This trunk and cupboard haven't been opened for some time. What will we find inside? #abandoned #mysterybox #picking Follow me on Instagram @paperandmoose
Had to laugh when you said “I ain’t using that on my nasals”. This clean out is quite the adventure on the years gone by. I hope you are checking the pockets on all those blazers.
Me thinks that ms. Moose and Tony need a counselor intervention based on Tony handing Ms moose the stinky bag and she refusing to do the heavy lifting-that was so funny. Really enjoying this clean out and your interaction with Tony.
Hi Renee. OMyGod! That place is full of stuff to sell. So glad you found paper to go through. What the heck did Tony find that was so smelly and funny? I could not stop 🛑 laughing. Tony is so funny 🤣 and amazing person. God Bless you Renee and Tony for all you two do. Take care. Mari'a. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍👋👋👋🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This clean-out is great fun to watch! I like that you show the dirty, unglamorous (and sometimes smelly!) side of clean outs. ;-) Great stuff in that place!
Speaking as one half of an old married couple - you guys sounded like an old married couple about the smells - and it was very entertaining. If that is a carousel horse - another good moneymaker! I was concerned while you were looking through that trunk that the lid was gong to come down on your hands. Having one slam on your hands or head is an exhilarating experience - I know of what I speak :). Seems like a good bit of MCM furniture in the house - does Tony think he will make good money on that? NYT had an article yesterday about the oldest, nearly complete Hebrew Bible (Codex Sassoon, 9th or 10th Century), which sold at auction Wednesday for $38.1M! Did that Torah look like it had some age on it? This is a great series - the good stuff / bad stuff ratio seems remarkably high. Can't wait to see more. Have a great Thursday!
The Torah looked like it was probably printed in the 50s, the binding looked too "new". I've got to find a Gutenberg or old Hebrew Bible somewhere! $38.1 Million?! Wow. I can't imagine ever finding something worth that much money! If I ever did, the thumbnail for that video would have to be really good haha. Fortunately, as you stated, the good heavily outweighs the items to be recycled or tossed. I can't imagine what would have happened if this place would have sat for a few more months, if mice and mold would have done a number on everything.
The children’s records in the original sleeves are a cool find! I enjoy watching these clean outs. My nose actually itches seeing all the dust. And I love Tony!
This is quite the clean out. Aww Raggedy Anne is awsome. Quite the man he was with all these different items huh! You keep going through all this stuff..never know!😃👍🌞🌴💞
"This is reality, people !" (the smelly incident, lol). Seems that this time you found a pretty neat gold mine, Renée (and Tony). Tons of interesting items like older baseball cards, railway items, model kits, books, records, a mysterious trunk etc. etc. The trunk itself looks like 19th century, it might be the original one when the forefathers of this guy immigrated to the U.S. No Gutenberg Bible so far, but tomorrow an original sheet from this book (or something similar 😉) will be on it´s way to Bloomsbury. Do you know any collectors of Kennedy memorabilia, Renée ? 😁 Have a nice and sunny Thursday, holiday over here (Christi Himmelfahrt). Greets from GER, U.
Do workers have off today for the holiday? Thank goodness that trunk wasn't up in that attic, I can imagine it taking a tumble down those small, windy stairs! My post office will be awaiting the package :0)
You may have already commented on this subject but here goes! What actually all the books you have come across at this home. So many books & paper but I can see where mold or something similar may have destroyed the items! Love watching.. makes me want to jump into the video and holler at the reading material “pick me, take me.. HELP!”😮😊
Oh wow, just amazes me what get put with what. 😮 That horse would have been great to see pulled out. Interesting things here. Thank you for sharing this dig with us. ~ Texas
all those railroad items are collectible from the ads to papers with letterheading . anything railroad is collectible. don't throw away ..ebay I saw a lamp with a lantern base. that could go for a good price to a railroad collector and dishes in the trunk or else where. I know what I am talking about . I worked for a railroad. and i am drooling over the railroad items I have seen and I am sure others are too take your time with the railroad . they can bring you a good profit
We went into a house in Saginaw Michigan that took the people 4 months and 3 dumpsters to get into! It was two brothers and a sister that saved everything and they had the first candy bar wrapper they ever bought saved and it had Mickey Mouse before Disney trademarked it. We bought them for 25 cents each, there were 4 of them and we sold them for 85.00 each! I guess you sent them in for a prize 😂. They were from Germany and went through the Great Depression and it left them so afraid. That was a few years ago and since then we have been through many homes like this and we always find amazing things that others believe are garbage. We absolutely love what we do and we love history and anyone else who loves it too. The only thing that I hate is the mouse poop , it makes my eyes swell up and my head hurt so bad so the gloves and mask are definitely a plus! Thank you for sharing your adventures ❤
That house sounds like it was an amazing job! I've heard stories about old candy wrappers selling for big bucks, wish that I could find some! I'm still not so patiently waiting for the "clean out of my dreams" :0)
I think people with very few relatives or friends might have more of an inclination to hoard…I know because that describes me. I have to fight the urge to hoard, it helps that I’m not able to get out very often. But, I can still have shipping done 🙄🤦🏼♀️. Before my brother passed, he hoarded, and to a smaller degree, my mom did, too. It’s sad, really, that hoarding is the only important thing to some people, it’s like that’s all they have in their life. Stay safe, Renee! ✌🏼❤️
Hoarding is sad, as you said - the "stuff" often becomes the most important thing in their lives. I'm just glad that we can take what this person kept throughout the years, even old bits of paper, and allow them to be enjoyed by someone else versus ending up in the trash.
