dead scavs are at least A for me because sometimes you can get really expensive barter items from them, since the loot pool is like the sport bag. also they have more space so they can sometimes spawn high tier armor which you won’t find otherwise
u better give my boy, the black square weapon box the S tier, the amount of god tier mods i got from those is insane this wipe. FINALLY A WOODEN AMMO BOX RESPECTOR
As a guy with about 900 hours into tarkov, it all depends on what your willing to handle and risk. If you have a lightly modded ADAR, few or no keys, with lvl3 armor and a penis helmet on customs, then I'd recommend killing off scavs, avoiding PMCs, and grabbing whatever you can grab from File Cabinets, jackets, duffle bags, and weapon crates. If you have a nice AK, lvl 4 plus, keys etc, then go fight bosses and look for key rooms. My favorite loot run is on Customs. Get some cheap Lvl 4 tac rig, a Scav bag, and get a mid modded ADAR with M855 or M856A1 and some comtacs and helmet. You can kill players if need be, or toss a nade or two and disengage. Plenty of places to run too on customs. You can fight bosses. But my favorite is to go and hit the Hidden Stashes. There are a bunch on customs. 20-30 minutes, run around, grab the stashes, and fuck off. 150K minimum, easy, plus all sorts of useful stuff you can use. Play a raid, then play my scav. Let my PMC regen his soft stats a lil bit.
You should just run your pmc till you die then do a scav. You’ll level your pmc much faster with base level and skill levels. It’s important to get that search skill up. I’m at like 1500 hours now I think. Haven’t played for a year yet
Things I've looted from plastic suitcases: Defib, many streamer items, OScope. There's 4 on Interchange, and almost never out of my way, well worth looting tbh.
I've gotten a gpu, moonshine, and pretty good tier 5 armor/helmets off of dead scavs before. I'd say they are probably C tier at best though because thats like a few times out of like 500 times ive looted them.
4 or 5 days into wipe i found 2 impacts on my scav, proceeded to push a fight and found 3 mega geared guys in the stair case in scav tower and insta killed 1, grabbed his meta hk and then melted his two buddies! Best scav come up for me, not sure how they were so geared so early but I still have the hk
I'm like 45 and never once bought a grenade, so many nades scattered around interhcnage, also might be worth noting that when you find M67 nade and the smoke (nato looking one) you can then use that to craft eagle gun powder, if you get a fuse or a GL round you use those to make RDG-5 or VOG-25 and, or barter a fuse for a VOG-17 from mechanic level 2, very worth it learning all the grenade box spots imo
Filing cabinet is a tier in my opinion, ez search xp grind, intelligence, and a ton of dairy’s, ssds, flash drives and etc. and you get all of this for just 40 secs to loot an entire cabinet.
Safes have been my saving grace this wipe. I'm wealthier than I've been since I started playing Takov over three years ago just from hitting the safes on Customs and Shoreline.
Dead scavs are A tier for me. Within the last week or two I’ve had 2 tank batteries off the same dead scav as well as plenty of good barter items and ammo.
Some of these are map specific. Med boxes/bags on shoreline are definitely A tier. I farm shoreline and have found quite a few ledx in them. Almost more than the loose ledx spawns which is saying something. Tons of sj6/zagustin/oscopes etc too.
Big mistake with the Filing Cabinets, my man, they can spawn Intel (often even), Tetris, Lab access cards,......... (For instance, I see all people loot the shelves on crackhouse library, but rarely the filing cabinet in there, which is actually better loot than on the shelves) Same on Reserve (for instance; KORL : there were 3 Intels in that filing cabinet in one single raid)
Dead scavs are S tier for sure. I've looted several S-tier items in the game over the last few wipes, and almost never regret checking one. The only exception is that unknown key dead scav near crackhouse. He seems to be looted each time I don't spawn near him and when he isn't he drops crap...not sure if he has the same loot pool as the other ones.
The amount of money and high tier ammo I have gotten out of ammo crates is surprisingly high. The loot table for them is MASSIVE, but if you’re looting a lot of them each raid you make out pretty well
dufflebag in S Tier, my man knows what hes talking about. i have a duffle/crate route on inter where i made 8 million in 4h of scav runs(timer included). its 99% unlooted, people sleep on the good stuff. :>
Drawers are cracked. U can get labs access cards (the white one), same with diaries small and big ones, flashdrives, sas drives, ssd, SMTC, powerbanks, Gphones (golden aka summit1g phone, normal broken gphone and the "expensive" broken gphone), tetrizes, nixxors, working LCDs and ofc the broken one. ES-lamps and the Ultraviolet. U can pretty much get a full docs case with good items and sell them to therapist and PK even if u die for almost the same amount as on flea. Almost everything in it is at least 10k per slot and sometimes more depending on ur luck ofc. I can agree with it making a lot of noise but it will lvl up ur search skill pretty fast so u will get the good loot faster and then dip out. If u just wanna chill back for a few raids, get some money, lvl up ur search and attention skills (which u need for quests) looting drawers is big. Reserve is pretty much the best map for it, its ABOVE ground making it fairly safe since most are underground. I think shoreline or customs is the second best map with drawers if u dont wanna go reserve.
I 100% agree with your "dead scav" ranking however I should say that my friend was right next to me in raid and got a GPU from the one at the bus depot on shoreline, sigh. Got to love Tarkov.
I feel like they tweak the loot spawns in containers. Start of wipe I found 5 odd intel folders in cabinets. But have not seen any for a week or two.. very rarely do I see a key in filing cabinets either. Most common seems to be diary's, green diarys, lamps
I hit the dead scav in the trailer park of customs and this man had a Graphics card and a Pressure Gauge. I dont ever hit dead scavs and i only hit him cuz i was on my way out, and trailer park was looted. Needless to say, i now loot every dead scav lol
yeah deadscavs are OP i’ve gotten 2 gpus in the last two days off scav runs hitting them on customs by the sniper train & the one on the kids train by IDEA. not too mention i’ve found class 5 armour, moonshine etc the last couple weeks. i’d say the loot is no different than stashes
Also dead scavs man I have found about a dozen airframes and fast mts tons of large fuel and small fuel. Streamer items and random ammo. The loot table is a cross between stashes and duffles.
Literally you can make a fortune from lootin those wooden tool crates in lighthouse while going to path to shoreline, the loot is amazing like all the wrenches, kek tapes, bolts etc.
The barrel and ground caches are different. One has larger space in it than the other which changes what spawns in them. Another step forward also is that Shoreline and customs ones are different also with the % chance of certain things being higher from one to the other. For instance meds and household materials have a higher % chance in Shoreline caches compared to Interchange or woods ones. From my info gathering Woods has a much much much higher chance at tactical rigs and bags spawning in their caches compared to armor and clothing spawning more on interchange. There is a rather big difference between them also on what can and will spawn in each. I find that more tech or electrical supplies spawn in barrel caches compared to the wooden ones which i find food supplies and other stuff like ratpoison ect. Overal there is a massive difference between each and it is actually viable to switch up your cache runs by maps depending on what you are looking for. Just some info from a guy who probably has opened 500k caches since their addition to the game.

