    Great video. Doing these dynamic sessions really helped improve my free diving. Not only the CO2 tolerance and general physical conditioning, but finning technique and learning to keep mind & body relaxed when feeling terrible was a huge benefit.

      that's exactly the benefit of co2 tables. people think it's about co2, and off course it is, but it's more about you swimming laps and getting overall better in everything. The tables are merely a structure to get you going. peace !

    So if you’re increasing your time, are you also increasing your time under water? ie; 1 minute would be 30 seconds under water and 30 second rest. 1:30 would be 45 under, 45 rest?

      it doesn't matter. only total time matters. find your rhythm.
      that being said, if you need 45 seconds to complete a 25m lap, then you need to work on your technique and stop doing these tables. you need to learn how to swim underwater first.

    What’s the difference between O2 and CO2 training when you do the intervals in the pool? Do you do them on inhale, passive exhale or force exhale?

      Co2 on full lungs, O2 depends : can be on full lungs and can be on FRC

    what are the respiratory problems u can get if u overdo co2 tables and how to know that u already have a respiratory problem

      i don't see what resp problems you can get from co2 tables. what you can get is overtraining, loss of motivation and eventually getting sick if you do too much of it. If you think you have a respiratory condition you should see a doctor. cheers

      impossible to answer that question but less is more. Dont go crazy on how much, in stead focus on how you feel, technique, an overall enjoyment. Those things are way more important !

    25 meters no even whit rock to my neck I probably get stuck in a branch before I get to the bottom

    No matter how much ur panicking to breathe, can u just continuing to tell urself to shut up? I start thinking holy crap I gotta breathe and it feels like alarms going off in my head. I only surface because idk if itll affect me if I just ignore it. Like could I just keep going even if I feel like I cant hold it anymore?

      Ive done that with running. I have a Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome, so in order for me to perform equally to others, I have to train so much harder. That means with something like running, I FORCE myself to breathe normally even if that means im woozy or anything. It helps, my mind is screaming to breathe, but I dont let it. That ok?

      Always dive with a buddy. In case you black out this person can save your life. Go gradually. Step by step. Learn to understand your busy signals.

      yes we're talking freediving so no breathing.

    Good information BUT I don't believe it was mentioned once the criticality of doing this with a trained buddy to minimise the risk of death.

      correct. I assume whoever is at this advanced stage of freediving doesnt need any disclaimers anymore. but youre right

      @@lyntonhowes5154 I understand your reasoning, but a disclaimer is not gonna stop people from doing what they do. People who freedive alone know very well what are the risks. they do it anyway. it's not the responsibility of the video maker, it's the responsibility of the diver. 🙏

      Hi Costas I don't have experience with a static bike, but you can treat is a apnea walking. Please watch my video HOW TO APNEA WALK. If you understand the principles just apply it to the bike ✌️

      hi Dercio! well.. if you have access to a pool and you don't do open water diving, then i'd say a couple of times per week is fine. don't over do it. Especially when you do hard CO2 tables your body needs to recover. Also, you might wanna mix it up with other types of training like technique, or going to the gym, or maybe a static session. Enjoy! :-)

      @@derciopinto9350 all depends on your level. There are no blueprint answers. Every athlete has to be looked at individually. Like i suggested in the video, start doing 10 laps with 1' interval (Bifins). Evaluate. Was it easy or hard? From there you adjust for the next session. Yes you can do 3 times Co2 tol training per week. I will make new video with examples of Co2 tol tables. Thanks for asking and stay tuned ✌️

    I just started my co2 training im my bathtub i can barley hold in 10 second do i just surpass my limits?

    Hey Gert great vid! Im wondering when is best to train O2 levels? Im a novice beginner and there is a lot of conflicting info out there on using co2 and o2 tables! Thank you

      hi Rich, for most people and especially beginners the limiting factor is usually co2 tolerance, and not hypoxia (low levels of oxygen). So focus on co2 training, which is basically any kind of training with repetitive dives. Forget about O2 training for at least the next 2 years :-) Cheers :-)