Looks interesting, I have to look at your first segment..."Packed"...started, but it was late...like 2:45am! Off to bed did I! Looks like I see the side view of a 1948/9 Stromberg Carlson Radio/phono combo. These were quality sets in their time...still are to us collectors. Hope it finds a home, if I were near by, It would be in mine! I see an HO Train water tower, minus the support structure. Let's open the old smelly trunk...creeeaaaacccckkkkk...thump...creak...Ahhhhhhh...quick, close it!!!!! All those books bring to mind three neat books I got yesterday on my G.W, visit: The Building of the Brookland Bridge, from conception to completion, by David McCullough; Killing Patton, Bill O'Reilly & Martin Dugard; and one the lighter side; Look Before you Leap...a frog's-eye view of life's greatest lessons, by Kermit the Frog! This book is really too cute, featuring many shots of the amphibian star and how he hopped from a small pond to stardom! Besides the books, found a cute owl cookie jar, and a half a dozen interesting historical/documentary DVDs. Water...well, better than a rotting whatever! Bozo at the Circus...I had, and still have that album! Yep, they gutted the Stromberg...the fate of many of these consoles! You remind me of me...searching through those old 78 albums! Keep up the interesting work!
You always seem to do well at your thrift! Perhaps I'll take a better look at the book section the next time I go thrifting, never know what one might find! No frogs yet in this house, but I am on the look-out!
the water can with bottle could be railroad from a caboose. you need someone to help identify with railroad things ..I am afraid you are going to throw away some good stuff
All railroad items, from books to paperwork to trains, will either be researched or taken to the flea market. It's easier to spot the newer trains, plastic versus the tin/metal.
Renee, I take it Tony has a clean out business that he advertises? Does any of the heirs want this stuff or is it now Tony's as part of the deal. Love these videos.
Full clean out. To pick this might as well be a clean out, we really have to look in everything, at every piece of paper... things are tucked everywhere!
6:46 My family had milk delivered to their house in the 70s. I still have a couple of those cooler boxes with the styrofoam lining that would sit on the porch.
Hello Renee. All the bugs in the world couldn’t keep me away from this house, but I’d have to let it air out after Tony came by with the stinky stuff lol. Fabreeze it. I’m sure I would have died laughing if I was there with you and Tony with that bag lol. As it was I was laughing so hard I had to stop watching and use the restroom. 😂. This is a great clean out so far. Take care. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
He kept wondering what was making the bag smell because all he could see were crackers.... I'm thinking "I don't care what's making it smell, just get it out of here!" Haha :0)
It’s a fascinating house but your method of going through it gives me great anxiety. 😅 Not a criticism, it’s just me. Hoping there’s a recap of your treasure at the end.
So bread in a file cabinet, was it under 'B' for bread or 'S' for sliced bread? 😉 Stagnant water in the sink, just gonna have to dump it. Looks like some gems in there, just need to dig👍👍
Hahah! It could also have been filed by the brand, though it was just a loaf wrapped in plastic wrap. So, let's go with B for Bread. Honestly bread was the last thing that I'd ever expect to find in a file cabinet!
You should maybe take some Vick's or perfume to rub a little under your nose to help not smell the stink..😝😉 Thanks for sharing this and hopefully tomorrow will be full of treasures and good items Rene..🤔😍 Can't wait to see more of the baseball cards and old toys..😮 Take care..👍💕🔥👊
Yes, recycle as much as you can. One of my viewers just took in a consignment of 50's baseball card and was interesting to see what he valued them at. Dump those records (except the kid ones). ICK. 78's are not my friend. probably a song on one is Blazers and Cobwebs.
Two worst smells in my experience, open sewer 💩🤮 and rotting meat (discovery of broken freezer) 🤢😱 💐Reneé, bring a nosegay, essential oil, etc., you can whip out and whiff or lightly scent a cotton ball and put it in your mask. Praying appointments went well. 💖🙏👑✝
That was enjoyable Renee. Blimey though, your both struggling to get through it all. Really interesting stuff that guy had. Weird- as I said before- looks like a future time capsule of myself!☺️dont know how I feel about that..🫤
Renee, you look so stylish in your headscarf very 50's. Open it up, open it up, open it up - such excitement. Janice x 🕶👠💄🧣👛 🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀eek eek eek eek 👃👃👃Ain't usin' that on me nasals.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can't wait to see that horse!! Love the mystery digging videos. 🙂
Raggedy Ann needs to be rescued for sure!
"You're an antique dealer. Suck it up." Ha ha ha,, I love that man!
You and Tony are so much fun to listen to. Thanks for taking us along. ❤❤
Had to laugh when you said “I ain’t using that on my nasals”. This clean out is quite the adventure on the years gone by. I hope you are checking the pockets on all those blazers.
I love Tony, suck it up Renee! 😁
Me thinks that ms. Moose and Tony need a counselor intervention based on Tony handing Ms moose the stinky bag and she refusing to do the heavy lifting-that was so funny. Really enjoying this clean out and your interaction with Tony.
I think you and Tony have a lot of fun in the messy, smelly hoards you find.
I like the copper kettle on the hearth
Hi Renee. OMyGod! That place is full of stuff to sell. So glad you found paper to go through. What the heck did Tony find that was so smelly and funny? I could not stop 🛑 laughing. That smell was a long distance cousin of the hot dog house smell. Not as bad, but close!
This clean-out is great fun to watch! I like that you show the dirty, unglamorous (and sometimes smelly!) side of clean outs. ;-)
Great stuff in that place!
Thank goodness it isn't always smelly!
Speaking as one half of an old married couple - you guys sounded like an old married couple about the smells - and it was very entertaining. If that is a carousel horse - another good moneymaker! Tony Loves You LikeA Daughter,He’s So Sweet.😊
You both make a great team, relic hunters here we come,👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧🤠
The children’s records in the original sleeves are a cool find! I enjoy watching these clean outs. My nose actually itches seeing all the dust. And I love Tony!
It was fun to see the red children’s record. I can remember the colored records from my childhood.
This is quite the clean out. Aww Raggedy Anne is awsome. Quite the man he was with all these different items huh! You keep going through all this stuff..never know!😃👍🌞🌴💞
Im loving your finds. You and Tony are fun. I would buy some of that furniture. 😊

