My mom has alzheimers. I wish it wouldn't take 10 years or I wish I could get her into a clinical trial.

Trump signed an executive order regarding a patient's "right to try" experimental drugs. Might want to check that out.

You're better off using EAP (expanded access program) & compassionate use, as these provide the patient more protections. They've existed for decades, require informed consent & delineate patient's rights (RTT does not advise of patient rights). You have recourse if you suffer an adverse effect from an investigational drug (RTT protects the manufacturer & anyone else involved from liability, i.e. can't sue them). EAP cost of medication typically covered by the pharmaceutical company or insurance (RTT often doesn't cover the cost). EAP covers patients w/ long-term/chronic illnesses, whereas as RTT is only for terminal patients. Basically RTT is inferior to programs that already existed, just attempts to bypass FDA approval & oversight.

Many times Alzheimer's is confused for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, Shunt Surgery Needed. Virgin Coconut Oil, Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) is shown beneficial for Alzheimer's, Dementia, Food for Brain. Google.

You are missing the fact that the fda is the only reason we have psuedoscience illnesses like Alzheimer’s

Please check with your local universities that have medical schools. I was helped in 2000, age 45, by a neuro-psychiatrist (UC Denver) doing studies for brain injury victims by using Alzheimer drugs. I am a brain injury survivor and was given Donepezil, which changed my life for the better.

This is awesome if the fda will make it affordable for people instead of keeping it from everyone. No telling what diseases are curable that are withheld from public knowledge.
