I am by no means a pitmaster, although I am one hell of a cook on the grills I own. Watching these videos makes me realize that I should be hanging around pitmasters. They are MY kind of people.
Ahhh man. It would literally be my dream to go here! The amount I could learn for my BBQ business here in the UK would be incredible. Watched chuds video on it last year and I am obsessed!
Great video as usual! I didn’t get to make it last year, but looking forward to going to the holy smokes barbecue festival here in Charleston, SC on November 9. Hope to see you there.
Windy City Smokeout is definitely a bucket list event for me. Unfortunate that Truth, L&L and Feges weren’t able to attend this year, but it looks like the quality of the event didn’t suffer one bit! That pork belly looks legendary 🙌
Those guys have more balls than I do to fry something in those aluminum pans. Way to thin and if it leaks, you have a hell of a fire. Life in the fast lane, I guess. Have fun Joe. Thanks for the video.
Due to the background text on the signs that are elevated, behind you, it’s all backwards. I don’t even know the settings on my iPhone to create this effect. Just askin’…
My boy Thyron is big stressing!! He can't use his famous mop sauce since the rotisserie can't move. I wonder if his rig can still manually turn those so he can eventually pull all of them out. 200 Racks I would be flipping out! Plan D is right haha
@@knoxavebbq that’s true, they can piggyback on each other. Cost kept me away this year, but watching your coverage and @grillinwithdad coverage gave me FOMO
The possibilities are endless with Asian/TX fusion style BBQ. I cannot wait until it spreads to more areas.
It’s been happening for sure!
I'm in Texas and have been doing it for years. Brisket or pulled pork tacos with kimchi. Korean bulgogi or galbi with butter tortillas and guacamole
Still looks like a great time but missed seeing the rest of the BBQ crew from last year. Some great looking food... thanks Joe

Haha. Pitmaster is an over used term. We’re just ppl who like to cook and always working on making it better. 😁
@@knoxavebbq BBQ is a completely different game from grilling
Looks like a great time. May need to take a road trip from Minneapolis to Chicago next summer! Thanks Joe!
Yea! If you’re a bbq fan this is the place to be and it’s not too far.
@@knoxavebbq I have 2 recteq smokers and would like to track down a direct heat one as well, a Chud box would be sweet. Thanks
Dude, these are some of the funnest videos to watch. Thanks for an amazing ride at the Windy City, and please keep'em coming.
Haha. Appreciate it. Thanks for watching
Joe,
Another fine video documenting this festival! This reminds me. How about a video on cooking in bad weather?
Keep up the great content!👍
Not much to it other than trying to keep your wood dry

Agreed!
I have to tell you I'd like to see
Lanie gardner on your video she was playing at windy city
She is the best
I hope you got to see her I wish I could.
One day bro, I can drive there from Toronto.
Dang. Well next year you’ll have two opportunities

Haha. He got it figured out. He’s a pro.
Can’t watch videos where people don’t change the settings on the front camera.
I think there’s enough bbq demand to break off the music portion. Get the cost down and focused on all bbq.
I thought that before as well, but this the music is a HUGE portion of it. The bbq community it’s tight, but the music community is giant.

It would be waaaayyy better if it wasn't in the worst city of the worst state in the nation
Ok
