- This video will show you how to Dualboot Windows 10 and 11 at the same time. This is a good way to try out Windows 11 if you aren't ready to give up Windows 10 yet, or if you're like me and have already installed Windows 11 but need to switch back to Windows 10 because some software you need to use doesn't work well on Windows 11.

I don't find many tutorial videos that are as clear and concise as this one. Keep up the hard work, this video was great. Subbed!
A super, concise, to the point, no bs, just the facts video with clear instructions! Thanks a lot!
Well done, thanks for covering msconfig and fast startup, a lot of people miss stuff like that
Finally someone makes a video I’ve been looking for!! Thank you!!
Hey, you did a really good job on this one. I'm gonna check out your other tutorials and let my friends know how much of a help you are when it comes to NOT making it impossible to work with your own p. c..... thanks alot. I look forward to seeing what else you can show me.
Thanks a lot, very simple and easy to follow. I needed this for making icons for both Windows 10 and 11 and I only had Windows 11. :)
I'm a bit late but that was a great video, very clear and you have a clear voice ready helped, thank you very much.
Thanks for the Tutorial, very well explained and easy to follow 😊
Very good Tutorial to dual boot windows 10. Love ya gonna do this on my 2 PCs
The best instructor!straight to the point
Great guide thanks. I would mention another thing thought, if you need to hide some of the drives/partitions you can put the disk offline or remove the drive letter in Disk Managment. Cheers!
Great tutorial helped me a lot thanks
very nice tutorial - easy to follow and complete - good job😄😃
Thanks! This helped alot.
Very nice, thank you, I assume we can do exactly same thing but on a 2nd drive?
Thanks you're really a life saver❤
You're a lifesaver, thanks!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO
Thanks it was very helpful.
Excellent, thanks very much!
Excellent, thanks!
Great help. Thank you
Would this work if I was to run two instances of windows 10 on the same drive? I want to install nt lite version of w10 for gaming only and regular windows 10 for browsing the net.
ty for the helpful tips
i have a question tho
how to hid all other partitions in the new windows
i like both windows 10 and windows 11 and doing this gives me the enjoyment of both worlds
FYI if you try to shrink and it shows a lot lower amount than is free go to event viewer and application, in there are two defrag entries, look in the first one and it will tell you what file blocks
Thanks
Thanks for your tutorial
Thanks, I plan on using windows 10 for my school and stuff and windows 11 for gaming and other fun stuff.
Will I still get the boot selection menu if I install operating systems on two drives? I want to be able to select windows 10 or 11 which will each be on their own drive.
Hi when I start my pc it's won't shows logo and not showing option for setup for default windows it's open with written windows 10 and 11 what should I do let me know plz thanks
Great vid thanks. I did this on Win10 with another Win10 on the second boot. Trouble is, the second boot says I am an Admin but wont let me move files. Plus, not giving it a drive letter doesn't work, you still see the other os. Maybe that's just a Win10 thing>?
When I did it it gave me a error when clicking on my drive but I also used my d data drive but it has windows on it because I transferred windows to it so I wonder if that could be the e problem please help
Could we change these window's logos on the "choose an operating system" page?
Can you multi-boot two installations of Windows 11? With two different licenses?
Hi, it's not working for me :( (I'm wanting to install Win 10 alongside existing Win 11 Pro). I follow your video but when I came to start the install after the boot all is well until it asks where the installation files are and then gives an error message advising it can't find a USB stick with the required files even when I direct it to the stick. Any thoughts? I can get it to offer to install Win 10 but it hasn't asked me to select which drive and it greys out the options to retain files etc. I haven't gone beyond that because I don't want everything deleted or do you think it just means everything on the nominated drive (if it allows me to make a nomination!)?
i am not having a usb flash drive can i go with iso file if yes then what is the procedure
Thanks for this very easy to follow tutorial. I had one snag though. When I selected the partition to install the new OS, which is on a separate HD, I got the error " Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style". Should I choose to format this partition at that screen. Will it automatically partition in MBR format? Is it ok to have one HD GPT and the other MBR?
Year later but also for others you have to set your system to boot from UEFI in your BIOS
Good video. One question though, can I choose to shrink the other partition (D:) instead of (C:) for the other OS? They are at the same disk but different partitions.
Yes you can.
@@TheHowToGuy123 so can I put it on my (D:) drive which is not my boot drive. As my boot drive has unmovable files which is preventing me from creating more than 20 gigs of space??
I've also tried defragging but that's no help
Can this be done if I want to dual boots Windows 11 and Windows 11 again? I want my son to have his own OS and not own user. His junk files and installs is slowing the PC down for my side.
@TheHowToGuy123, instead of installing new windows on the partition, how can I transfer another PC to the partition?
I haven't tried it myself, but what I would try to do is image the drive of the PC you want to install onto the new partition and use Macrium Reflect PE to install the image onto the partition.
hi brother! can i install windows server 2019 as a dual boot with windows 11??
ISO installation also works similar to media installation?
Good job im wondering can you run tiny11 dualboot
hey man thanks for tha tutorial. downloading windows 10to7 (which is a windows 10 version that looks exactly like windows 7) and will dual boot it with windows 11 :)
My laptop is a hybrid/SSD and HDD, my local disk C is 128gb SSD only. Can I install another windows OS on drive D instead since it has 1TB HDD?
So do you know how to do it?
I followed this with windows 11 existing on my pc, now i get two options WINDOWS 10 and WINDOWS 10 HOME as boot options, both of which boot into WINDOWS 11.
please can someone help when im making a partition it says i have 88gb free but when i try to make the partition it says i have only 5gb
i couldn't use the official media creation tool, because the only usb i had was only 1GB. i have 3 SD Cards though, so ill download the ISO and use rufus. Thanks for the tutorial btw
👍😎nice one
I have 23 GB free space on my C drive. How much of amount should be given for partition ?