I would easily put Drawers in S tier, running and hitting all drawers on reserve as your scav easily nets around 300-400k Rubels every raid. But it does require some patience so I can understand why some would find this very tedious.
Can you do a barter tier list? I'd like to know which items with low vendor value are worth keeping for barters. I can't find one on RUclips so it could be a popular video.
I have gotten really good stuff out of suitcases, rolers, lion, GP sure sometimes not much but every now and then something really nice is hidden in there
I once got 2 GPUS and 4 MCB from one airdrop at the start of wipe while solo next to my exfil. Besides that ive alwawys gotten jack shit, so yea airdrops are very inconsistent

Not to mention, dead scavs have the same loot pools as duffles. But they are bigger so more can fit in them, how many tank batteries have you pulled from a duffle? I've pulled 2 off dead scavs this wipe. Slicks? Hexgrids? This man disrespected the highest value loot container for me personally I'm offended. Yes that dead man is a very good *loot container*

Well yes and no. Before u could only get ledx in medboxes on labs, now u can get them anywhere. Interchange and LABS i think has 100% chance to spawn iskras in the 4x4 weaponbox. And yes i think certain crates behind certain locked doors gives better loot. Like on shoreline in the resort that tweak talked about the green big boxes. Same with the green box inside the burning gasstation on shoreline, a lot of ppl have reported that they've found gzhels in that green weapon box. But i wouldnt say that labs has the best containers, most good loot u find on labs nowadays is loose loot laying around that dont even need a key or keycard or just the basic cheap keys like manager office/weapon testing area
I've found a ledx in the small medical box this wipe, and 2 from the small medical bags, only on shoreline. Found 0 last wipe, not sure if it's new or i just didn't hit them as persistently. Not sure if it's only shoreline as well
give me all the 67s. max strength you can throw them close to 90 meters on level ground and as much as 100+ when you are above. I've thrown one from pawn across and over the chopper to kill a 2 stack looting at the front door... impacts require that I give up my position...
I rate the dead scavs as B or A tier. I've found GPUs, moonshine, sugar, vodkas, good armour, all sorts of random valuable stuff in them.
Same found valuables like lions even

I've found 2 hexgrids, a slick, and multiple Face shields and quest items in dead scavs. 100% worth looting if you're already going by them.
Yeah I've gotten a slick and a GPU. They are usually shit, but have some rare items like jaegar stashes

Dead scavs have given me two slicks this wipe! Just anecdotal obviously, but those two slicks have kept me searching EVERY dead guy container.

I got 3 slicks from the circle cache and dead scav when I am playing scav. Also a P90, few MP5/7/9s in the dead scav in this month.

Well yes and no. Before u could only get ledx in medboxes on labs, now u can get them anywhere. Interchange and LABS i think has 100% chance to spawn iskras in the 4x4 weaponbox. And yes i think certain crates behind certain locked doors gives better loot. Like on shoreline in the resort that tweak talked about the green big boxes. Same with the green box inside the burning gasstation on shoreline, a lot of ppl have reported that they've found gzhels in that green weapon box. But i wouldnt say that labs has the best containers, most good loot u find on labs nowadays is loose loot laying around that dont even need a key or keycard or just the basic cheap keys like manager office/weapon testing area
I've found a ledx in the small medical box this wipe, and 2 from the small medical bags, only on shoreline. Found 0 last wipe, not sure if it's new or i just didn't hit them as persistently. Not sure if it's only shoreline as well
give me all the 67s. max strength you can throw them close to 90 meters on level ground and as much as 100+ when you are above. I've thrown one from pawn across and over the chopper to kill a 2 stack looting at the front door... impacts require that I give up my position...
also if they are close and chasing u... toss it straight up and it'll catch a ton of folks off guard.