Having so much fun seeing what you find in this apartment! Those cobwebs in the attic were insane!
They must have been there for some time! Thank goodness there wasn't a spider as big as the cobwebs!
You two have a wonderful working relationship ❤ Best of luck on the treasure hunting.
What a beautiful ceiling in the opening clip.
This is going to be a real adventure & I'm going to be here for every moment 🎉🤞❤️
❤ TFS
Wish i had more scintillating comments.......just know i love your videos and wish you well!
You are such a brave soul! Great work Rene!😊

Thank you so much Renee for this fun video👍❤ At least it was fun for me, but so much work for you and Tony..... Carry on team🥰
Oh wow, just amazes me what get put with what. 😮 That horse would have been great to see pulled out. Interesting things here. Thank you for sharing this dig with us. ~ Texas
The horse will make a full appearance!
Looks like you guys have a lot of fun. It would be overwhelming for me.
So much to go through...so little time! 😮 You never know what you'll find! HAGD
Tony gently torments you, so much fun you two. "Suck it up, woman", 🤣
It looked like Tony was seeing if he could get you to throw up. Looking forward to see what treasures you guys might find.
hope the Clockwork Orange is the rare cover $$$$
Hi Renee & Tony! Having each other to visit with must make the time fly by & be so fun. Hopefully Tony gets more business because of these videos. ☺️