Please give me a reply
I can't shrink my SSD to 128 GB for win 10. it says I have 255.47gb left but only 34.74gb that I can shrink! Why?
When I want to shrink, it doesn't let me do more than 12 gb. Can someone please help?
can I dual boot using two different drives?
Great video
My computer has no option for fast startup what should i do?
I have a question. So I have 2 laptops, my main running windows 11 and my other laptop runs windows 10, my windows 10 laptop is boot looping and keeps saying restarting under the startup Wheel and can I use the data from that laptop over to the windows 10 on my windows 11 laptop
How have to swipe the SSD and copy that data
THANK YOUUUU
Is this working with secure boot enabled?
does the usb version of windows have access to files of the ssd the internal version of windows is installed on?
if windows 11 was installed on a single ssd pc and a usb version of windows 11 with a virus installed was dual booted could the virus access data on the main ssd
yes
how do you install missing drivers
Thank you
is there a way without usb flash drive
Note: this also works with all other windows versions your pc supports
just a question, do u have to hold anything to get to the dual boot menu?
No, should appear on its own.
Nice video
windows 11 couldnt find any drives
6:51 "Then decline and skip all the bullshit Microsoft is trying to track you with." Legend. Thanks for confirming I am not crazy every time I declined that during setup.
I laughed when I heard him say that!!!
How do I do this if I install Windows 10 on a different ssd?
Well you dont get dualboot if the other Windows is on a different drive
you have to select ehich drive to boot from in bios each time
Why does my partition say logical drive
Wastly enlightened in 10 minutes! 😃
Nicee boss
please help.. i did everything but i cant see the windows 10 on my laptop. where to find it? please
Maybe the end part of the video helps
can we install the lite os by burning ISO to DVD, will that work?
maybe
I use dual boot but windows 11 is the default Os, if I select windows 10 the computer will restart and then load windows 10, it takes twice the time when switching, is this normal? Do you guys have any tips for that, I appreciate your help, thanks
depends on how fast your thumb drive is, either a 2 or a 3
Your tutorial for configuring a controller for Minecraft Java doesn't work I did everything you said to in the video but it won't work
comment on that vid
cool vid
if i already have an ssd that doesnt have anything in it, can i use that instead of shrinking my c drive?
thanks broo🎉🎉
i lost access to my first OS and cant get ethernet working on the second one.. fuck
What do i do when saying upgrade this pc
You are doomed, you overwrite you os now
i downloaded windows 10 on External ssd and now i can't run windows 11
@TheHowToGuy123, what happens if I want to do this but I already have activated and upgraded to windows 11. Can I have windows 10 and 11 on the same product key if the key is linked to microsoft account?
You should log into your microsoft account on your VM and it should automatically activate windows 11
@@TheHowToGuy123 I mean can I have windows 10 and 11 dualboot on the same key?
@@Megaenderdragon Yes. Anytime you log into your Ms account on windows with a key attached to it, your OS will be activated.
Hey, can you please make a guide on fixing the Windows 11 upgrade error (code 0xc1900101)? I've tried lots of methods mentioned on the web but none of them work.
yup, stuck too
I have 2 ssd on gameing pc
Okay, here's my problem, that's driving me crazy. My PC is Windows 10, and I decided to put windows 11 on a separate SSD. Okay, I added the boot info into my Windows 10 configuration, so it will ask me which system to boot to. If I choose Windows 10, no problem. Choose Win 11, and the blue screen of death, which gives me all kinds of options to fix the problem, which none of them have worked. If I go into BIOS, and tell it to boot to the Win 11 SSD, then Win 11 starts, but if I select 10, blue screen on that one. If I only plug one SSD in at a time, it boots perfectly to each one. What am I doing wrong? I don't want both OS on the same SSD, so is there a work around? Thanks to anybody who has an answer on this one.
Best
Well, I've gotten my video, specifically, indeed.
the usb didnt boot
Good job but microsoft is not trying to track you with something it’s just extra features
After installation no display driver, wifi , sound driver showing.
You'll need to install those drivers manually. Windows isn't always able to install them on its own.
@@TheHowToGuy123how do you do it
@@Tgtg14486 Go to the website of your computers manufacturer, look for your model then there will be a support page with downloads to the proper drivers.

i can bring windows 10 back to my grandma now!
My laptop is severe lag after dual booting, can someone help
win11 is 40gb so maybe boot drive is full, delete some stuff?
I'm getting the same with dual boot on a brand new laptop. Two instances of Windows 11. With a single install, login screen takes 2-3 from powering up. With dual boot, it now takes 15 seconds just to display the boot menu, then either 2-3 seconds to boot into the original Windows install or 25 seconds to boot into the secondary install. Tried this first by cloning the original Windows install and then tried resetting the laptop to factory default and then installing Windows 11 from MS download, the result being the same in both cases. Can't find an answer anywhere.
i am running windows 7 and want to dual boot windows 8.1
is it the same steps just with an iso file?
@@CD3R3Dno.
I am not able to shrink more than 412MB
You may have to temporarily remove hiberfil, system restore, and change virtual memory to “no paging file”.
@@dorpoise unable to understand.
Hi kyle.
my C: drive has only 4311 mb to shrink lol
i dont have a usb flash drive
Simple fix. Get one.
That is a skill issue
can i do this with (D:)?
Yes
@@TheHowToGuy123 it wont let me allow space, can i still do it?
Or skip the sign into account step
