When the coach calls you out in the Playoffs

  • It was another great regular season for David Pastrnak. 47 goals, 110 points and comfortably the team leader in both. However, it hadn’t been so in the playoffs. A rough first round, he had just 2 goals and 4 points through 6 games which led to his own coach Jim Montgomery publicly calling him out for needing to be better. On the other side, we had another 88 in William Nylander. Noticeably out of the series the first 3 games, he came back and scored the only 2 goals for the leafs in their 2-1 victory in game 6. So, coming into what was now a 4th consecutive game 7 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, the question was would it be a number 88 who could be the difference maker? Spoiler, the answer was yes!
In typical Leafs fashion where the drama never sleeps, pre-game we learned that while Auston Matthews was back, Woll was out which meant we got Samsonov between the pipes for Toronto and Swaymen for the Bruins. The game was another wild one, so sit back and enjoy as I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

@@twostraightdads526 Dude, it’s a collective result. Both sides have some responsibility in regards to that goal.
Have you even played as a hockey goaltender before, and at a competitive level?
If not, I’m leaving this where it’s at. You have to understand and know the mentality at the position to understand where the goalie holds an amount accountability on that play respectively.
This isn’t about the eye test.

Montgomery wasn't having ANY Diva Sh#t😁 Boston isn't Toronto, they have a Winning culture and EXPECT no less.. Sorry not sorry, Toronto leafs have soo MUCH talent with LITTLE Accountability 🥴 If BOSTON had the leaf's ROSTER with Montgomery they WOULD be in the Cup Finals year AFTER YEAR😏✌️

Considering how Sway is playing, & Maroon brings in some sorely needed muscle, AND that Florida couldn't beat us all year (yes folks 0 - 4 wins....
      30 October 2023 - 3-2 Bruins
      22 November 2023 - 3-1 Bruins
      26 March 2024 - 4-3 Bruins
      April 6 2024 - 3-2 Bruins)
that's a pretty arrogant prediction. But what do you expect from a fan of a team whose coach said that the most suspended player in NHL history gets aaaaaaall the calls 😂

@@munkustrap2 Florida only pays the refs for the playoffs not the regular season. But in all seriousness Montgomery needs to call out Maroon next. Leafs were 1-21 on their pp and maroon looked scared to take a penalty. Guy was invisible the whole series. He needs to REALLY step up against florida because thats the whole reason we got him.

Toronto is a joke. Big 4 eating +40mil and the heart of the team. I don't mind Leafs sucking but its sad to see them wasting Nylander and Matthews careers.
