Just looked on their website to figure out what they are and they focus a lot on automatic royalty distribution and selling percentages of royalty ownership as NFTs. I was wondering how they made money if they didn’t get a cut of royalties, but in the FAQ they clarify that they distribute royalties in their NEWM token. In other words, what they do is charge you $10 per release, then take all of the royalties for themselves and give you some funny money that you’re supposed to believe other people will buy. Or they somehow actually to burn all the royalty money to produce the newm token, which is somehow worse to me.

there is a well known Dragons Dens UK pitch, where a band comes on, and they offer a % in return for investment. So I get it maybe fans can own 0.0001% of their favorite artist. There is also a more recent pitch for a music promotion service. Cyprto, NFTs are an idea in search of a question. There maybe something that model works for, but so far hat has yet to be found. I GUESS the idea is that I as a fan / investor in "Band XYZ" take a bitcon of NFT based around that band, future fans will buy that NFT / Bitcoin at a highe rate than I paid for it. Even if the band bet the odds and hit the big time, any contract signed with this company would be all but null and void.
Plus there's also that, well, why would anyone wanna buy one of those tokens to begin with?
