a team effort through to the order of the songs for their albums. This year they are getting the recognition they deserve. Covid screwed all bands, but the Japanese bands with very large Fans bases the West were especially hit. Band-Maid has more Masterpieces than any band I've come across in my 59 years of spinning 'round the sun, and it's not ...even...close. "From now on" is one of those Masterpieces. (pssst. Hey Kanami, we need a song titled "Not Even Close"). Thanks much, Sycho! 🕊

They are also excellent on their acoustic songs. The go to are the Live acoustic versions of Puzzle, and Anemone. There is also a more recent live acoustic of Catharsis, that is on their youtube channel.
The Aristocrats (Band) - Guthrie Govan (Lead G.), by far, he is an Alien, Po! Kanami must have a "ballad-like" instrumental in her files somewhere as an homage to Carlos Santana's "Europa." Now, that would be epic, Po! 🦍🍌
not everyone agrees that this is their best instrumental, Without holding Back and Onset live are also contenders plus the instrumental version of Giovanni (original has vocals) has to be thrown into the mix
When Band-Maid play live the set is often 2+ hours long. Saiki the lead singer had vocal surgery in the past so with sets that long they are really careful of her voice. So mid set Miku (rhythm guitarist) will do her infamous and hilarious "Magic Time" MC set plus a Miku vocal song (she normally has one per album) and an instrumental track. Then Saiki come back on. So they have a few instrumental songs to choose from. Check out "Onset" live for another instrumental banger. My favourite instrumental by them is "Giovanni", usually a vocal track, but if you can find the "white room" instrumental MV to "Giovanni" it will blow your mind. Saying all that my favourite Band-Maid tracks have Saiki on vocals.
@@SychoNation Yeah, they really care about each other a lot. Saying that they wind each other up on and off stage constantly for fun. It's hilarious to witness. They adore each other and they adore their fans too. They are lovely ego free humans, it's a big part of why they are loved so much. Their back story is incredible too, they have overcome so much to be where they are today, we are all very proud of them. (When they excitedly showed off their first ever tour bus I literally cried)!
They have 3 other exclusively instrumentals, which are all also great. Without Hilding Back (Blueray video only), Onset (which has an official live on their channel), and Don't Be Long ( there is a live out there, but I suggest the studio audio)

Kanami in full 'Minchozilla' mode! ❤🔥Yes, B-M without Saiki is not complete, but even 4/5 of this band are better than so many others. :) You can find two more very nice videos of Kanami under the titles "Kanami goes wild. Hamburg 26/06/2019" and "Bochum 2019-06-24 21.54.22 BAND-MAID モラトリアム (Moratorium) with Kanami's solo". Both show a very similar solo. Great reaction. Glad you enjoy that instrumental. Not sure anyone mentioned it yet, but there's another worthwhile, but shorter, instrumental that Band-Maid recently recorded. Since you've done No God you should probably also do Puzzle from the same concert. Saiki, the lead vocalist, shows her chops in it as Kanami the lead guitarist did hers in this one.
This is a song for Saiki (v) in two senses. First, she wanted an instrumental to open their most recent ep. Second, the band incorporates an instrumental along with a song featuring Miku (rhythm and vocals) to give Saiki a break mid-set.
@@SychoNation that's a straight instrumental. They have four published as instrumentals (Onset, Without Holding Back, Don't Be Long, From Now On).