I work at a Railroad Museum and I'll second what you're saying, Cathy! Railroad stuff is highly collectable!
Wish we would find some dinnerware/place settings from the railroad, but only your everyday green foliage print supper plates!
What a fun great working relationship you and Tony have. I love the banter. Love this video of house clean outs.

i would love to be there digging through every thing!
I really love these shows ,especially when you to talk back and forth
Thanks

Ty for Video..U look so cute with that head band .It's so cool..
The old records were cool. Tony and you have a rapport with each other. Can't wait to see what you find next.😊
I'm familiar with smells of clean outs 🤢🤣
This one was almost similar to the hot dog house stench, but not quite there... almost though!
So funny, you make an excellent team
Love your pink sweat shirt Renee

"Mucus solvent and cleanser...." - Renee puts on mask!
Very brave to tackle this
Hi I love your retro finds
Thank you sharing. I am just amazed that people actually live like that.
I love how you folks started talking about the nasal wash and you immediately put your mask back on😮😄❤️

Love these videos.
The family had been invited in by the POA, so they removed what was wanted (no idea what they took, if anything).
I use vhs boxes to make notebooks, so someone else may use them too
Hopefully those VHS tapes have no mold ["let's get into it" tiktok reference :) ] otherwise there toss-able, also is this a pick or a full clean out?
Full clean out. To pick this might as well be a clean out, we really have to look in everything, at every piece of paper... things are tucked everywhere!

Do you have a deadline to be done with this house?
They would like it finished by the end of the month.
Renée try putting a little Vicks vapor rub on the inside of your mask. It will help with the gaggy smells!
Just curious, would it help you both to have the windows open, so it would be a bit fresher to work in the house. Great job!
We do have the windows open, the ones that we can open. Downstairs there are only 2 windows and upstairs we can only open 2.
Poland spring from my part of the country maine

Rene I live in Pittsburgh and I’d love to help you and Tony on your clean out and you think he would adopt me?
That foul smell - bottle and sell as a diet aid. One good whiff and your appetite goes away!
You got that right!
Yes, recycle as much as you can. One of my viewers just took in a consignment of 50's baseball card and was interesting to see what he valued them at. Dump those records (except the kid ones). ICK. 78's are not my friend. probably a song on one is Blazers and Cobwebs.

is Tony the Tote Man by chance?
I can't hear you
Who is the guy you are with? He mumbles all the time. Drives me crazy!
Keep all the smells stuff to yourselves. People are having brft or dinner while watching. Please
Oh my goodness, really??? All you have to do is stop watching and come back when you aren't eating. You are in control of your own life....
That was enjoyable Renee. Blimey though, your both struggling to get through it all. Really interesting stuff that guy had. Weird- as I said before- looks like a future time capsule of myself!☺️dont know how I feel about that..🫤
