I've thought about this too, but why would Springfield canibalize itself by coming out with an echelon micro compact that would eat into sales of its hellcat? I agree that it would be very popular gun, if it was to happen
@@SigAXG320 id say they will phase out the hellcat line up, its pretty obvious a micro or compact echelon with the new optic system is desired more, plus the hellcat slide serrations are weak, I love my hellcat pro but echelon is a better gun in everyway

In your opinion, now that you are carrying the CR920X...how does the Pro Comp shoot compared to the CR920X? Is there a big difference in recoil?
I got mine ported by Laser Blade Engraving with the 6 inline ports and its amazing. Sending my other one out to Patriot Cnc for their slim line port which is basically a small chunck port like that. They do the resest flush crown, port and single cerakote for less than 200. Great reviews too!!!

Looks good to me, I carried the Hellcat RDP before the OA Compact Pro and never had an issue at the range with all types of ammo. It really did well with plus ammo but if the CR920P was released earlier I may have just went with another SS model.

What is a lane? I don’t shoot in those 😂. It’s also a pistol and not aggressive of blast like a rifle

Thanks a lot I just that Hellcat Pro like four months ago now I have to buy another one. 😂 . Somebody like came out with the same barrel comp system as shadow system for the hellcat. I think I'm going that direction. If I buy another Hellcat it would definitely be comped.

I have still not seen anything to make me want to not carry my XR920P and the shield plus pc as my back up. It would take one helluva gun to change my mind. Both are phenomenal and highly recommended for anyone. The XR920 knocked the Walther PDP out of my waistband and into my glovebox. That’s saying something!

XR920 is my main squeeze! Like a great 4x4 truck. And I have a new Staccato P. More of a weekend sports coupe. About to dump my G43X for the CR920X.

Curious to know how much velocity you lose on the rounds with the chunk port barrel and would itbhave any affect on how hollow points expand when coming from an already fairly short barrel that was my main reason for going with the pro over the original hellcat give up some concielability to gain a little more ballistic performance and a bit more grip
I think some data was out with the p365 version being they shortened the barrel to achieve their "comp" but the smaller the barrel the more issue you could have running ammo to full potential. I don't think it was enough to make any issues on expansion.
So, I have XDMod2's both 9mm & 40cal. Is this enough of an improvement for me to make the change? I have 2xl hands and use the hi-cap mags to fit my grip.

You know what I'm going to ask: how does this shoot compared to the SS cr920p? Does the cr920p still get the nod in terms of shootability/recoil/muzzle rise? As an aside, I've read the p365 x macro still shoots flatter than the new hellcat pro comp.

My wife wants a compact size gun. She likes my M&P 2.0 but I was steering her towards a PDP-F, SIG XMacro, SSMR920. Thoughts on the Hellcat fitting into this equation?

This is the first I've heard of the Hellcat Pro Comp version. So congratulations on getting the scoop.
When I see comped guns, I always have the same question: How much velocity are you giving up to get the recoil reduction. This is my knock against the SIG comped slide models (ie the XMacro Comp), they go from a 3.7" barrel in the non-comp, to a 3.1 inch barrel with the slide comp. .6" of barrel length will move the needle on velocity. But the Hellcomp Pro here has a properly ported barrel, with a fairly small port. It might not lose too much velocity. You don't own a chronograph, do you? I'd love to see you comp the ported vs non-ported version.
No I own the Garmin Xero C1 chronograph so I have one but the reality is for the purpose of this pistol that loss in velocity is negligible as it translates to energy and performance and especially when you look at the trade in off. Not saying it’s nothing; but the trade off in my opinion is well worth it.

I just don’t like the box feel of the grip. Would have to get some sort of grip tape or something to offset the corner feel. The small hellcat is fine but it pinches me. I like it but I’m more interested in the FN reflex because it’s the best of both worlds. Would definitely buy that hellcat tho.
Same thing with the CR920P vs the regular CR920. The comp version is just better. Cost does play its part too though and 600 bucks sounds like a good value.

Just looking for clarification. I thought a comp was something you can put on or take off of the gun for muzzle rise. And port was something that is actually integrated on the actual slide/barrel itself.

I love the pro. It’s my edc. I don’t see why people say it’s so snappy at its size it shoots great imo. Not far from a Glock 19. But it fits my hand like a glove so that could be the reason. Not to say I wouldn’t port it in the future I’ve thought about it a lot of grabbing another to do it to. But I’m not itching to do it do to it being “snappy” just for fun because I love the gun that much. Fave carry gun I’ve ever shot
If you watch enough videos on RUclips (and even if you don’t), it’s obvious. Smaller guns will always be snappy / snappier. They simply don’t carry the weight that bigger guns do.

I am intrigued by this new offering but it is not really a "Comp" but a ported barrel. Semantics.....I get it but want to get my hands on one to shoot. I have several "comped" guns (Walther PDP Pro SDs) and have shot the RDP which sucks in my opinion and the 365XL with "Expansion Chamber" which I like. Will have to see if my LGS gets one in and what the street price is. I have the HellCat Pro and love it, if this shoots as well, I may have to add it.

@@HuntFishShootChannel Just spoke with my LGS and they have one set aside for me to come and see. Will probably end up buying it and may have to retire the regular HC Pro if this one shoots as well as everyone is saying.

@@HuntFishShootChannel Finally had a chance to shoot my Hellcat Pro Comp today, put 325 rds through it along side my regular Hellcat Pro, must say I agree it is a noticeable difference in shooting but both are great. A few more trips to the range and will be adding the Hellcat Pro Comp to my carry rotation.

So the only thing I noticed when you're shooting that would probably help make you faster when you grab your shirt grab it at the middle of your sternum and pull up from there instead of your hand traveling all the way to the bottom of your shirt your hand travels to the middle of your shirt faster range of motion and you can pull up from there
You are right! I agree 100 percent. Unfortunately when we film I’m wearing a microphone so if I grab right there I’ll yank on the cord and screw up the microphone

Springfield has basically followed Sig ever since the p365 release. I just got my new ccw gun and zeroed the optic and broke it in last weekend. A Shadow Systems CR920X. grip feels way better than the PRO. I did not like the square grip on PRO. digs into hand bad. the G43x or Shadow Systems CR920X feels way better. Not to mention the trigger on my CR920X is better than the PRO. I actually like my sons ORIGINAL Hellcat better! ( they kept saying improved trigger ever gen of the Hellcat but I guess if you market something as better people believe it . IMO the Original trigger felt better and lighter pull. Anyway. I really am liking my new CR920X same capacity as the PRO also. and will have the 18rd mags available soon too!

Yes we got is for “free”. Time, production costs, ammo costs aren’t free and cost more than the pistol, so you tell me if that is free.
In regards to it effecting my opinion? No it does not and never has, we have plenty of videos to support this, as well as comment sections where I regularly respond with my opinion that doesn’t always support the gun in question.
